Our family got our 1st pet, a cat named Duchess and needed a vet that we could trust. Friends recommended them to us and hands down this is the place. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our little kitty and their expertise and experience with animals really shows. The cost was reasonable, they have very flexible hours, and everything you need right there for all of your pet's needs.

We were recommended by our vet to get some surgery for our dog with a torn CCL (dog version of acl). After calling around, we found NMAH and they’ve been nothing but transparent about the pricing and the surgery needed for our dog. The surgery was a complete success and been coming in every 3-4 days for recovery. I’ve gotten to know the staff and they’re a bunch of great individuals who care about their clients and their owners. Although I wish they were closer to me, I highly recommend NMAH. Enjoy a picture of my sad dog the day she got home but we were all happy to see her home.

New Market Animal Hospital is amazing!! We had an emergency situation to which our PREVIOUS vet’s office stated it would be close to $11,000 or death for our sweet boy, we called around & found New Market they were able to see him 1st thing the next morning & performed the surgery that was needed. They kept him for 3 days & took amazing care of him! In the midst of everything I was a disaster but the AMAZING staff & Dr Chand have done nothing short of excellent across the board. I absolutely felt like they are in it for the love of animals, they all treated & loved Romeo like their own. It’s a passion for them not just a paycheck. For that I’m beyond grateful!! We live 40 minutes from the office but it is worth every minute of the drive! He will forever be a patient there now! Thank you New Market!!

I can’t say enough about this facility I was desperate my corgi was 24 hours labor distress I brought her in and they were great a C-section delivered 10 puppies alive!! Hats off I totally recommend this hospital fantastic!!!

The staff is Very professional!, friendly! and efficient! I’ve taken my cat to several vets over the years and New market animal hospital is the first to get it right. I finally found a doctor I can trust! Dr. Chand. I would recommend New Market animal hospital to anyone looking for the best care of their pet.

Very unpleasant experience during my first and certainly last visit. I called the hospital in reference to finding out what it might cost to spay my puppy here and was told that that could schedule a "pre-spay appointment". So I did, under the impression that I would be able to consult with the doctor during that appointment about cost, procedure, etc. Come the day, I did get mixed up on times and completely missed the appointment, which was totally on me, and to their credit, NMAH generously offered me the chance to come in at the end of the day instead. That's where the positives pretty much ended, though. We got there, and within a few minutes, a tech unexpectedly whisked our puppy away for blood work (for which no estimate was given let alone approved by me, but I foolishly let her go). Then we sit in the lobby. For a while. No idea what's going on, really. When they finally bring her back out, we find out the doctor did a wellness exam too - which would have been fine and expected, except that I as the owner wasn't even in the room or told it was happening at all. As a result, I couldn't really do much "consultation", and they still didn't give me an idea of what blood tests they had done or what it had cost until we were handed the receipt after payment. When I was given the total, it sent me reeling, but again, I foolishly paid because conflict makes me extremely anxious. However, within 15 minutes of the appointment ending, I called back. I had to leave a message since it was then after hours, no big deal, and I asked them to please not send the samples to the lab and do not proceed with the tests and asked if I could be refunded the cost for the tests (not the exam, which though it felt very wrong to do without my presence I would have been happy paying for). I never received a call back, even to say this wasn't possible. Instead, one or two business days later, the vet calls to say the tests were fine and I could schedule the procedure anytime in the next two weeks - no mention of my voicemail. I had to open a dispute with my credit card company to get this looked into.I went here because they advertise being a lower cost, but pre op blood work in the estimate given to me up front by my regular vet was one third of the price. I have no idea what NMAH would have charged for the actual spay surgery, as despite my asking explicitly for that estimate when the vet brought her out to say everything looked great in her surprise exam, and being told "the girls would send something to me," I never received anything.I will be doing what I should have just done in the first place and taking her to the vet my family has used since I was little myself, and I will not be back here. I appreciate their flexibility, but this is not the place for my baby and me.

We’ve been bringing our pets here for over 10 years and always received the best care on everything from routine visits to major surgery. All of the staff is awesome and loves our pets like we do!

First of all, I am very grateful this animal hospital was able to get me in the same day -on a Friday afternoon. However, extremely small waiting room(s) and people were all over the place. Seemed chaotic, disorganized, and understaffed.Overall, wasn't impressed with the service. I mean, did you really need a 4DX for my dog to get an NSAID? I was a little disappointed when they didn't shave or clean the "wound" on my dog. It was an infected, oozing cyst that was becoming necrotic. It smelled terrible and they left it as is and offered to do surgery "right away" aka in 4-5 days. Being a former vet tech, I took my dog home and shaved/cleaned the area. I started treating it the way I knew how since I didn't just want to leave it like that until surgery.. I did take her to an emergency clinic on Sunday for a second opinion to make sure I wasn't getting big headed.. I will add that once I told New Market what it looked like they said not to touch it anymore and they could get her in on Monday, so I do commend them for that.. but long story short, I canceled my appointment. I continued doing what I was doing (per second vet) and it healed just fine within a week.I do not think New Market is a "bad" animal hospital and am not suggesting that you avoid this place. I just hold all vet clinics to the standards I was personally held to and I am more unhappy about what they didn't do and not so much what they did do.

I am writing this review from the bottom of my heart. I would like to thank the New Market Animal Clinic team for having treated my beloved Milo-Dakota Richard immediately when no other hospital was available. Milo-Dakota Richard was an extremely loved cat by everyone around him, he was a companion for adventures, fun and many special moments, unfortunately a sudden illness took him away from me, but I want to thank that in his last moments, he was treated by Dr. Safi Chand, who not only acted as an excellent professional but also acted as an exceptional human being, the animal world needs more doctors like Dr. Chand who is also very good at communicating information with people who speak Spanish. I highly recommend visiting this place if you ever need veterinary care for your Pet. Gracias Doctor Chand... with love Milo!

My experience with Dr. Safi Chand felt more like I was speaking with a salesman and not a doctor.We've been taking our cat (1 yr old) to this vet over the past year and had only positive experiences until the most recent visit. Our cat was due for an annual check up including a rabies and distemper vaccine. When offering the rabies vaccine, the technician detailed two options: one that was more expensive and had to be administered yearly (PureVax), and one that was significantly less expensive, performed just as well, and only needed to be administered once every three years. Initially, we opted for the cheaper option. Then the technician left and returned with Dr. Safi Chand, the rabies vaccine we chose, and the distemper.As soon as he walked into the room, Dr. Chand looked at the vaccines we had chosen and asked the technician if she'd already asked us about the PureVax vaccine. She said yes, still, Dr. Chand proceeded with his sales pitch. He detailed that 6 in 1,000 patients given the old and cheaper vaccine get gruesome, irremovable tumors from the vaccine that would result in my cat needing to be put down. Without mentioning the prices of either, he said, "Now, do you want the safe option, or the old one?" Confused as to which was which, we said of course we would go with the safe one because the imagery he provided and the prospect of our cat needing to be put down made it seem like the obvious choice. When he asked the technician to retrieve the PureVax instead of the one we had initially chosen, I realized he had sold us the more expensive one. His manipulative word choice and fearmongering did not go unnoticed by myself or my partner. We likely won't be returning, which is a shame because the technicians, secretarial staff, and previous doctors we have seen have been so kind over the past year.

My cat had to get her leg amputated and they did it perfectly!! She's playing and acting the same, you wouldn't think she lost a leg lol. Her stitches were also done really nicely. I would definitely recommend!!

Based on my first experience, I would prefer not to go to this vet. It happened to be the closest animal hospital and it was an emergency. The doctor never once said my dogs name and he just referred to her as "the patient". I had to go back and I saw a different doctor, and she was wonderful. I would still avoid going if possible. The service was as expected and no concerns there, but the doctor initially seen was just not great.

Dr. Parna was very attentive and thorough in taking a history and examining my cat. She explained the test results and diagnosis, as well as all my options and the best course of treatment. I have been taking my dogs to NMAH since we moved to the area and have always had a good experience. Floyd has several medical problems requiring frequent visits, tests, and medications. The staff and Dr. Parna are always great with communication and following up. The office is clean and everyone is very nice, helpful, and accommodating and truly care about my dogs.

We moved to New Market about two years ago and have been bringing our two dogs and cat to NMAH since we moved here. Our animals are very shy about the vet and hate going. Our oldest dog, Dez is extremely anxious (EXTREMELY) and does not like being touched by anyone he does not know. He's been known to nip at strangers when they try to touch him and gets nervous and slightly aggressive. We were so surprised when we met our technician, Sharon, and he loved her right away. This is extremely unusual for him. He let her hold him, touch him, listen to his heart and everything. We were appalled. I can't begin to explain how much it meant to us that he feels safe with her and that she was able to help us get through his exam with no issues at all. Just because of that, we would never take him anywhere else. Thanks to all the techs who work there and the vets who have all been great every time.

I brought my dog here for an emergency appointment which resulted in him needing surgery to remove a foreign body that had gotten lodged in his intestines. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the entire experience and even though they were busy and space was limited, they would let me come in and visit with my dog during his 6 day hospitalization. They were always very quick to provide me with any updates regarding his condition and after he had a seizure, they stayed late to ensure his condition had stabilized post medication. I cannot thank Dr. Chand and the vet techs enough for saving my dogs life and providing him with exceptional care.

I love them and so do my doggos!! NMAH has amazing a courteous staff! I’ve been coming here for about 3 years now. From bringing my first baby to them to about a year later them being so helpful and responsive with paperwork to them get our second pup. My doggos are never afraid to enter the facilities, they actually get very happy once they realize where we’re going😁we are always greeted with kindness, the staff is so helpful and flexible! They did my youngest pups neuter surgery, and helped me with my oldest allergy issues! They are too tier!!

20 Years and 3 Dogs cared for by this wonderful place. Our new boy Remi, hurt is foot late on a Sunday after playing in the yard with his brothers. We rushed him to the vet as they were closing! The Staff was so caring and helpful they took Remi back and fixed his poor little cut paw with 7 stitches, and lots of hugs. The kindness this place and its Staff has shown us over the years is fabulous, after the passing of our other boys they sent beautiful cards of condolence. I wouldn't trust any other place with my fur babies ! Thank you New Market Animal Hospital !!
