I rarely give reviews but this boarding facility is worthy. After a very negative experience at another facility I was fun shy about boarding my crew. I have 4 dogs. Two very rambunctious working line German Shepherds and two senior dogs. I called Deer Park and explained my situation and they allowed me to do a trial day to see how the dogs behaved and how the staff felt about my crew. Everything went well on the trial day so I boarded them for 4 days. I called a few times to check on them- and I could tell by the responses I got that they were indeed actually documenting and checking on them. When I picked the pups up they were just as happy and excited as can be. I highly recommend this kennel!

We absolutely LOVE DPK. As soon as our dog, Jasmine, figures out where she's headed, she gets very happy. The staff all know her by name and personality and they're very patient with her high high energy. They even call with updates, but only when needed or especially asked for. Can not recommend this kennel highly enough.

I can only say good things about this Kennel. First and foremost my dogs loves this place. It will definitely be her home away from home. She shows no loyalty to me when picking her up. I think she likes white people better than I and no disrespect to my black 🖤 folks. I have never been more satisfied and grateful to have located this place which is only 10 minutes away. Thanks to the folks that referred me because the former kennels I visited were not to my satisfaction.🤓

This was my dogs first time being boarded at a facility while I went away on vacation. The staff at Deer Park Kennels made her feel at ease even though she was really nervous. They even gave her special one on one attention to make her feel more comfortable. They are great and I would definitely use them again.

I witnessed with my own eyes the return of my niece's dog Gus from his stay at this kennel. When he left, he was a beautiful, healthy, happy, specimen of a Dalmatian puppy. Upon his return, when he met me at my car as I returned from work, I was shocked! He had lost 11 pounds, his coat was dull, and his disposition very much changed from when I saw him last. This is abuse and neglect and these kennels should be closed or at the very least, prosecuted. My niece and her friends reached out to the owners/staff of the kennel on a regular basis to check up on Gus. They were told, every time, "he's fine". He was NOT fine. He was being starved. He is currently vomiting daily as my niece tries to feed him and nurse him back to health. It breaks my heart to see this changed Gus. I am praying for a full recovery for Gus and praying my niece will find relief from the guilt she feels for leaving her beloved Gus at Deer Park Kennels. No one should have to go through this when entrusting their pets care to a supposedly reputable Kennel.

I have utilized Deer Park Kennels to board my 2 year old pure breed Akita, Kuma. The staff are always polite and accommodating for my fur bear. The staff are patient and experienced in managing my Kuma as he has the true aloof temperament of the breed. The facilities are clean and spacious. Your fur baby will be safe with this kennel.

My husband and I have two small dogs and we’ve been boarding them at Deer Park Kennels since we moved to MD (6 years). I remember taking a tour before we boarded them the first time and the staff was very friendly, helpful, and answered all my questions. I was also able to see some of the workers interacting with the dogs and they all seemed genuinely happy to be there, and the dogs seemed happy too! This is the only place we take our dogs when we travel. One of our pups is quite anxious in nature, but she has always trotted right back with the workers. Neither dog ever seems scared or uncomfortable to go with them. Everyone who has helped me schedule their stays is always very friendly. They keep great notes on the dogs, too. Our pups are always happy to see us when we pick them up, but I can also tell they liked where they were. They always seem well cared for and attended to. We used to live in Owings Mills, but now live in Lutherville and still took them to Deer Park because we know they feel very comfortable there. HIGHLY recommend this place!!

This place is GREAT. Yes, typed in all-caps because they truly are. I trust literally no other kennel with my dog. Every single staff member is pleasant and professional to deal with and they are attentive to my dog. It's hard to find a place that you trust with your dog. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. Taking a trip can be done with peace of mind because I know my pooch is in great hands. The prices are reasonable as well.

Deer Park Kennels is awesome. Everyone is very nice and passionate about what they do. Our dog is always excited to go on "vacation" and she comes home just as happy. Our dog Guinness has been to Deer Park a few times a year for 9 years. Great staff, they are always happy to see him and we love that all the dogs have their own space to run and can bring bedding and toys. Walks and plays and grooming can all be added on.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Deer Park Kennels for at least 15+ years. The staff is consistent and they care. My dogs have always had a good stay. I’d recommend them for your dogs next staycation.

My dog knows he's loved here. They do an exceptional job with taking the care and health of your pup seriously. Notified me and took my boy to the vet for an emergency while I was out of the state. Even called to ask how he was a few weeks later!! Very helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone who loves their furry family.

My dog really seemed to enjoy it here! Kennel seemed clean and my dog returned with no issues. Front desk staff seems kind and laid-back. I like the fact that you can add on playtime and other treats to make the experience even more fun for your dog.

I rarely post reviews online. As a passionate owner of two dogs, who we consider to be treasured members of our family, I feel strongly that this is the perfect time. We have boarded our dogs at Deer Park for the last several years. Both of our dogs, a 10 lb. female Dachshund/Terrier mix and a 90+ lb. male chocolate lab, just came back from a 10-day stay at Deer Park in the same kennel run and we could not be happier. The staff at Deer Park are exceptional and professional. From the moment we walked in, we were moved through the check-in process with ease and confidence even though it was a busy check-in time. Updated vet records were checked to make sure they had received their required vaccinations. (And BTW, Deer Park called me several weeks in advance of our scheduled boarding to remind me that our dogs were in need of a vaccination prior to boarding. LOVE that they did that as I had lost track of time and did not realize that updated vaccinations were needed. Had they NOT done that, I would have showed up and had a serious issue. With the airport departure schedule right after doggie drop-off, we would have been screwed.) Feeding schedule was verified. Toys and bedding were checked in. Side-note: I am a WEE bit of a neurotic pet family member owner and as such, had several additional questions for the staff during the check-in process. They answered them thoroughly and eased my mind immediately. I called several times while we were away on vacation to verify that both dogs were doing well and they were wonderful with each one of my calls (again, I am a WEE bit of a crazy dog owner... seriously...I cried during drop-off). Our smaller dog was walked each day and our larger, younger dog was played with twice a day with his favorite ball. All toys came back to us clean in a cute bag along with their bedding and leftover food. When we picked them up today, both dogs bounded out of the enclosed area happy and healthy. The handler seemed to know them well and even commented as such as he managed our larger dog's excitement.Thank you to Deer Park for your dedication in taking such great care of our pet family members in our absence. Truly enabled me (especially!!!) to thoroughly enjoy my family vacation knowing that they were well taken care of while we were out of town. Even the kids commented that they were able to relax more on vacation knowing that their doggies were doing great back home. Peace of mind!!! Much appreciated. :)

They are the absolute best here. Shadow always comes back incredibly happy and they knew me after the first visit (though this could be because they knew Shadow as “the crazy dog” 😂🤣😂). Price wise they seem very competitive as well, always a great plus when you get great service at a great price.We’ve also had the groomers do Shadow’s nails here before. The ability to just stop in without an appointment on a Saturday before our hike is really great. We haven’t done any of the other grooming services but will be doing that soon.

Dog runs are great! Staff takes excellent care of our beagles and our dogs come home happy. Price is more affordable than most. Groomer does a fantastic job! Definitely worth the 25 minute drive!

Bit of a hike to get to but that lends to the beautiful scenery & loads of space. Excellent service, very reasonable pricing, variety of service options and GREAT people is what makes Deer Park 5 star worthy. My Bully loved it there! It was the 1st time she has EVER hesitated to leave from somewhere to come home; usually, she beats us to the car. We will definitely be using Deer Park more frequently.

They kept my large scary looking but very sweet and loving cane corso. Her first time away and everything went great. Easy to work with and well maintained property. Look out for the “guests” that greet you enthusiastically as you enter 😊

I have boarded my pup Niko there in the past. Outside of sore paw pads I have been more satisfied with his care. I have even recommended to my vet that they be included on her list of kennels. Niko is very large at 160 lbs+ and the staff has assured me that they can address this with paw protection. He is actually going there today for a week and I have the utmost confidence that he will receive the best care. I will update when we return for those who still have concerns.

My family has been bringing our shepherd here for 1 week out of every year. They have always taken good care of our dogs. They are loving and caring for the animals they watch over and the facilities are great for dogs to run back and forth. I would continue to use them and I do recommend them.

Our daughter boards her dog there when traveling the results have been good. We boarded our King Charles Spaniel for two weeks. Our Spaniel is wonderful. But he requires medications when prescribed. He came home, well walked, properly medicated and happy.I commend Deer Park for it's care of dogs.

generally we have been very pleased with this kennel. However, one aspect continues to nag at me, and that is their billing policies. We dropped our dogs off on Monday afternoon and picked them up Friday afternoon - and were charged for 5 full days although they were only there four night and four full days. Also they have raised their prices to $30 a day, so for my two very small dogs that amounts to $300 (before two dog discount) for four days. Perhaps this industry custom, but it rubs me the wrong way and deters me from using them more often.

The excellent staff is extremely attentive to your doggies needs.Our 15-year-old terrier mix who had never been kenneled before came home in excellent spirits. I highly recommend Deer Park.

I just picked up our pup, Axel (5 1/2 month old Malinois mix) and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We went in for a tour and loved the indoor/outdoor runs. We were concerned because the larger kennels had pebbles and was quickly assured Axel could be housed in the medium kennels that had concrete (as he’s a puppy and eats everything). He stayed for 6 days, we called half way through his stay to check in and the staff was extremely attentive and assured us he was doing awesome. When we picked him up, he was happy, looked good, and his blanket and toy was bagged and ready to go! He seemed to love the staff (literally almost dragging him to go home haha) which made me extremely happy, and less guilty (‘puppy mom guilt’ lol). The price, attentiveness, and quality of care/kennels can’t be beat! Loved our first stay here and will certainly be back! Staff, grounds and kennels are PHENOMENAL!!!
