Please, if anyone uses this cat food. OUR cat passed away, and we can't use it. Petco manager said we can't return it and they don't have store credit. I have 4 bags, and they were $18. I'm asking for $50 total for all 4If of interest, please respond to this comment.

Picked up an online order, which the store was closed early after I received an email confirming my order was ready for pick up. I waited at the door for the last customer to be let out and the employee got my order to hand to me at the door. Thus, I did not get to check the order before leaving.Discovered that multiple items in my order were subpar. The bully sticks were deformed and one of the leashes was in torn packaging. Did not realize until I returned that leash to the store that not only was it used, but damaged. 😒I exchanged the leash, but why do I have to tell the employee that the price needed to be adjusted? How is it that employees do not know what an even exchange means? 🤨

I went to Petco with the intention of looking at the Glofish. When we arrived we were greeted by “ Jess.” She took the time to go over the different aquariums, and how much each one retailed, which were on sale, ect.She showed us where the Glofish tank was and told us to call her for any questions. Well, we ( myself & husband) were in love with the tetras and wanted to take them home! Jess was close by. She stopped what she was doing immediately and came to help! She explained which Tetras would live together peacefully and which would be aggressive to the others! We explained which tank we were going to purchase based on her description, and she explained how many fish would be recommended. We pointed out which fish we wanted, and she collected all 5! She explained which food would be best, the approved the decorations we chose, and a few other tank water care items! We felt like we were well educated and ready to become Tetra parents! We can’t thank Jess enough! We could really tell this was not just a job for her.. she really cared about our success and the well being of the fish!! We will make sure to come back to Petco for all our needs, and recommend to others, as well!! I would just like to add that everyone in the Owings Mill store was friendly and approachable! What a pleasant experience!!

I was waiting outside of the van unaware that I had to go inside to check in. Due to the text stated that I text a single number to check in. Which I did but the technician told me to go inside the store to check in. Upon doing so, the lady stated that since I was late I couldn't be seen. Even though the tech was talking to another person while I was standing outside of the van. So I had to reschedule for something that was not my fault. The other Petco location that I used to go to didn't give me this kind of problem. Service was always great from the cashiers to the groomers to Vetco.

Cashier's never at the front. Almost always in the back. And even on the rare occasion they are in front, they will ignore certain people. Not once have I felt welcomed or greeted. Almost always have to wait a while for the cashier to give a darn to help me check out. Last time I went(the last time I return) the cashier suddenly had the urge to converse with a customer(I'm guessing it was her friend). Mind you there was two people including myself waiting to check out. She didn't even recognize or acknowledge that we were there waiting. Guy behind me got pissed so stormed off. Rightfully so. I waited a little longer than left. Horrible service. Surprised this place is still there tbh. People seem to rarely go. At least PetSmart is not too far from there. Way better customer service there. I recommend going there instead if you're in the Owings Mills area.

Great shopping experience. Everything is easy to find and clearly labeled for pet parents in need of essentials. Aisles were well stocked, and pets in the store with their parents were well behaved. There were lots of supplies available in case one of the pets had an oopsie while shopping.There seemed to a never-ending aisle of food choices for canines, felines, reptiles, amphibians, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, and almost any kind of pet imaginable!OTC medications, clothing itemsThe cashier was a little rude and impatient, not to mention he was lacking basic knowledge about services provided by Petco. Even if he didn't know the prices off the top of his head (because that can be alot of information, and to be honest I wouldnt expect him to know the price of every service offered on demand), as an employee tasked with helping customers he should know basic information like services offered. After surmising that he didn't know the answer to my question, I simply requested an informative brochure in an effort to obtain the information sought. However, he did not give me the brochure containing information that was needed. I asked for the brochure related to veterinary services available at Petco, but instead he gave me a brochure with general information about caring for a pet and their needs (feeding, training, toys, grooming, etc. that are available). While all of this is great information to have...it is neither what I needed nor requested. Unfortunately, the information isn't available on the website either 🙁. Overall, my visit to this location was a pleasant one, and I am likely to return in the future!

Decent prices cheaper than competitors...terrible customer service...I placed an order online to save time for 1 bag of dog food . I was on my way home from work so it took me about 35 mins to get to the store . When I arrived to the store I approached the counter and asked where I needed to go for online orders and the lady at the register took my order number and explained it wasn't ready yet. I asked her why they promote online ordering if it's just as fast if not faster to just come in and get it off the shelf yourself to which she could not give an answer. Just then a gentleman interjected into our conversation asking the employee what was wrong. I began to tell him the situation and he told me he was the one pulling the order and he has an hour to get it ready and he has other things to do than just pull my dogfood. I found this to be incredibly rude as it is not my issue as a paying customer what his job entails. He then told me there's a process to online ordering and that's how it is . Again something I as a customer did not need to hear. This negative interaction and argumentive behavior from this associate has caused me to take my business elsewhere. We all have a choice where to spend our money and I for one refuse to spend my money where it is not appreciated.

Worst customer service ever, I went to shop there and I asked someone that works there if they had a bathroom, he told me no. Then at the cash register he was completely rude with an attitude with me. A guy with long blonde hair, kind of short, be aware of that attitude Petco or get diversity training because he act like he was discriminating me because I’m black!

Customer service in the Aquatic section is horrible. I went to Petco to buy some small goldfish feeders. When I arrived I went to the Aquatic area to check if they had any. After checking I waited for about 5 minutes for someone to come and help me. No one showed up. I preceded to the register area and asked for help. The young lady said she would call for someone to come and help. I went back to the Aquatic area and waited another 5 minutes for someone to come and assist me, still no one showed up. I saw a young man working in an isle across the store so, I asked if he could call someone to assist me. This time I heard the intercom asking for help in the aquatics. Well, another 5 minutes pass and still no one. At this point I want to leave, but Pet smart was all out of feeders therefore, I had to wait. I headed towards the register again and the young lady I asked to call was coming to finally help me. It took 20 minutes before I was even acknowledged. To add insult to injury, the feeders at petco are twice as much as they are at pet smart. Not a good experience at all.

My friend was getting a new puppy so we went to get all the essentials! Crate, bed, food, toys etc! Also got a lot of info on puppy training classes from a very helpful staff member.

The store is too far away from where I live. I live in woodlawn off windsormill road your closed the petco store at plaza for what ever reason bring it back with someone that can run it. It's not fair to drive that for for my dog food and cat food.

I had a bad algae outbreak in one of my fish tanks. I was able to come here and find the items I needed to take care of it. I always love to look at the different animals they have available for sale. Very pleasant customer service

I took my dog to get groomed and they did a fantastic job. However, it did take a while to get an appointment. The time is it I’ve been in the store. People have been very nice. And my dog completely loves the store. I think you’ll be happy that’s why I gave it five stars, Erin groomed, my dog and she did very well. And the people in the store are always eager to help you. That’s my Petco!

This is a standard Petco. The dog grooming area is right beside the main entrance so you're hit with the smell of dog almost immediately (if that matters). Can't knock them for this as its a Petco lol

I have no complains about the store or the staff. My one warning is make sure to check the expiration dates! I picked up a kibble order on August 12, 2023 and noticed my dog started to be ill once we started feeding him the new bag. I checked the expiration date and the bag had expired in March 2023. It's a lesson learned on my part to double check everything! It's just a little disappointing they stock the shelves with months old products.

This is usually a pretty neutral experience. Not great but not bad. I love to see the cute animals. The fish selection is okay, and I love all of the fish tank accessories. I’ve never had an issue here. I wish they had more of a selection of bunnies. They’re so cute. They do have chinchillas, and ferrets, but I don’t think I’ve seen a bunny. The lizards are adorable. It’s fun.

I buy most supplies for my cat here. They have cat harnesses, cat toothpaste/brush, and cat Halloween costumes. They also had annual pet Halloween contests before COVID. My kitty placed in 2 of these competitions. This location had more animals before COVID, including cats, birds, and ferrets. I used to bring my kitty here to look at them.The store carries both cheap and expensive brands of pet food. Employees are knowledgeable about animals and inventory, and are always willing to help.

Decent store, one employee is incredible to deal with, she's so friendly and gives my pup a treat at the cash every time we see her.Unfortunately the grooming department is not great. They traumatized my dog during a nail trim - I was told 3 people had to hold down my 7 month old, 35lb puppy. For context, I used to do his nails with one person cutting and the other holding peanut butter.They wrestled him and forced him. His nails were done in about 5 minutes; no patience, no time for my dog to decompress and take a breath.No blame to the employees, they don't know any better. Petco grooming training has failed them and they unfortunately created a fear in my otherwise incredibly confident and happy puppy. Some dogs do need to be held to get through things like grooming. But not a puppy.Unless your dog is a seasoned pro at grooming and they'll stand like a statue for the entire duration, I do not recommend subjecting them to this environment.I feel terrible for my pup, and have a lot of work in front of me to make nail trimmings comfortable for him again.

Staff member who I spoke with was absolutely horrible. Zero knowledge regarding products and zero effort to help. I will not go there again.To end this on a good note, all I have to say is how thankful I am that I can order online and never have to step foot in that store again!Step your game up, PETCO!#horribleservice
