If I could give 0 stars I would. Every single time we’ve gotten a prescription filled, it’s been a terror. Either waiting in the drive thru for 30 mins with no one in sight, no pharmacist, no flavoring for children’s antibiotics (even after calling to confirm it can be flavored). Take business elsewhere.

I had a tooth pulled and my dentist office tried to call in my prescription three times, every time we called to see if it were filled or even if they received it, they never answered their phones. So we drove all the way into the pharmacy and waited in long lines for them to tell us they hadn’t received it. So the dentist tried to leave it on their answering machine since they weren’t answering for them either, again, we had to drive all the way back to the pharmacy since they weren’t answering the phones and when we got there they again said they hadn’t received it. We asked them to check the answering machines and again they said that it wasn’t there. So finally we had to ask our dentist office to send it to a different pharmacy so we could get it filled. We had to wait till the next day by this time and I was swollen and in pain! You just lost my business cvs.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Since this store stopped being Tidewater pharmacy and started being a CVS, I’ve had nothing but awful experiences. It’s almost impossible to talk to an actual human on the phone, my prescriptions have never once been right, even if you manage to call ahead for refills you’ll be sitting there for at least 30 minutes. This pharmacy is absolutely horrible. They’ll tell you they have your medication on the phone and when you get there they act like you haven’t ever been in the system. Please bring back the old pharmacy. CVS is the worst.

I hate it that we have to deal with the worse pharmacy in the country. They didn't have my medication so I asked them when they would have it, she replied.." I DON'T KNOW".Tidewater was the best Pharmacy ever. It had such a warm atmosphere. And it was unique. I miss them dearly. They knew how to treat people. I hope people boycott them.I wish you could give -stars, because CVS would be a minus 5.

Incompetence and horrible customer relations is how I would describe this pharmacy! If I could give zero stars I would. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions as well as my family's ect. to New Market Pharmacy. I discovered them when I was turned away from this CVS (they never knew when they would get the medication that I needed in as well as questioning the script that needed to be filled. I told them to call my Dr. to verify, then I was told just to take it somewhere else to have It filled). I went across the street to New Market. I am so glad I did. The pharmacist is amazing! I heard him call a customer to make sure he was okay because the customer hadn't pick his script up yet. That was just one example of his great kindness. I am in the process of trying to have all ours scripts transferred to New Market. But if course CVS seems to be to busy or short handed to comply.

Save yourself the trouble and do NOT use this pharmacy. I had a late night televisit with my doctor around 7:45pm last night, and my doctor sent my prescription to this CVS electronically. To ensure the prescriptions were received, I called ahead around 8:14pm. The woman on the phone was EXTREMELY rude and literally hung up on me! I was in the middle of asking a question and she said “WE’RE WORKING ON YOUR SCRIPTS NOW!” with an obvious attitude, and *click* hung right up on me. Then, when I arrived at the pharmacy around 8:30pm, I sat at the pick up window for 45 mins ringing the bell, and no one came to help me. The sign in the window says “only ring the bell ONCE, we will be with you shortly.” So the first time I rang it, I waited quite a bit, expecting someone to show up.. but when the clock ticked forward toward closing time, I got worried and rang the bell again- twice. No one ever came. The hours were clearly listed on the window, and they didn’t close until 9pm. There were cars in the parking lot and all the lights were on. There was no excuse for it. I never got my scripts, going to try again today.. but I wasted my time and gas to drive all the way there for no reason - AFTER the lady was extremely rude to me on the phone. I will be going to New Market from now on.

CVS took over Tidewater and it was a big mistake on CVS's behalf. CVS NEVER has enough helped staffed. Why would CVS want to take over a pharmacy that ran so fast and well knowing they could not even come close to keeping the customers coming back. Everyone I know who lives around this CVS location has all said if they don't start having help they will all go to McKays or Walgreens. You should not have to stand in line at a pharmacy for 30 plus minutes waiting for someone to wait on you. Then they have to key in each name and each birthday for each person you are picking a prescription up for. Your system is slow, your employees are slow. You have one pharmacist on a Friday evening really? In case nobody told you Tidewater was a very very busy pharmacy. That is why there was always a few pharmacist, a few techs and several cashiers on duty at all times. Not to mention the prescriptions was always cheaper with the old company. CVS is the most expensive place we have seen yet. CVS could learn a few things from a small Mom and Pop pharmacy cause they really did it right. If they did not have your medicine it was almost always in the next day. Very rarely did it take longer then the next day but if it did you would always get it withing 3 days tops. I've been to several CVS's over the years and have been told a week several times would be how long before they can get the medicine. CVS will be loosing so much business from this location if they do not step it up quite a bit. I pick up prescription for total of 5 people and if it continues with this kind of wait I will go elsewhere to get all my families prescriptions filled. Truly missing Tidewater! Best pharmacy ever, very little wait time, very friendly and the customer was always treated like family.Update: I wrote this while standing at the counter at CVS while waiting for them to get something straighten out. I was in CVS standing (I was in alot of pain, I need a knee replacement and I have back issues and arthritis almost everywhere) for over an hour. It took about 75 minutes to get waited on and to try and get them the use both insurance cards for my sons medicine. I had them fix it the last time I got one of his medicine and they said it was fixed and I shouldn't have a problem when I come back again. Welp that was WRONG!

Slow, disorganized, unfriendly! We always always have to wait at the window or counter for prescriptions. They do not check their answering machine so they were late in refilling my prescription. The staff does not care about the customers at all; their slowness, laziness and inattentive ness makes coming here an awful experience. They are often rude to customers and act like it’s our fault that they don’t have the prescription ready or anything. Go anywhere else if you need a pharmacy or flu shot or anything.

It is fine in terms of being a CVS. Really miss the character of the old pharmacy. Merchandise now is all the same old stuff as every other store. I came to this place for their unique local items. At least now I will save some money as when I come for prescriptions I will not walk out with $50 worth of toys, holiday decorations and local trinkets.
