Very clean and organized, there is an assortment of animals that you can buy with an amazing variety of fish especially betas! Reptiles, birds, small mammals, cats, and you can even have a pet groomed. These chameleons are pretty sweet looking!

I took my dog to get groomed and for some reason the stylist was Jacqueline L and not Frank. I got the text to pick my dog up then she called about 15-20 minutes after “hey did you get the text because your dog is finish” which I felt was unnecessary because it takes me 30 minutes to get there. When I arrived the first thing this girl gonna say “you’re gonna have to choose a different stylist because I’m not going to groom him again we don’t get along” then got smart again with me regarding a wrong dog color she placed on my dog saying she asked me if it was his & I said yes which she did not. I felt her attitude and customer service was awful and makes me wonder if she is abusive to my dog or any other dog with that awful attitude she displayed. Mind you I have no idea what he did for her to act that way. He has been going there for about 2 years and I had 0 complaints about him.

Brought the Queen 🐈 in for her VetCo clinic visit. Saved about $20.00 vs. regular Vet bill before rabies shot and flea/tick treatment, which was additional. Friendly staff. You pick; you choose what you want accomplished. 🐾

I took my dog here several times because it’s closer to my home and the guy groomer hacked her up. Every time he cut her bald and most of things she have a bath and don’t smell like it. He never do anything to her nails or squeeze her glands.

Understaffed, respect. There has to have equilibrium amongst the staff to customer. I was appalled that we were requesting service and waited a good amount of time to merely get a frog. Only due to a long transaction with a previous customer. Then to make matters longer the customers who came after us were serviced first. The staff member was humble about it but this was not a fair experience. ☹️

I had an appointment with a man named Frank form dog grooming and he refused to service my dog claiming that it was something wrong with him but when I spoke to the vet they said he was fine and he was just matted. Plus I left a precheck in which he did not check waisted my time and money!!! I would not recommend him or this place. The staff is rude and do not know how to do their job. Better of going to pet smart !!!!!

All the animals are awesome I wish I could buy them all, besides a slight pricing error the visit was Soo awesome and everyone there were super kind and helpful. I just wish again, I could have them all lol

They have a pet grooming section in their stores. And they have a large selection of merchandise for your pets. The only downside that I question was their charge of 10 cents for a plastic bag. This nonsense may cost them future business down the road.

Store employees don't greet customers or say hello. When I approached them, they looked at me like - what do you want. I just shook my head. They need customer service training. They must greet and say hello to all customers who approach them and not say, “What's up.”

To anyone who purchases refrigerated food from this location, please check the sell by dates. I did not, and ended up purchasing food that expired 1/11/23 on 03/07/23. As a result my dog has been sick for 4 days. When I explained this to the manager at this location he compensated me for one package even though I had purchased 2. I wish there were more fail safes to prevent this from happening and that more compassion and courtesy was extended to loyal customers. Understanding goes a long way for customer retention.

This is my favorite Petco branch in Maryland so far. If you make the effort to be engaging and ask good questions the staff will go out of their way to be helpful and kind. It makes you feel like a million bucks. And they are always welcoming to my animals which I love even more. We've gotten some terrific deals as well as high quality products and have found that over the last few weeks I guess it's been about 6 weeks now we've been able to highly enjoy great service from each one of the staff members we've encountered especially Brandon, Becca and Betsy. They really have made me feel welcome and cared about as well as showed so much knowledge about the products and how to best utilize being a Petco regular customer. Such as tips as to when to expect to see new stuff come in during the week and upcoming events like the pet vaccination. That clinic gave me an opportunity to try out the service and get my beloved dog updated ahead of schedule. I mainly used it because I wanted to do things to patronize this terrific Store Branch and they're wonderful staff. I plan to be a regular visitor at the store for a long time to come. Thank you for treating me so well. Thank you for providing terrific food, Alicia's harnesses, outfits oh The outfits we get so many compliments on her beautiful straw hat rubber ducky raincoat and fancy jackets from Petco you wouldn't even believe it. You would think that she was a show dog or an actress dog with a fan club when we go out. People literally stop me to take her picture and I'll gawk at my sweet dogs adorable outfits. And since she's such a good dog they enjoy visiting with her and petting her as well.

This petco is nice, some of the staff are super helpful and some are on their phones, and would rather point in the direction to the item you look for them show you and make it easier. Had a gentleman tell me just look at the fish take we have and then you can tell what light bulb you need.... and walked away. Also was not to fond of my dog being close to him.But the other staff go out of their way, they love animals and helping people and I'm glad this Petco is a mile from home.

I came here a few times just to look around they didn't have farrets then when I did finally see one it hurt my heart 💜💜 never knew they where so expensive I would pay 200$ but anything over that imma question ❓ dam why so expensive they seem to be cool little pet's I have owned everything nearly in a pet shop that you can think of but a farret imma go to Pennsylvania to grab one I heard there a lot cheaper there

The sales associates at my local Petco are really helpful and sweet. With the staffing shortages and prevalence of self-checkout, I really appreciate having people I can ask for advice or help and just having a warm friendly human interaction is a nice change. Think about stopping at the Parkville, MD Petco the next time you need something quick for your pet.
