We sat in a corner with no one around us, which is fine. We placed a drink order- they didn’t have the flavor I wanted, again fine. The drink came out not made correctly but was fixed. It took a decently long time to get our appetizer- wings to which they were room temp and not very flavorful. When we asked for recommendations, my husband ordered one of the highly recommended items and about 10 minutes later were told they were all out of that meal for the evening. Again, he picked something else, no problem. Then when our food came out, mine was beyond burnt and other than burnt not full of flavor. After paying, expressing the unsatisfactory because it wasn’t about paying for the items. She said oh I wish I had seen it before they served it, but she came over to the table immediately after and then we didn’t see her again until we were done. When asking for a manager we were told there’s no one to speak to about it and the manager left for the night. She didn’t care when I said we would probably not return. Which kinda sums up the whole experience of not seeming to serve us or be around.

Love this place. Great place for dining or just drinks. One of the best items to have for dinner here is their wood fired pizza. The wait staff here is always very friendly and very willing to make sure everything is just right. The have a large outdoor dining area that is great to dine in as well as a covered patio that is enclosed in the cooler weather. They also have live music sometimes.

We have been here multiple times. We stick to appetizers and pizzas ( ordered burger and sandwiches once and portions were small nothing that great flavor wise) otherwise Food has always been good as well as the service. Love the buffalo chicken pizza, wings, the regular nachos are large and Addicting. Great drinks! Casual place consistently reliable something for everyone.

To start Caitlin was an all star server and the best server we have had in a long time. We sat outside and it was a great relaxing atmosphere. We got a flight of four beers that were decent. For lunch we shared a German pretzel with crab dip, ESMD Cobb salad, and jerk mahi mahi tacos. Portion size of everything was great. Chicken on the cobb salad was dry, but everything else was good. Our real disappointment was that Tall Tales hasn’t brewed their own beer for about a year now, but the waitress said they are in the process of getting back started soon. I do give them credit for having a wide variety of other beers.

We found this place on a Friday motorcycle ride and they have great food and drinks! I really like the shrimp tacos and smoked wings with the crab dip appetizer. On our next visit we are going to try the build your own pizza because they look great. Definitely will be going back often to try the rest of the menu and for our Friday night get out of the house date night with the wife!

2/17/2024 EXCELLENT! 😊Took my 12 year old grandson here for his birthday lunch, his choice. Sydney was our server and she was awesome and compensated with a nice tip . Mahi Mahi Bowl was great and the Cheesesteak Bowl, except small portions for the price. The Sriracha Chicken Wrap was good and very different and the pizza with bacon bits was very tasty. After getting home and looking at my receipt, I called and spoke with the manager, Tyler, who was super nice, regarding different prices being charged than listed on the menu and he explained why. Be sure to pay with cash so you aren’t charged the 3% surcharge for using a card.We will return again and pay cash. EXCELLENT food atmosphere and service!

Really fantastic service, very polite and quick and accommodating (we had an infant with us). They also allow dogs under 50 lbs on their back patio. They have a huge Cornhole area and bar/wood fired pizza oven out back, too. Beautiful landscaping. We got a sampler of multiple beers and the nachos. They have really interesting beers to try. Great for just one or a large group. Located right off Ocean gateway. I highly recommend it!

Our favorite place in the area. Pizzas are awesome, beer is great and never overcrowded when we go. The entire menu is good as well as the specials we have tried.Vegetarian options: They offer dairy and gluten free options which make this place all the more awesome.

Atmosphere is nice. Beer choices were good. Pizza was amazing. Hostess and busboy being all lovey at front counter was not business appropriate.

Can’t say anything negative. Food was ahhMazing. Pizza was delicious. I ordered the Shrimp salad stuffed Avocados and was thrilled at how good they were. Prices were decent for beer. Plenty of parking and it’s a quick and easy stop right off route 50 far enough away from all the traffic around Ocean City.

Ah, Tall Tales Taphouse, where the atmosphere brims with as much potential as a blank page in a storybook, earning it a three-star prelude for ambiance alone. Yet, as one ventures deeper into the tale, the plot thickens—or rather, tangles—into a culinary narrative so convoluted it could befuddle even the most seasoned of gastronomic adventurers.Embarking on a journey through the menu is akin to navigating a labyrinth crafted by a trickster god, where pizza, tacos, and cold hoagies appear as bewildering signposts, leading not to culinary cohesion but to a realm of delicious disarray. It's as if the kitchen asked, "What genre are we writing today?" and the answer was a resounding, "All of them, and make it confusing." The result? A mishmash menu that, while ambitious, leaves one pondering whether Tall Tales Taphouse is suffering from an identity crisis or simply embracing culinary chaos as its muse. And then, there's the infamous "Red Headed Step Child," a brew so peculiar it transcends the boundaries of traditional beer-making into the realm of the avant-garde, or perhaps the absurd. This beer, with a name that hints at mischief and maladjustment, delivers on its promise by offering a taste experience that is, quite frankly, unforgettable—for all the wrong reasons. It's as if the brewmaster set out to capture the essence of a tall tale in liquid form, only to end up with a narrative so perplexing it leaves the palate in a state of bewilderment. In the grand saga of Tall Tales Taphouse, the "Red Headed Step Child" stands as a testament to ambition unchecked by the constraints of conventional flavor profiles, a bold experiment in brewing that veers off into the hinterlands of taste. It's a reminder that not all tales are meant to be told, or at least, not all brews are meant to be savored. So, while the atmosphere of Tall Tales Taphouse may beckon like the cozy glow of a campfire, inviting patrons to gather 'round for stories and suds, the actual fare tells a different story—one of a venue struggling to find its narrative thread, serving up a plot twist with every dish and every pour. In this tale of culinary confusion and brewing bravado, the three stars awarded are less accolades and more a beacon of hope that perhaps, one day, Tall Tales Taphouse will find its way, penning a menu and brewing a lineup of beers that live up to the promise of its enchanting ambiance.Until that day, we navigate the menu with caution, sip the "Red Headed Step Child" with curiosity, and await the next chapter in the ongoing saga of Tall Tales Taphouse, hopeful for a tale that finally finds its footing.

Have been here a few times before tonight and we loved it! Tonight was a different story! Tried to order 2 different drinks on the menu and was told they are not available and that the menu is incorrect. Party of 8 and it took 45 minutes for an appetizer and our waitress told us our kids pizza was late because the first one was burnt. I was sad that the bruschetta is no longer on the menu so I Ordered mahi mahi tacos and my husband had the salmon blt. Both were burnt to a crisp and dried beyond recognition.. the waitress was very sweet and very apologetic so we didn’t take the poor food out of her tip, but we will not be returning. We were told they are under new ownership and our experience was poor at best.Vegetarian options: Need more!

Absolutely outstanding experience. Every single beer we tasted we liked. Add to that a first class foodie experience and it's well worth the 30min drive from OCMD.

The atmosphere, our beer, food, and waitress were all exceptional. Unfortunately it was raining so we weren’t able to spend time in their beautiful outdoor area, so we’ll definitelu be back soon to check that out.

Definitely one of my favorite breweries I have ever been to. I ordered the crab cakes and I tell you what I'm pretty sure it was the best crab cakes I've ever had. Between the 3 of us that went we tried all of their beer and none were disappointing. Definitely would say the Wildberry Sour was my favorite. I also tried their Bloody Mary and I liked it so much I came home and ordered the George's Spicy Bloody Mary Mix that they use to make it. Definitely plan on visiting again!

We went here for dinner last night and the brick oven pizza was delicious with freshly made dough and ingredients, the staff was attentive and pleasent, there was a good variety of craft beer from the cheesecake sours, to hazy ipa's and the candy kitchen oatmeal stout. Great experience!

Delicious food, great service. We got the pretzel to start, it was huge! And a black and bleu pizza, so good. My husband got a beer flight, I tried a couple of the fruity ones, including the mango which was really good (and I don't like beer).

Trisha was our server and I have to recommend her. She was always making sure we had everything we needed and was a delight to have. The food here is also amazing. I got the Mediterranean Cheesesteak wrap and the others in my party got a traditional Pepperoni pizza. Both of these items were astounding. The pizza is a thin crisp crust which is what I prefer. Prices are not too expensive especially for the quality of the food and the experience. You have to come out and try Tall Tales!
