It was more expensive than I expected. Also the bags of lettuce were brown and slimy. I would recommend shopping around for produce and fresh fruit prices. It felt like the prices were convince pricing, especially considering their quality.

Some days have everything on the list, other days can't find anything (not even close to substitute). There will be racks of products jamming up the aisle to where you can barely get through and the shelves will be empty. Need to have a better system for stocking and product ordering

Geeeezzzzz.... I don't know if this was just an "OFF" day for the workers or whatever. Place has a good selection however the Staff was helpful, when I could find them. Lol 😆

I thought this was a Dolce & Gabbana outlet, kind of like Nordstrom Rack, but apparently the DG is derived from “Dollar General”. Not a bad selection of grocery items at fairly reasonable prices; friendly staff.

This store is one of the cleanest, most well-organized "dollar stores" of the entire county. It is very well stocked and you will rarely(if ever) find any spot on a shelf missing product. I have never encountered an issue here by any means. The associates are always friendly, courteous, and professional. I frequent this store a lot, mostly because of the convenience and close-range to home versus other stores, but I will say that even if I had access to many stores, I would still go there. Great management and team effort.

Poorly managed. Place has merchandise scattered on the floors. Hate coming here. I would rather drive to Leonardtown where it’s neat and clean. The grounds surrounding it are filthy. Parking lot has cigarette butts and trash. They say the employees are responsible for the grounds but they don’t want to clean it. If Dollar General wants to keep opening store’s in St. Mary’s County they better look elsewhere. We sit on the watershed and their trash is dumping into our waterways.

The staff is always so helpful! Especially Mark, and Cindy. They went out of their way to find my dogs favorite treats. Great budget shopping. Easy parking from major and side road. Super clean. Has so many great things stocked from household, over counter meds, EMS needs, auto, and outside. Nice clean bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised.

How was it??? Busy as always. This is the Mechanicsville, Maryland Dollar General, the most used one in the area, but supplies don't keep up with the demand. I thought that would improve after it was open for a while but it hasn't. Otherwise, Staff is friendly and accommodating. It is always clean. The aisles are not cluttered.

Customer Service was Great. Extremely friendly & very helpful as well as quick to get me checked out accurately & we'll on my way. It was 1st thing on a Thurs. morning & there was in fact a gentlemen there stocking the shelves as i was in the store shopping for my puppies necessities. The pet section was a bit disorganized & bare but for the most part the rest of the store seemed well stocked,organized & very clean. I will definitely revisit the Dollar General located off of Muddy Creek Rd in Churchton, MD.

It was my first and only time in this Dollar General store. I found it quite busy, cramped, and the shelves needed stocked. The staff was busy at the registers (only 2 open) so there was nobody to really do much about stocking shelves. It was early evening so folks were getting off work, the store was busy, so perhaps an extra person at this time of day would be helpful. Just an observation as a guest/patron

Omg for being a new store this thing looks horrible Christmas stuff still up boxes everywhere u can't walk nothing on the shelfs they need to hire someone that will work just sad looks...unreal I would work 24 hrs a day just to have it straight crazy

The place is neat and orderly the cashiers are always friendly and willing to help you with anything that you need if the lines get more than four people they call in another cashier my friends and I go there at least once a week Heather and Ashley are the two people who greeted us when we come in the door that is our main go to shopping store we appreciated and we shopped there always thank you very much we appreciate it and we value it my name is Donna Lorraine and my partner when we go there is Mary Bowman

it's not necessarily the police I hate so much it's the fact that the store manager there has some kind of vendetta against me and follows me around the store every time I'm in there even though I always buy stuff I have never been caught stealing from there but yet I'm still followed.the other employees are wonderful sweet kind do their job, but the store manager follows me and he knows he does because last week he made a comment to me about not liking my comment about him following me well I called him out and now he doesn't even look at me.

For a dollar general this place is great. Cheap prices for food items. But it is a cheap store, don't expect high quality. Still I'd go here any time i need something quickly. Friendly staff :)

I usually purchase cosmetics at the Dollar general in Mechanicsville. It seems that everytime I purchase a product the sign says one price and the register rings up a higher price. usually when this happens I tell the cashier and they go check the price and change it to the correct one. As I say this is been going on for a very long time probably a year! Today once again I purchased a bottle of Fit foundation and the sign said $6:00 and it rang up for $6.50 . I said something to cashier and while he was polite he didn't go to check the pricing. I didn't want to hold up the line by insisting so I paid it and left. I really feel like this continuing situation so be addressed.

I love DG and really don't have any issue other than the lines tend to be very long and the employees will open a 2nd cash register telling everyone it's open but not making sure the next person in line gets to go first.

Good service and large selection of items but very FEW things are actually a dollar. In the evening they can get very busy and you might wait in line a long time due to the fact they only have 3 registers and most only use one.

Merchandise and stock all over the floor. Some shelves empty. The young boy that was the cashier was rude did not greet me upon checking out nor once my transaction was complete. Regional manager should pay them a visit.

I love that it's convenient to home, so when I need a dark chocolate fix I can run up there. I get the DG bar which is really good for a dollar and ALL the proceeds go to the literacy foundationThat's champion!

This Mechanicsville,Maryland store mgr needs to respond pls or I will come in,with my receipt and ask for my funds back today,of something your store made mistake with Today at 3:37pm this afternoon with a prepaid reloadable VERIZON card I had asked and paid$15 to,add too and i,got to house , its not on my card SERIOUSLY DOLLAR GENERAL.
