We had the opportunity to eat at Capsize OXMD last night for the first time since the new steakhouse menu! If you have not been, you are missing out! Everything we had was incredible and cooked to perfection! Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere and A+ Entrees!We enjoyed the pork chop and 12oz filetAlong with a wedge salad and the best Macaroni and cheese we’ve ever had!

Good food and a good price, Service is a bit slow but the kids are working hard so please be patient with them. Food comes out slow as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice view of the water.

I got tacos that didn't mention cheese on the menu, but they had cheese on them when they came out. I had to send back because of the cheese (dairy allergy). Atmosphere was great, and the rest of the food was good. Service to get our check was a little slow. Went on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. I'd go again, though.Dietary restrictions: Dairy allergy they were able to accommodate.

The fried green tomatoes were delicious! Best thing we ordered. I was disappointed by my entree though, I had tacos. The meal was really small. I know other restaurants have overly large portions, but these were really small for the price and quality. There was a terrible passing storm that the staff had to juggle at the same time as our visit and they did a great job managing that and getting us our food without looking like they were flustered. The space was great! Beautiful view.

On a quiet rainy evening, restaurant was almost empty. Imagine a warm summer evening with lots of outdoor seating and lovely water views. Service prompt and friendly. Fried green tomatoes a must. Offers half portions on entrees. Brilliant idea avoids wasted food and overeating. Rockfish Imperial rivals its crab cousin. Shrimp/Chicken/Lobster Salad plentiful and tasty. Excellent value on tasty fried oysters in a healthy green salad and a seafood jambalaya worthy of mention. Good draft beers. Excellent bartending and a large friendly gathering of satisfied customers.

We ordered rockfish tacos and rockfish imperial. It was very good but there was hardly any crab imperial on the fish but was still good. My biggest complaint is we ordered fish and chips to go to bring home for my mother. When I opened it there were only two and really actually I would say one and a half pieces of fish and small pieces at that and enough fries for 4 people. For $17 I felt it was a rip off. Had I seen this before leaving restaurant I would have complained for sure. I mean any other place you go you get three good size pieces of fish. I would even pay $20 or so for more fish. I'm not sure I will go back there again.

Capsize has worked over last year to improve its service and the menu has been broadened and updated. Servers are all nice and make effort, but it still is a bit disorganized at times. They probably could use a real on-site manager, especially at busy times. Food has been good recently, except for mediocre fries (seemed pretty-maid and were luke warm). The one exception to nice servers is the woman bartender outside. She often has an attitude that takes away from the experience and seems on a power trip-just cold and aloof a lot. Most people here are customer-oriented though! We are glad Capsize is in town, and there always are things to work on at any establishment.

We had a party of 12 with a reservation. After being sat down before we got our drinks we were told all food orders were an hour behind. It took 45 minutes from after we sat down to have our food order taken and over an hour for the food to come out. We didn't get our food until after they closed. Every year there is a big event this weekend but they always seem so understaffed

Good, but not as much as our last visit. The view is wonderful overlooking the creek. The corn and crab chowder was lacking corn, and was more the consistency of soup. Tasted okay though. I had the fish and chips (fries). The breading was a bit thick and the fish had little texture, almost as if it was overcooked or possibly mushy. We'll be back another time to try again.

Went to a wedding reception of a friend. It was intimate and lay back atmosphere; the view of Ted Avon was lovely. The selection of small plate style dishes were delicious---the tuna with Avocado slices, the crab balls, the chicken and vegetable pasta, the bacon wrapped scallops, crab stuffed mushrooms and the fried green tomatoes on top of the bison sliders were exceptionally good 👍

Pretty setting, pretty awful dining experience. Fisherman's stew consisted of 4 oysters in a bath of no flavor cream. Baked oysters were fine.ussels OK but broth disappointing. Crab cake OK. Most disappointing were that fries were cold, inedible, obviously from frozen product. Given the misfires on starters we changed our orders to basic burgers and fried fish. These were good but not great. Wines except for house wines overpriced . Would not go back.

Calling an APB for the owner(s)! My parties meals took 1.5hrs to receive and that was after multiple items were not available. We had 6 in our party and only 3 of us received a meal. The meals that were provided were incomplete with missing sides.The wait staff, bartenders and bus boys were all great! Unfortunately the owners do not care about their staff and have left them high and dry.This restaurant has so much potential with the location and atmosphere.Save your hard earned money for another restaurant that will value their customers and staff.

To be honest for the neighborhood they cater to this place should be fantastic but sadly it is about as good as a sports bar. I was with my family and guests we had 12 people and I didn't want to make a scene but they food was not very good. The fish and chips was served with coated thin fries on a bed of some greens making the fish soggy and the batter was thick oily and had no flavor. I sent it back for a basic American cheese burger but it was not cooked correctly and had a burned greasy flavor. The appetizers we had crab dip and hush puppies were excellent and the service was great. Maybe next time.

We were offered indoor seating but were willing to wait the 45 minutes we were told it would be to sit outside for our party of 10. After an hour of watching multiple parties seated, we checked with the hostess and were told we had an assigned table we had to wait for and that tables could not be pushed together. We asked if we could then sit inside and were told they weren't doing that anymore. We had already purchased almost $100 in drinks while waiting. No one ever bother to check on us. The hostess (while I understand young) was rude. Interestingly enough once we got up to leave, they had a table. We still left. The customer service was terrible.

We've been here a few times and the food is consistently delicious. Prices are fair, service is good, and the outside dock/seating area is perfection. I've never seen a pet there, but they do seem to be pet friendly and have a separate pet menu. Also, their interior decor is recently updated and very stylishly done, so it would probably be a great place for a rehearsal dinner or post-wedding brunch for someone getting married at one of the local venues.

First of all, this is a beautiful restaurant and has so much potential. I was just so surprised at the lack of management at the front of the house. We were taken aback from our first confusing interaction with the young women at the hostess stand, to a waitress making derogatory remarks about a table from Jersey, to the snide send off we received as we left from one of the previously mentioned hostess pair. The front staff needs some training from a strong manager. One of the members in our party said he felt like he was in a beautiful restaurant run by teenagers. We saw several groups receive strange seating information at a restaurant with many open tables and some of those groups left. Our food was good, except not sure why components were left off our Cobb salads, but the sweet corn vinaigrette was awesome! We took several dining recommendations from a captain we chartered a boat from, and this was the only miss. I know you can do better. The food is good, the staff just needs some leadership and training.
