This store is amazing. The staff is a group of wonderful, positive and very sweet people. They’re like a family and they make customers feel like family. After hearing that the store would be closed, I was devastated. After finding out more details, they’re closing because the rent for the property went up and they were judged on the sales for the last 6 months. This is Ocean City and to be recorded for low sales during slow season is unfair and wrong. Corporate is making a horrible, stupid decision. I’m very disappointed.

This is our second pet from Petco West Ocean City Md. We just visited the West Ocean City Md. store for dog food. My family And I looked at the bird section, and feel in Love with a bird named Bonnie. She is just as pleasant as her name. We asked a salesperson named Will who was Amazing answered all our questions and more. We couldn't be happier and what a pleasure it is to do business with Petco. thank you to your sweet pets and wonderful staff. Cameron was wonderful as well.Keep up the good work.

Since “Corporate” is closing “my” Ocean City, MD store, I’ll never spend$ at PetCo. I’m appalled, sad, angry. This is a resort area; avg is 8 MILLION tourists in the summer. The OC store is swamped w/customers each summer. I’ve notified other loyal customers on FB pages & will continue. Please reconsider!

So I never leave reviews but I definitely had to this time! I’ve decided to get myself a fish. With little to no knowledge about what I’m getting myself into I went to petco and Paula was there… she was God sent, helped me with everything I’ll need for my tank, explained how to set everything up before I get fish. Such a devoted worker and great person. I had issues later with one of my fishes and she was there to again explain me what is going on and help me find a solution. From now on she’s gonna be my go to person at this store. Thank you Paula for everything ❤️

Absolutely pissed this store is closing. Petco is showing their corporate greed. There is a reason this store has a 4.5 star rating. This store has the best staff. Petco is making a horrible decision.

Always a pleasant experience here! Loki is always looking good after his fresh cut. We think the world of our groomer Carol and the rest of the staff here. Dealing with our nosey puppy can’t be easy, but they are patient and kind every time.

Smells awful when you walk in. Poor animals/reptiles had FILTHY water bowls! One had algae bloom.. I'm so disgusted and think they should be shut down. The animals deserve better!

We are always greeted so warmly when we come to this store, you can tell that they all love what they do! Ms. Carol, my dog’s groomer is so patient and kind with my super high energy dog. Becca, Paul and Glenda are very helpful and treat Apollo like he is a celebrity and are always willing to help with training and product suggestions.

Waited with my lil'Ginger to get her nails clipped; I was questioned about her rabies vaccination I told them during the summer she had her 3yr shot...but he refused to believe me...just so happened to be the day they were having the Vax van there. I have never been questioned about rabies to get nails done? I don't want to believe he was scared of her, because the customer in front of me allowed her son to play when she noticed how well behaved she was. If any of the 5 other workers had mentioned it I would have called the vet. Bit when we called the store no one mentioned any such un-posted policy.

Great place and great people! What great service we get with lots of smiles and knowledge. They have helped me from when I first got our puppy to the freezer bones he needed. Every toy they told me he loved and did well with. Omar just loves to go in there to love on Paula. She has the best treats Ever! Becca does know her toys and what holds up. Chloe cuts his nails and he does well with her. She listens to our needs and does what I ask thank you!

Wonderful grooming experience! Carol was excellent with our dog during his first visit there. You can tell she truly loves animals and we were 100% comfortable leaving our dog in her care. She also did an amazing grooming job and he looks and smell great!

I take my dog to Petco in West Ocean City to get her nails trimmed. I wasn't happy at all with the 40 percent price hike but Carol is so good with my dog that I will keep going to Petco as long as she's there. Bob is good with my dog too. The people out front are always nice.

Didn't realize we got to the store two minutes to closing time, had to get a new dog tag. Staffers Will and Cameron couldn't have been more helpful and awesome! And never indicated that the store was closed until Will escorted me to the door so he could unlock it! Talk about going above and beyond politeness! I feel bad that they had to stay longer because of us!

My wife and I love going here for our two dogs! Our Pomeranian requires regular grooming and her groomer, Carol, is the best. The staff (shout-out to Will!) is very professional, attentive and friendly, and their manager, Paula, is super. I strongly recommend West Ocean City Petco for all your fur babies' needs!

I decided I wanted to have a fish tank. I haven't had a tank in 20 years and I walked into the store in Ocean City, MD full of questions. I saw the guy in the fish area was busy with a customer and a new load of fish. He introduced himself as Randy and asked if I needed help, I told him yes I did but I could wait until he was finished helping his customer. I asked him a bunch of questions about filters, heaters and the nitrogen cycle. He had every answer. I ended up buying a tank Petco just started stocking. I bought a 14 gallon Aqueon frameless cube aquarium, Aqua Clear 30 filter and some gravel. I absolutely love it!! Randy pointed me in the right direction, very knowledgable!!

Danielle and Chloe are wonderful! They always do a great job with both Max and Roxy. We just started grooming ( I used to bath them myself). This was our 2nd groom and we will be back. Both ladies are an asset to your company!

Very clean, helpful, and a huge selection of animals and pet products. Their fish tanks are maintained very well, and all the fish look healthy, which is hard to do. You can tell they spend a lot of time with the pets here, too. One of the birds knew the trick 'wave' and knew it when I tried it with him. Super cute!

One word CAROL!!!!! I USE Petco for the dog grooming. Carol is so sweet, caring and gentle. She really cares for each pet as if they are her own. She consistently does a magnificent job!! Also the staff can help with any problem or question! Highly recommended!!!

This is a great pet store with a variety of different foods and toys. A bit on the pricey side. You can tell the employees do well to maintain the animals here. Cats from the Humane Society available to be viewed and visited giving them a nice break from shelter life. Also have dog obedience classes and a groomer. My favorite pet store in the area.

Took our baby for training and after the 2nd class she became sick. She developed diarrhea and has been on medication for almost 2 weeks. She had no problems prior to the training where the dogs are encouraged to wander and lick the floor and gate where other dogs have been and have done the same as well as have accidents in the same area. We were told just to let her wander and not to interfere. I don’t recommend them for training- we wasted our money, couldn’t finish the classes and had vet and medication costs.
