I go to this CVS Pharmacy all the time and have rarely ever ran into problems. The prices are commonly outrageous but it makes sense for a drug store. (Amazing chocolate selection during holidays lol.)Some of your staff obviously have a problem for no reason and most likely hate their job. Once I was walking in with my kid (she’s a very hyper girl but she’s not rude or obnoxious) and there was a staff member by the entrance. My daughter hopped in but didn’t sprint or cause any harm. But of course, the staff member snapped at her, “NO RUNNING!” and scared the poor girl. He was very rude and moody towards me and her, and he acted as though she wasn’t with me and kept ignoring her when she asked where something was. Anyway, I’d say %50 of the staff are pleasant and the other half are just rude for no reason.

Worst pharmacy staff ever. Not friendly, not helpful. For example, I was on the phone with the pharmacy representative and she was talking to someone else in the background. Kept asking me the questions over again because she wasn’t paying attention.I wish I could find a pharmacy with good quality stuff. Any recommendations are welcome. I only take one medicine btw

When your in line at drive thur and it's 1:29 I get up to window to get my prescription the lady says it's 130 can't get your prescription because we are closed for lunch. Cvs has gotten horrible when it comes to customer service. Pulling all my prescription and finding another pharmacy. Who has good customer service.

1 star this time, earlier in the week a 5 stars. Everyone was very nice which is why I go to CVS in any state.I am assuming manager (name withheld/today) and another employee were standing in the walkway (with unpleasant looks) when I rounded the corner with my 2 SD. I had their vests on my shoulder as it was hot outside and a backpack purse.The manager walks up and states no dogs allowed. We had 1 pee in here. I grabbed the obvious vests on my shoulder and said they are SD. At the end I provided a SD card from the ADA for her to copy for future reference. She did not, walked away flustered claiming she was not rude. She did not handle it professionally to ensure this did not happen. I was mad , I felt she owed me more than an half a**excuse, to be genuine. Apologize. As a Manager of a corporation. My SD doing their jobs pushed me toward the door. 1 of many functions they provide (their was a several reasons for that). I always have my SD's use the restroom before entering an establishment.

The website and store hours posted outside the door say 7:00am open. I’ve been waiting a half hour and still no one has opened up. I guess it’s a “show up for work when you feel like it” environment.

The staff is always friendly, though there never seems to be anyone at the front counter. I always have to go find them or wait to get help. The pharmacy on the other hand always has a ton of staff on hand. Hands down the friendliest CVS I've been to but they still have the pitfalls of corporate CVS systems, a ridiculous telephone menu, and issues with the automated refills. But when I can get a real person the service is great here.

SEVEN signs on the front door about MASKS WERE REQUIRED by everyone while inside the store, including directions on how they should be worn. Not to mention the count mandate. First employee in the door has it under her nose, next employee has it under his mouth, and the third has no mask whatsoever. This place already has one of the worst reputations for service. Don't put up 7 signs telling everyone what to do then not following those rules at all in a drug store/pharmacy.

I moved my prescriptions to this CVS in Middletown over Ballenger and have been ecstatic with the customer service and availability of everything I need. Employees always ask if I need help finding something and actually walk you to where the item is . The drive through rarely has a long wait but it is so much better than any of the other alternatives around the area . The pharmacy techs are super nice and the pharmacists are always very helpful with any medication questions etc. The store itself doesn't have many staff but it is always clean, the isles are clear and they have a bit of everything. The self checkout is a time saver as well. My 'go to' CVS.

I’ve actually had far better experiences at this CVS than any other. However their app never communicates the same thing as they do. So I need to call in to ensure my meds will be ready - the times I do lately I’m met with an indifferent bored sounding pharmacy employee that clearly couldn’t care less about my concerns. When I tried to explain and ask about the different messages I was repeatedly cut off and told I’d be texted. If she’d take more than 30 secs to talk to me I’d probably not have to call every month but here we are.

Worst pharmacy in the area. Understaffed constantly. I’m Always waiting for meds to be filled even after two days of calling it in. Then I just had a huge issue the other day of me not being able to get meds for my daughter at all. I called in a refill to my daughter’s doctor 2weeks who, I went call them to see if it’s been filled and they told me they are waiting on doctor’s approval. After being on the phone 3 separate times with her doctor and 3 separate times with CVS I find out I had to call my insurance company and get it approved by insurance as well. Now my daughter is completely out of her Flovent. If they just called me the week I got it filled and informed me they were unable to fill it for that reason, I wouldn’t be as upset as I am now. It takes only a few minutes to inform people of complications with filling meds…. And I didn’t hear from them once. Thank God I have enough of her Albuterol left.*edit* I can’t get though to a pharmacist…. I’ve been trying for 20 mins now. Outrageous

My prescription is NEVER ready for pick up no matter how long I wait after ordering… I’ll order via the app and try to pick up a day or two later and still have to pull off to the side and wait 15-30 minutes for them to “rush” fill the order. I could understand if I had ordered with in a few hours but I’ve given them days.. one of my medications I was told had a hold on it because it was a refill even though it was a new prescription, after I explained that I was told that it wasn’t filled because it was prescribed as a 30 day and they can only do 90 day… okay this particular prescription was called in 3 days ago which is was more than enough time to realize that buy yet I wasn’t informed about even though my number is on my account and other cvs’s have in the past? I come to this cvs out of convenience on my way home but they are no longer convenient if they can’t fulfill prescriptions in a timely manner or call customers when there is an issue.

Pharmacy staff is not your doctor office! People complaining and blaming them every time I go to pick up my meds. Your doc office is responsible for calling in the prescription. The automated system gives you options to have a refill. It’s not CVS staff responsibility to call your doctor to get refill! Nor is it their problem of what your insurance does or does not cover! They provide excellent service for this over demanding job during and what still is a pandemic! So next time you go in like they owe the world to you, maybe try putting yourself in their shoes before giving judgement.

The pharmacy processed my script and I picked it up with no wait. Pharmacy staff is very helpful. The non-pharmacy staff is still missing in action. With no person in sight at the checkout, I had to use the self checkout which for a historic first actually processed my purchase! Please hire and pay decently some more staff members for this store. Thank you, a customer.

This one star is STRICTLY for the PHARMACY.This has got to be one of the most poorly run pharmacies I've ever had the displeasure of using. I live very close so it would make sense that I have my prescriptions sent here but I may need to reconsider after the poor customer service I've received in the last 6 months.Last night I needed to pick up a script after work and noticed the drive-thru line had about 4 cars so I thought it would be quicker if I just went into the store.....WRONG.For starters, there is literally 1 couple ahead of me in line while an older gentleman is checking out. When the couple ahead of me got up to the counter they gave their name and other information and the slow-moving monotone pharmacy tech goes to retrieve the scripts. He returns with the wrong one (I overheard the name was completely different and a male...) then slowly returns to get the correct one. After slowly checking these two out it is FINALLY my turn (I had been waiting 10 plus minutes in line at this point) I got my script and told the tech I needed a refill on another one they already had in their system. He tells me he can't help me at that counter and I'd have to go to the "Drop-off" counter, which I get and was fine doing except I waited there for an additional 5+ minutes with no one acknowledging me only to have the woman who was just standing around complaining about how she has to replace her car FINALLY came over to help me. This is just one of MANY problematic interactions with these guys. I wish I could wrap my head around WHY this location is SO terrible at their job. Hey CVS, DO BETTER.

Closest drugstore to home. We get several prescriptions there. The pharmacy is well staffed. The rest of the store appears to be chronically UNDERstaffed. I don't think I have ever seen more than three people in the front section, and often it appears to be only two. As they are frequently busy re-stocking, that can mean long waits at checkout. They have recently installed two self-service checkout machines, but I will NEVER use them as long as there are human cashiers. And if there are ever zero human cashiers, I will shop somewhere else.

The one star review is for the pharmacy only. Ever since they built the new store things have changed drastically in the pharmacy. Many of the pharmacists and technicians are either rude or indifferent. At the drive through I don't even get a greeting. It is impossible to get any individual attention since they always seem to be so overworked...even when there is nobody waiting in line. Last year my husband called to get a flu shot and was told that they didn't have anymore and didn't know when they would be getting more. He called the CVS on Camp Road In Frederick and they told him to come right in for it. The pharmacists there said that the Middletown CVS was probably just busy and didn't want to take the time to administer the vaccine. I am getting my medications at Med 1 Pharmacy now. They are wonderful there:)As for the store itself I would give it 5 stars for the convenience, the coupons and because the store has a wonderful staff of friendly, helpful people:)

I work in a doctors office and I needed to call a prescription in. Was literally on hold for twenty minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. I will suggest to patients don’t get prescriptions filled at this pharmacy. Finally got a hold of someone, and all was said was they are extremely busy. It is very obvious that more staff needs to be hired.

Called this morning. They said my prescription was filled. Go there, they tell me that my doctors need to authorize it three days after the doctor called it in. The tech then started to treat me incredibly rudely as I was questioning why they need authorization when they told me that it was filled. She blamed everyone but herself and kept trying to blame me. I stood off to the side for over an hour waiting for them to fix their mistake and saw four other people whrte the same thing happened. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I concur with the previous review; "it is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to, bar none. I went several times and was treated rudely and unprofessionally." The staff needs lessons on courtesy and on fulfilling customer's needs. They seem to think that the least extension of customer service is too much effort. If you are able to go anywhere else, do so. Wait time was typically 45-60 minutes.

I hate this pharmacy, they almost sold me re-called medicine last time i was in, they go out of their way to sell you a non-generic drug. Evening staff is a cluster and day shift is not much better. I didnt want to go back here today but middletown sent half of doctors prescribed medicine to another pharmacy, upon arrival at other pharmacy i find that they cant fill them and they never should have been sent, never bothered to let us know!I sincerely hope your store shuts down before your inexperienced staff gives out the wrong drugs and hurts or kills someone. Walmart is better than this. Dont go here for anything more than tums or a cough drop.

Guy at register was not helpful with my 40% coupon and didnt try to explain why it may not be showing on HIS COMPUTER, when it says 40% off any item. Never had a problem with it before. He didnt have to get short either.

So I’ve been going to this pharmacy for years and it’s been steadily going downhill. I have elderly grandparents that can’t just leave whenever they’d like so they rely on calling. They don’t answer their phones. Just tried twice. Waited about a half hour each time and no answer. No one even picked up to say please hold. It’s very frustrating when you don’t have the option to drive to the store and calling is just redundant. I understand they can get busy but at this point they might as well say “we’re not a accepting calls” because they don’t and then ppl wouldn’t have to waste their valuable time

Kinda bummed...after using this pharmacy for a year it seems like every month something is wrong with their system. Today once again. They hadn't calculated my co-pays correctly...then I wanted 15 mins while everyone else got serviced and I was punished. Considering they have purchased my insurance company is expect all this to bear little smoother. It's time to try harder.

Only getting one star because the store part is clean and well maintained. THE PHARMACY HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST PHARMACY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. RUDE, LIE ON THE PHONE AND SAY YOUR PRESCRIPTION IS IN, NEVER IS. TELL YOU ITS ORDERED AND WILL BE IN ON THE TRUCK THE NEXT DAY, NEVER IS. IF YOU NEED A PRESCRIPTION FILLED GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

This CVS is new, and as such, is clean, we'll organized and convenient as you would expect with a CVS. The only criticism I have is their parking lot. There are a lot of odd lanes to take to get to the spots,making it a bit confusing when trying to leave add other people are pulling in. Certainly wouldn't prevent me from using this location again.

The staff are very polite, helpful and responsive. Prescriptions are filled accurately and in a timely manner and the pharmacy is proactive with refills that need approval from the doctor.
