These guys were great! If you’re looking for a plug and play pontoon this is your stop. We had an incident on the water too - dog got a hook through his nose. We pulled in midday and the guys helped us clip and remove it. We’d definitely come back and thank you! Form all of us and Rocket the dog.

We rented a 90 hp pontoon here for a day. It was easy to reserve in advance and they checked us into our boat quickly. The pontoon was clean, fast, and fun. The staff was very helpful and kind to our family. Their price was fair to others in the area and they had plenty of parking right at the marina. I would absolutely rent here again.

We were out on the water tubing with our boys I hit a decent size wake and jolted the boat pretty good. It instantly stalled out. After trying to figure out what it was 2 gentlemen stopped and asked if they could help. Within seconds they found the wire that popped off. My boat started right up and on our way tubing some more. They were very polite and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Fun trip! The kid that got us ready with the boat explained everything very well and he was very polite.. on our way back in to dock the boat, the kids that came out gave no direction where to come in at. As we were asking them, they chose to point and not use words as they were pointing, not giving great direction. When talking to these kids they don’t know how to talk with people the only responses we got were “yeah”… need better people persons working there!

I'm always perplexed when I read reviews and wonder if competitors sometimes go on and intentionally write negative reviews. I have rented from Bill's 3 times in years past and have always found their service to be excellent from the folks in the shed where you get your keys, to the guys on the dock showing you your boat and going over it and inspecting it with you before you go out, including inspecting the prop with you. The guys at the gas pumps are always friendly as well. And the return is quick and easy and I have never had them keep my deposit. We are renting again this year and expect we'll have the same experience.

We have rented a boat from Bill's for the past 15 years or so. Customer service is always excellent. This year we had some engine trouble but we were able to make it back to the boat docks. Clay switched us in to another boat within minutes and we lost no time on the lake. Courteous, professional, and personable, Clay treats customers as if he owns the company. Employees like Clay make customers happy, which results in repeat business !!!

My family rented a pontoon boat this weekend from Bill's Marine Services. I was so impressed with the quality of the brand new boats they have! The boat ran well and the kids loved the raft ride! Everything was top quality.....the staff were very efficient and safety minded. I felt we were in the best hands with Bill's Marine. We had an awesome day we will never forget!

We rented a boat from Bill’s for a last minute family adventure. Today’s rental was our fourth time renting. Every experience has been great, but today, the young man helping us made an impression on our family. My husband and I had our sons (7 and 5) with us, one was afraid walking on the docks and the other was super excited to go out on a boat for the day. I’m pretty sure the gentleman's name was Clay. He talked to them, asked them questions, helped us with our belongings so we could help them on the dock. When we returned, same thing - he asked us about our day and what we got into, he spoke directly to my kids about their adventure and was so kind and helpful. We’ve always rented from Bills because we’ve heard stories about the competitors overcharging and placing blame for things to make extra money when boats were returned. I can say that we have never experienced that at Bills and the service and genuine kindness - especially today, has always been amazing. Thank you for an amazing day. Clay is a wonderful young man and you should be proud to have him as an employee.

We are very happy with everyone at Bill’s Marina. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and just an all around awesome business to deal with. We bought our first boat from Seth which was a great experience. He was patient with our questions and was great with communication. His support didn’t stop after the boat sale either! When we decide to buy another boat (upgrade) we will be going to Bill’s & calling on Seth.Their service department is second to none! Dino knows his stuff and takes care of us!

I would never use this service. Myself and 7 of my friends rented a pontoon boat from Bill’s this Saturday, June 26th. Immediately after leaving the dock about 300 yards out we started taking on water and the boat immediately started nose diving. Thankfully we cut the engine and called them. It took them 20 minutes to come get us ( we were only 1 minute away) They sent two young gentleman out in a different pontoon to switch us over to that. Unfortunately after experiencing that at 9:30am put a damper on the day. When we returned the second pontoon, the woman at the front desk was non apologetic, still charged us the full amount and could have cared less what we went through. Unless this is your last option I can personally say I will never use them again. The 8 of us are grateful to be alive and all said we were very grateful our children weren’t with us.

Bill’s Marine Service was an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. From experience, DO NOT rent from here. They will find a way to take your security deposit no matter what. We did a simple 4 hour reservation, did not dock or go anywhere near shore. When we came back there was a small chip on the paint of the propeller (which was most likely there already) and they accused us of docking. We asked to take the prop with us because it was clearly repainted and had been damaged before.Save yourself the trouble, pay a little extra if you have to, and avoid this place.

We rented two pontoon boats and two rafts yesterday for our family, extended family and friends. Our experience with Bill’s Marina was fantastic! They were friendly, accommodating, and experienced all the way down to the gas filling stations. We rent here every year we come to Deep Creek and won’t go anywhere else! Looking forward to seeing them again and again.

We were very happy with our experience with Bill's. We decided to rent a boat for our stay at DCL a few days before our vacation began. I was able to rent a speed boat at a reasonable cost with no hassle. Pick up and turn in were fast. All employees were very polite and helpful. We have rented from Bill's for many years. The boats seemed to be in better condition than past years. We will continue to use Bill's.

The other negative reviews were spot on with them clamming that their deposit was taken due to "propeller damage" we rented one with our friends and sure enough they clammed that there was damage to the propeller. They had no pre rental check list and the propeller was not seen by anyone in our party before or after our visit. They are familiar with boats, they knew that it was not damaged during our rental. Know that if you rent a boat they will take your deposit as this is part of their business model. And Bob, I see no need in contacting you further. You've done it before and you'll do it again. I'll look elsewhere next time I'd like to rent a boat

Best place to buy a boat, I consider my deal a good deal and consider the treatment outstanding. Two months after the sale and they still treat you like a valued customer. Seth and Corey were honest, very knowledgable and not pushy. Took 3 weeks for me to find the exact boat. They never pushed. Everyone there is friendly and has time for you. Go there if you want a boat for deep creek or any area for that matter.

We used Bill's Marine Service when we went to Deep Creek for a Bachelorette party. Boats were very nice and clean. You could tell that they are very well taken care of. Our drivers were excellent as well. Extremely polite and respectful. They helped us with group photos and carrying things on and off the boat. WE HAD A BLAST.

I would not recommend them..... They serviced our boat for 10 years from 2011 to 2021, over that time the GM - Bob Nickel was not a kind person to us (and the Nautique company themselves even had to pay him to service our boat.. I am NOT kidding). Always contention, despite us spending $30k+ in service over the years.Then, we bought a used boat this summer (2022) from a Bills Marine customer across the lake. We figured bills would service it. Because we didnt buy our boat at Bills from Bob Nickel (even though the used boat we bought, WAS bought at Bills..) they kicked us out of their program, wont store our boat anymore and wont service our boat. I called Bob was his usual self to me.Also, they gouged my boat and cost me $1500+ to fix the gouge on the way out! And would not pay to fix the boat they scratched. We kept their last payment to cover the cost to fix the boat - and Bob sued us! Steer clear!! Awful service and management.

Visited Bill's Marine Service and I guess that is all I can say. They did not allow us to make a reservation stating (over the phone) that it was on a "first come, first serve" basis. So we gathered up the crew, loaded the cars and refreshments for an early evening on the lake. When we arrived there are several pontoons available, however, we were told at the marina that since they close at 5 PM, they stopped renting boats at 2 PM.We arrived there near 2:15 PM (rounding up) for a group of 7 that needed to find the way to the marina (the entrance being near the boat ramp and not in the neighbors yard which, for some reason, everyone seemed to be drawn to). Curiously, they hadn't mentioned a cutoff time over the phone and, once home, I went back to their website to confirm their actual rental hours and did not see that information posted. Had they allowed us to make the reservations from the initial call, we would have secured a time slot and a pontoon. So what she really should've said was on a "first come before 2 PM, first serve" basis.Considering that we were only using it for a two-hour rental, it seemed we would be able to have ample time to get out on the lake and return the pontoon on time.As luck would have it (after being turned away) - not an hour later, it started to rain - so that would have ruined the experience we could've had. No worries since they don't issue inclement weather refunds.For the short time we we there, the staff was not very nice (not over the phone or in person). The phone/counter girl (not sure if they were one in the same) was very short about the rental and not as informative as she should've been. I honestly walked away feeling sorry for BMS because they had staff that would turn away money (Especially during the time of COVID-19). Seems to me that if we hadn't returned the rental on time, they could charge a late fee thereby collecting the deposit, actual payment, and a late fee (but I - as a potential customer - shouldn't be giving out business models).

We were renting a boat for a couple of hours at Bill’s Marine Service.Brandon helped us carry everything we had to the boat. Derek, Brandon, and Clay were so friendly. Clay helped us carry everything we had back to the car. This was the best boat rental experience I have ever received!We will definitely be returning to Bill’s Marine Service in the future.

Awesome service and great condition boats. While getting of the boat, I dropped my GoPro into the water near the dock and having asked the guys working at the docks if it at all possible to get it. They said it's quite difficult as the water was foggy and that the dock was pretty deep. They told me that they'd try later in the evening but I assumed it was just their nice way of saying their not going to do it. However, they called us back around 7pm (after hours) the same day saying they had retrieved the camera. I was surprised at their honesty and commitment to making our trip satisfactory. The crew were all so kind when getting into the boat till we got out. Sad for us we had already left town for the day, but Bill's Marine Service mailed it to us and we received it in 3 days and paid a very small amount for shipping only. If you're looking to rent a boat at deep creak lake, this should be your first stop.

We rented a ski boat from these folks. They did a great job getting us set up, and the rental went off without a hitch. My only complaint is that no one in the rental facility was wearing a mask in the midst of our COVID-19 pandemic. I was wearing a mask, and I would expect this establishment to return the favor.

Drove over three hours trailering my 20 ft boat to put in the lake only to have my 90A fuse blow on my Mercruiser at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Fortunately the parts department was open seven days a week till 6pm. They had the fuse in stock and saved my four day trip to the lake. Friendly and quick service. Keep up the great work!

We went for a day of fun on the water with about 9 of us including my 3 year old daughter. Barb was so very helpful and fun to work with getting our rentals. We rented a pontoon and tube - initially for 4 hours and ended up having so much fun we extended for the rest of the day. Thanks for an amazing Saturday on the water!

My boat just would not start. I pushed, I pulled. Well I gave up, brought it in here to bill, Bill put on a Chuck Norris hat. He came out and gave my boat a round house kick and it instantly took off. I rode that SOB like SpongeBob squre pants down to the lake. Mrs. puff would have been proud 👏

Thank you for keeping us on the water! After getting a rope tangled in the jet boat, we thought our boating time would be seriously reduced. Clay and Derek helped pull the boat from the water. Within 10 minutes we were back on the lake thanks to the excellent and courteous service.

Best at the lake!!! If you use anyone except Bill's at the lake you're cheating yourself. Great service, friendly workers, newer and clean rentals. I'll never go elsewhere. I needed some paperwork that I misplaced and Christine Tucci was extremely helpful and quickly got me what I needed. As I said friendly and extremely helpful staff.

STEER CLEAR: Their employees forced us to go out from our slip to the fuel pier during a terrible thunderstorm, causing my buddy to fall overboard and lose everything in his pockets including his phone. I tried to get everyone off the boat in the slip and was told no one could get off and I had to leave the safety of the the slip to get fuel before I could pull in. Asked for a refund and was told I should have disobeyed their employees instructions. Ridiculous. Could have gotten everyone off the boat safe and gotten fuel after the storm. And thank goodness I didn't damage the boat in the storm. Probably would have been charged for that too.
