The worst pharmacy I have ever had to deal with. They are unable to fill prescriptions on time. I have been getting jerked around by them far too long. I'm looking for a BETTER pharmacy that actually cares about their customers. Zero Star.

This pharmacy should be permanently closed. The staff is completely incompetent. Since they're open 24 hours I went to get a prescription filled for a family member just discharged from the hospital. The guy working there acted like he was bothered to do his job. He said the insurance was inactive. Since I picked up a prescription from a competent pharmacy earlier in the day I knew he was wrong. He sat there and listened on speakerphone while I called the number on the card and listened as it was verified the insurance is active. He just kept repeating, on his end it was saying inactive. He said I could try tomorrow. Yeah... no. Obviously it was needed tonight. Thanks for nothing CVS, as usual. You are the bottom of the barrel. Close your doors. You're useless.

HORRIBLE PHARMACY EXPERIENCE!!! My son was recently diagnosed with a large brain tumor. While awaiting surgery, he started experiencing vision problems. He was prescribed eye drops to relieve pressure caused by the tumor. We picked up the prescription from Magothy Beach Rd, and once we got home, we realized that the eye medication expired a month prior. We returned to the pharmacy early the next day with the medication. The pharmacist did not bother to acknowledge the mistake or verbalize any regret. I did hear a faint whisper of an apology from the tech as she handed us the replacement. My son has now had one of multiple tumor removal surgeries. Still, he continues to experience unexpected rapid vision loss. Not only does he have to contend with the seriousness of the tumor and more brain surgeries, but now the possibility of going blind. The eye doctor recommended he continue to take the medication to preserve the vision he has left while awaiting the subsequent surgery. We went back to CVS to fill the medication.Shame on us for not looking at the expiration date before leaving. It has yet to expire technically but is suitable for another month, according to the manufacturer's date. The pharmacist pointed that out when their customer service contacted them regarding the complaint I filed over the phone. Yes, a defensive response instead of a genuine apology and plan of correction is always acceptable!! They were technically supposed to pull medication off the shelf 90 days before the manufacturer's expiration date. I was assured by customer service that I would receive a call back within one business day from "Chris," the DM. It has now been three business days, and I have not spoken with anyone, so I called back to customer service for an update. I was advised that the pharmacist called me yesterday but did not reach me by phone ( no voicemail left) and my case was closed. The lack of service, empathy, and professionalism continues. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO CONTED WITH RECEIVING MEDICATION OF UNCERTAIN QUALITY FROM A PHARMACY WHILE NAVIGATING THEIR HEALTH CONCERNS!! We will no longer use this location or CVS for pharmacy services.

The pharmacy is consistent at being the worst! Generic antibiotics or pre-packed birth control take hours and hours to fill. 8 hours later when it’s still not done, they will kindly “expedite” it which will take “an hour or so”. This is every month and every prescription ever. They are so consistently great at being the worst.

I tried to call the pharm to speak to someone about medications. Sat on hold for 26 mins, to get hung up on. A co worker also tried to call regarding a clients medications, she left several voice mails, none of her calls were returned. She called back just to sit on hold for over an hour. This pharm does NOT give good client care, nor do they seem to care about peoples medications. A few months back my boss had to go up to this location and sit there to find out what was going on with another client's medications. This is beyond ridiculous.

I hate this pharmacy, and yet we use them because they are so convenient. Just tonight, we tried to pick up an important medicine. We were told it was not ready yet and would be another hour. My wife went back to pick it up and it was still not ready.I've been waiting for one medicine for 6 weeks. It's an important thyroid medicine did I need to take daily, or I die. I've gone to several other pharmacies and they get me the meds within a day.I don't think I could rank any business lower than this. I'm calling their headquarters tomorrow to complain, again!

Pharmacy is the most unorganized, slowest place I’ve ever seen. Never answer the phone. Took a lifetime warranty-ed heart rate monitor back to replace it. Told they couldn’t do it without any explanation. Refuse to go there again.

I read the reviews but thought I'd try and I had issues......ended up getting my medicine transferred to Walmart. The pharmacist today.........smh. I'll just say if you can go somewhere else for pharmacy I would, I'd rather wait until the next day to get my meds instead of going here and these people making me catch an attitude and make my blood pressure go up. The other employees were nice and helpful

Pharmacy only has 2 people working in it every time I go. I know they have to be stressed out trying to serve everyone so I don't fully blame them for the super slow service. Don't use this pharmacy unless you absolutely have to

They literally are just there for the pay check. Always a poor experience coming here... it's unfortunate there isn't another 24 hr pharmacy... if there was and the staff wa sjust polite and compasionate it would probably put this CVS out of business. People go to the pharmacy generally because they don't feel well. They just make that worse here with poor attitudes and very extended wait times

So first of all my son is sick, so I just wanted to be in and out of cvs, I was there at 640am this am. I wanted to swap a panel out because it was the wrong one. When I found someone I asked him if he worked here he just gave me that look like yea I asked him can you please help me with a picture he wasn’t to thrilled about it, so I explained to him like 5 times that I need to swap the panel and I paid for it already and that the right one is sitting there 😑 so he didn’t understood what I need itSo I asked for a manger I told her once and she got the job done ✔️ don’t just fill the spots because you need someone just to work there. I was so frustrated when I walked out of there.

I am sitting in line the second time either seven cars ahead of me. My rx was called in over 5 hours ago. Nope not ready. My other rx I have now waited 2 weeks for. Nope on back order.After returning home rx is now ready.very frustrating!!!!

Pulled my son out of school during the day because we had scheduled to get flu shots, waited in line for 15 minutes, got to the window and had them tell us they weren't doing flu shots and shrugged their shoulders when we told them we had appointments. It would've been nice to be notified in some way before I pulled my son out of school for the day.

This pharmacy simply doesn't care about you as a customer. I had a prescription sent to them, FIVE hours prior to calling in to make sure to let them know I am on my way. I then got there 45 minutes later.The pharmacist is in there talking to another guy about women and who they are dating from Cameroon. Meanwhile, I talking to the girl behind the counter who tells me nothing is ready. I displayed shock and she just throws her hands up and says "I know". I told her it was sent in almost 6 hours at this point, and again, she says, "I Know". As if this is a regular occurrence!Maybe the Pharmacist should spend less time talking about women and more time doing his job instead of disrespecting customers time.They dont' give a damn about their customers, period

The worst pharmacy in the area for picking up. Wait times in the drive thru literally take 25 to 30 minutes. Going inside there is always a line back through the aisles. Currently have been sitting here for 27 minutes with only 3 cars ahead of me and 6 cars behind me.

Terribly understaffed to the point of service interruption and ridiculous wait times. They don’t seem to treat their staff very well and everyone is aways stressed out. Don’t even attempt to call the pharmacy - it’s a 30+ minute hold time IF THEY ANSWER AT ALL. Why did CVS bother with monopolizing this area if they aren’t going to serve it?

I recently switched to this CVS location (I wasn't happy with the service provided at the CVS location I used previously.) I have received prompt, efficient service each time, and scripts were filled in a timely manner. The drive-thru was very busy during my recent visit, so I knew there would be a wait, but once I arrived at the window the employee was polite, and service was prompt.

I do not know who owns or runs this establishment but whoever you are/ they are needs to figure some things out. I sat with my 6-year-old son in the pharmacy drive-thru tonight for an hour without any acknowledgment from anyone within the pharmacy. I then drove around and went into the pharmacy for my son's prescription. There was only a pharmacist there and another young lady counting a drawer and I asked her if the pharmacy drive thru was open and she said yes but the pharmacist is new to their location and by herself and trying her best. So I let the young lady know since you know that maybe you can help her out and let the people in the drive-thru know that she will be with them shortly. She was very rude and dismissive and proceeded to drop the drawer on the floor after scurrying away from me and then after she finally got all of the money off of the floor and secured in the drawer, she went over and told the person in the drive-thru that we will be right with you. Not sure why it took me telling her to do that for her to do that out of common courtesy for the poor pharmacist that was falling behind and scrambling to help everyone on her own. The pharmacist didn't even know she wouldn't have any help on her shift until she arrived at this location. There are plenty of pharmacy staff looking for jobs and it is very discouraging that you are trying to run a business taking care of patients this way. Thankfully, my insurance does not have a contract with CVS, but I was glad to pay out of pocket for my son's medicine to help with his pain being that you're the only 24-hour pharmacy in the area, but I feel like you are taking advantage of that. I'm not sure what your motives are here, but maybe you are looking to close down the pharmacy and this is how you're going about it. There is no way you are going to stay in business running your pharmacy this way. Do better. I will definitely be calling CVS corporate to report this as well. I'm sure I will be one of many that have done so.

The pharmacist in the night shift is so obnoxious. Not professional at all. Is this what CVS stands for? The pharmacist was not helpful and just walked away while explaining the prescription. The The attitude of a 3rd grader. I should have known by the reviews this CVS has. Don't come to CVS. Walgreens has much better service. You have lost one more customer thanks to the pharmacist service. Will be going to Walgreens from now on.

One star is being generous. Worst pharmacy ever. Denied ever having a prescription that they have to accept on an automated system... you can't deny you accepted it when the doctor can validate it. Never answers the phone. Terrible customer service. Never has proper medications in stock, claims it's a widespread problem, but you can go to other pharmacies in the Pasadena area and find it easily. Stop giving money to this place.

The pharmacy NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. I’ve been on hold waiting to speaker to someone for almost an hour after calling back multiple times. The only help the front can give me is to say they will transfer my call to the pharmacy or I can come in person. It’s 2023 and we have telephones now. I called because I shouldn’t have to come in. My prescription was called in at 12:30pm and it’s still not ready at 8:11pm but no one will answer to tell me why. I am switching my entire families prescriptions to another pharmacy

I wish I could go below 1 star. The ONLY reason to go here is that it's a 24 hour pharmacy. Show up at 9pm, "your prescription isn't ready, give us 30 minutes".Come back at 10:15pm, "Hmm let me see if that's in stock. Yep, we have it! Just give us 30 minutes to get it ready".Same story every single time I come here. If any competitor opened a 24 hour pharmacy, it would immediately make a killing from all the people abandoning this place.

If I could give a negative 5 star rating i absolutely would. The pharmacy techs have the worst attitude, rude as can be. On multiple occasions I have visited cvs 3 and 5 times in a day to pick up. Each time not ready or I am given the minimum information just to find out the last the 4th time I visit they say I need to speak to the pharmist about something which delays the perception longer. I have been using the pharmacy for 15 years and they have gone seriously down hill. We will be switching to another pharmacy, I know we are not the only family suffering from horrible service.

Like many others, I'm through going to this store. The folks in the pharmacy have poor attitudes and treat customers like idiots. I received a phone call to come pick up my prescription. The very next morning I went to the pharmacy to get it only to find out it wasn't available. I told the person helping me that I got a call to come get it. She told me that I now needed to speak with the pharmacist and to wait at the other counter. I then overheard her speak to the pharmacist and state I don't have time to deal with this today. I then watched and associate speak on their phone for several minutes while I was waiting. They finally hung up and approach to help me, and blamed me for not picking up my prescription in time, it was restocked. I expressed my concern that I received a phone call literally 8 hours prior, and she raised her voice at me while continually telling me I did not pick it up in a timely manner. I told her there was no need to be confrontational with me as a customer questioning why my prescription wasn't available when I had just received a phone call several hours prior. Needless to say, this will be the last time I use this pharmacy or store. Pasadena has plenty of choices to choose from with people that know how to work with customers.

My god, I’ve never, in all my life, encountered a worse store than this one. Literally 50 people in line, with no one attending to them. Drive through pick up shuttered and closed, with no one answering. And don’t bother calling, surely! They leave you on hold for over an hour, if they don’t hang up on you immediately (happened twice!!). I had surgery today and need my antibiotic so I don’t get an infection and die. Well, this place certainly doesn’t care. They make no effort to help, hang up on you, and cannot do their jobs. On top of that, the pharmacy area is trashed and disgusting—clearly no one does even basic work here. It’s simple—if you cannot fill prescriptions (the whole purpose and main function of a pharmacy!), CLOSE DOWN!!! Stop tricking people into sending their prescriptions there (especially on the day of surgery!!) WHEN YOU CANNOT FULFILL THEM!!! I hope corporate cvs shuts this abomination down, or some government agency! Disaster!

I've used this pharmacy for years.But this CVS has steadily gone downhill and it's now hit rock bottom. The pharmacy is always understaffed, it has a high turnover, the employees are obviously overworked and frustrated and often rude, it closes down randomly -probably because the staff keeps quitting, they don't answer the phone in the pharmacy or you stay on hold for an hour until you finally give up after being tortured by intentionally distorted hold music designed to make you go away, you have to call 3 times to make sure they've filled your prescriptions (they often don't or it takes them 12 hours or more), and their management doesn't seem to care. Unfortunately, all the CVS branches in this area seem to have similar issues.CVS is a failing company - even though they're making incredible amounts of money - because they have no sense of customer service and they obviously abuse their employees. Disgusting. Customers are going to start talking with their wallets. This CVS should be audited for safety and business practices and probably shut down. Read the other reviews. Unfortunately, they're not exaggerating.Update 12/11/22 - 3 days of calling and no answer, pharmacy looks trashed and dirty disorderly and only 1 pharmacist and 1 cashier who look exhausted, drive through closed, 15 people in line, and not answering phones. I'm finding another pharmacy. I hear Mike's is good.
