Great selection and bulk deals at Costco Owings Mills!They have a fantastic selection of everything you could need, from groceries and electronics to clothes and home goods.The bulk deals are unbeatable, especially for things like paper products, cleaning supplies, and pantry staples. Today (4/29/24) I shopped at the Owings Mills, MD Costco store. As I was leaving there was a concern about loading my car. I asked Costco staff member MR. AHMED for some advice. He immediately offered to assist me with the placement of items in my car. I wanted to thank, and acknowledge, AHMED for his kindness and help ! He is a true gentleman who is worthy of recognition! Recent relocation of self-checkout has to be the dumbest business decision I've seen in a long time. While yes the lines were long for it, there is now no space for a line in the new section without holding hands with regular checkout lines. The added bonus of the original self-checkout location was it'd put you right in front of the fast food area, that most likely increased sales. Not as many people are going to fight against the tide of people leaving to now go-to the fast food.Inconsistent stocking, you can go in for one item and attempt to get it a week later again and it's not there. Things on the website that say they're available in store are not actually.Overall space usage of the store seems wasteful. A majority of the center section of the store doesn't seem very frequented, other than using it as a "shortcut".TLDR Get a Sams Membership and drive a little further to an actual nice bulk store and at a fraction of the cost for the membership.

I am a long-time member of Costco and shop this location multiple times per week. The Owings Mills location has gone down considerably. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get the food court on the phone…and if they do answer they pick up and hang up…when I call the service desk they tell me there is nothing they can do to assist me. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone.The self-checkout harassment is another huge issue. Forcing members to show proof of membership THREE times during their visit but paid employees can’t even be bothered to answer the phone is mind blowing. Plain and simple: if this location wants to retain members or increase membership numbers, they need to improve their management skills and customer service yesterday.

The guys in here at this tire center were awesome for such a small group. They were very busy the day I came in (walk-in) with a blown tire. I had just got the tires put on my vehicle just under 2 months ago. I was unable to get the car there but brought them the wheel/tire. They were able to get me a new replacement tire as a part of the warranty and in and out in about an hour and a half. They were awesome to deal with. Thanks guys!

They don’t train entrance employees how to talk nicely with customers. The women in checking costco membership card almost bite me instead of talking to me . Im sorry for managers who hiring aggressive people infront door.

This was my first experience as a member and it did not disappoint. The store was massive, the free samples were endless, and the savings were great. The location is safe and there are a ton of things to do around it.

We have been been to several other Costco‘s and we really like the one in Middle River. However , this location is unlike other Costco’s. The clientele is rude and although the store is big there is surprisingly a way smaller selection than Costco’s not nearly as big. And because of all of this I will give this Costco a 2 star due to my negative experience.

Went for a tire change, was helped by a guy named Kevontea. Super easy experience, one of the best customer services I’ve been given. This man deserves a raise. Kevontea in the tires department is the man. Definitely worth the membership

I Ordered tires at Owings Mills Costco. I was emailed that they were in stock. I payed for them. I made an appointment for installation. I called 2 days prior to ensure that they were actually there. I was assured that they were. I showed up at the reserved appointment time and date to get them installed. I was then told that they didn't have the tires! I deal with the Frederick, MD. Costco and that NEVER happens there.

Overall, this Costco is very good. Clean aisles, well-stocked, good prices. Things keeping it from 5-stars: food court is usually under-staffed with long waits for orders, they regularly block the walkway at the side of the building near the tire center with new cars for sale and impede pedestrian traffic, and the warehouse becomes an absolute madhouse on weekends and holidays from being way overcrowded with checkout lines more than halfway back through the store (which also impedes shopping). At least it's a little better than Frederick's overcrowding situation.

We are new members at the Owings Mills location. Pros: great selection of goods, comparable prices to other warehouse options.Major CON: the lines at the checkouts are outrageous. Also not well set up in order for you to shop. You can be done with your shopping in 10 minutes but have to wait 20 or more minutes to check out. A major competitor (Sam's Club) has a "Scan n Go" app. Pretty self explanatory. Scan your products as you put in cart. Your payment method is in the app. Hit check out, swipe to pay and boom. You get a QR code which is scanned at the door by a CSR and away you go. A company as large and profitable as COstco should have this as well. Thanks.

We were told it would take 1-3 days for our tires to arrive. After one week, I started calling and could never get anyone to answer. I called again and asked for administration. Admin answered and passed me to the tire center which was useless. We drove to Costco Owings Mills and waited in a long line to learn the tires had been there for days. We made an appointment to install and were told 1 hour 45 min - they are taking walk ins instead of appointments. Still waiting. I don’t think this group could manage their way out of a paper bag. Never again.

Great Costco but relatively on the smaller side compared to other Costco. Also sometimes you see old stocks in the fruit/veggie and the dairy area. Just be mindful of the dates of each product.

The line to the register is just ridiculous.Not only is it a long wait, the messy arrangement and the fact that the line is 10s of people long makes it difficult to move through some areas of the store to get to isles.Also, just compared prices against the other warehouse and almost all the items I tend to buy regularly are higher here these days.

No zucchini bread had to get banana bread. Of course, baked chicken, salad packs, rolls, and bread. Mini cucumbers,bananas almost got everything I wanted.

I waited 30 minutes at the membership booth to get a replacement membership card ...There were only 3 employees there for merchandise return and membership..They are very short staffed and I asked a Costco employee to get more employees there, he said it is week end , just wait. Then I gave up and left.This store also needs their employees get more training in customer service..I will just stick with Sam's and not get this Costco membership renewed

My favorite costco store. They have a large selection of kosher products, including chicken, deli, cheese, fish, and frozen pizza and chicken nuggets. They carry seasonal items such as matzah as well. The store is clean and large. The checkout lines are long sometimes, but that's because a lot of people don't understand how the lines work. Good luck finding someone to help you on the floor, too. Not usually any workers around except for by the checkout lines.

I prefer going to this Costco than the one closer to me. This location even when it's full the lines move so fast you don't have time to be annoyed. I hate lines. The best thing too is 3 pumps at the Costco gas station 👍🏾it moves faster too and hardly any buildup of traffick.

Great addition to Owings Mills.. I usually go in once a week to buy an entire Rotisserie chicken for only $4.99. I also like the fresh fruit you can get year long like mangoes and watermelons.

A week before my last visit it was the fifth time that there was no empty box available at the exit for transport my groceries. I know that the store is not obliged to offer the boxes but the topic of this review is the lack of respect I was treated by an employee in this store.Yesterday I went to do my shopping again and picked up an empty box inside the store and an employee said in a very rude way that there were boxes available near the store's exit door, I apologized and put the empty box away. back in place and when I went through the checkout there was no box to transport my groceries.I didn't see any warning saying that I can't take the empty box to put my groceries in and the way I was treated made me rethink renewing my card again.

They ask instacart shoppers to take two carts incase you have two orders even if one of them or both are small ones which is so stupid decision l dont know who took this smart(insane) decision.Also they keep moving goods so keep looking even if you are familiar with the store.They open one or two lines so you take longer time instead of opening more lines like other costco stores do in columbia and glen burnie for example.

The tire center at this location is ridiculous. A couple days ago, I had both my original and spare tire go flat and called costco in advance to ask if I could tow my car there and have it worked on to which they said yes. I was not expecting my car to be worked on immediately as I was a walk in, but I wasted my entire afternoon waiting for them to even start on my car.After they finally begun working on it four hours later, I was told that they had one tire left in stock to fix my car which I agreed to buy immediately, to receive a second call about 20 mins later saying that they dont have anymore tires to fix my car and I needed to order a new one (which would take at least 2-7 days to come in) and still sent me home with a flat tire after they only put air in my spare tire which I could’ve done myself. I was lied to and wasted my time and money paying for a tow truck when I double checked whether they would have the time to fix a tire that would take 30 mins. Additionally the guy that was supposed to be helping me was extremely disrespectful and rude (Kevontae). I ended up paying to order one in advance considering every other tire shop was closed at that point, and still have not been told a specific day when the tire would come in. I work two jobs and cannot afford my time being wasted. Do yourself a favor and do not give these people your business.

A great shopping experience! A great selection and great prices. Most offers are offered in bulk but not all, and many of the bulk offers are manageable for a family or secondary freezer. The rotisserie chicken is a must as are the hot dog and Pepsi special, and the whole pizza!!! Parking at Owings Mills, Md is unpressured but Frederick Md is crazy, just crazy as is the entire store. Cashiers at Frederick are NOT friendly overall, but Owings Mills are efficient and fast. The slender pizza lady at Owings Mills is amazing!!! Super fast!!! The gasoline is always attractively priced and makes me stop in the store to browse. I wish the gas attendants would wave the next in line forward... That would lessen the wait time. I always spend much more than budgeted but the Executive Membership is as MUST with the benefits you get. Overall, A great store and shopping experience!!!

Now this is the newest Costco in the area (May 2019) so not that busy, yet. The parking may become an issue once the stores near it open, and their are not many places to put your cart. Lots of samples, a decent selection of kosher and halal goods. The food court has a dedicated food kiosk for ordering.
