We have used Golden Wood Kennelsnumerous times for our two dogs. We love the staff and our dogs love the staff, which is the most important thing. Love getting pics of their snuggle time and we always feel comfortable boarding them there, knowing they will be safe, comfortable and most of all LOVED!!!!

We go out of our way to travel to board our dogs here. The staff happily accommodates any special needs or quirks of our pets, and we feel quite comfortable leaving them in their care. As most pet owners, we hate to have to board them, but trust them at Golden Wood!

Kelley R. gave our pup her first haircut and it is adorable! Our pup doesn't have her confidence yet with new situations and people and this made me nervous leaving her for grooming. But I felt she was safe at Golden Wood and obviously Kelley was able to keep her calm and gave her an awesome haircut. We will be back.

Bentley is a very protective family member, and normally bites anyone close. Called golden woods and explained my issue and they were able to take care of Bentley without a issue or incident lol. Would definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone.

The staff are very knowledgeable, attentive and caring. You can trust that they will take care of your pets like they are their own. The property and kennels are exceptionally kept. They even have cat condos with enclosed outdoor access so your cats can sit out and safely watch the birds! They also offer grooming services so when you pick your pets up they can be smelling and looking better than when you brought them! Hands down the best place to bring your pets!

The staff are really nice, kind and caring. Our Boykin Spaniel eagerly goes with staff when I drop him off to be boarded or being groomed. He has stayed at Golden Wood at least 10 times over the past 2 years. I know he is being well taken care of when he is there which makes it easier to leave him. Thank you

We have boarded our German Shepherd at Golden Wood multiple times with great success! Staff are friendly and courteous and facility is clean and well maintained. Most importantly, our dog is returned to us happy and healthy. For us, it checks all the boxes especially the "worry free" box while we travel. Highly recommend.

This facility has a lot to offer to pets! Their kennels have outdoor runs attached for 24/7 access to the outside as well as large fenced-in play yards for the dogs! Their cat room has multiple options like an indoor/outdoor condo or a window suite, depending on your preferences! They also offer grooming services as well as other extra services for your pets while they stay! Everything is kept very clean and tidy by the staff. I would definitely recommend Goldenwood!

We left our two dogs here for a weekend while we were out of state. They had a great time and we loved getting the picture of them and the little report on how they were doing! I really liked how clean and organized the place looked and felt comfortable about leaving our dogs there. The add-on options are so nice! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is... I specifically asked how much my final price will be with the add-ons etc. It was important to me to know exactly. And when I came to pick them up, the price was $60+ more than I had been told. A small difference would have been acceptable for varying prices but $60+ did not seem ok. To my understanding, there was no clear reason as to where the $60+ had come from or why I had been told so much less in the beginning. I was a bit unhappy about this. But I still would recommend this place to anyone as they took great care of our dogs!!

What a great place! Very clean and you can tell the staff really cares. They accept special needs pets; such as require meds or special diets. Goldenrod is located on a nice sized and good looking property. When they exercise the pets every day, it's like a walk in the park. Also, they don't just walk them. The staff actually plays with your pet. Their services include bathing and grooming. I would recommend Goldenwood to all.

Goldenwood does a top notch grooming job. They are very good about returning calls in a timely fashion, keeping one apprised of what needs to be done, when, and being kind to my dog, who loves to go in there. They have worked very hard on their business, and I continue to return. I'm pleased with boarding my dog there, as well.

My dogs stayed over the weekend in late May and we are extremely happy with the whole experience. My husband and I are very particular about where our dogs stay while we're on vacation and cannot say enough good things about our experience.When we dropped them off, we were greeted by their staff who were very professional and friendly. They answered all of our questions and were attentive to our dogs at the same time. I also noticed how clean everything was and did not have any hesitation leaving them in the caring hands of the staff.I love the extra services they offer like a peanut butter filled Kong to combat boredom and extra play time.Golden Wood has become our go-to for any of our future vacations.

Golden Wood Oxford is a really great addition to the community after Tri Crown closed and John and Polly retired. They have a beautiful landscape that the new staff has kept up. The entire facility was remodeled last year, and it looks amazing! It features runs that have both an inside and outside part, which is acceptable to the dogs 24/7 save for extreme weather conditions. They also have this option for cats, as well as picturesque window suites for those kittys that prefer to stay indoors.There are newly fenced-in areas for the dogs to play in as well. They also feature a variety of play and treat services for purchase to pamper your pet while you're away! It's a great place to leave your pet and know that they're well taken care of!

We've been very pleased with the quality of care at Golden Wood! Our "puppy" is 80+ pounds and gets very anxious in new situations. He can be a bit of a handful, but he's always clean and relaxed when we pick him up! Ashley, in particular, is wonderful with him and seems to truly enjoy being around him during his visits. I started using there kennel services when I had to be out of town over the last year. Never had a problem. They took great care of my pup. The problem I have had is with there grooming services. They always did a nice job. But over the course of approximately 6 months, I was cancelled out 3 times. and not just cancelled a day ahead, but within an hour of my appointment. 3rd time is a charm. I am taking my business elsewhere. I can understand a cancellation, but it was becoming all too frequent.
