I went there to pick up my prescription at 930am, Friday 2/23. There was not a single person in the pharmacy waiting for meds. I asked if I could pick up my script. The associate stated that she has one for me that is waiting to be filled. I asked the pharmacist when it will be ready. The pharmacist stated it would be ready at 9pm. I asked why is it going to take them 12 hours to fill a script. He continued to say 9pm. He then stated it would be ready about 1pm. I asked him to cancel my script and I would ask my doctor to send to my pharmacy "New Market Pharmacy" that I have been with for over 7 years. I stated I was unsure why my doctor sent it to CVS as that must have been an error but I stated to the pharmacist that I will NEVER nor will my family EVER step foot in CVS again for anything. I stated that his manners and customer service is just awful and I rate them a zero star. I stated to the pharmacist that if he takes 12 hours to fill one prescription that this community is in big trouble having to wait at the mercy of that pharmacist. The pharmacist acted like he was doing me a favor for coming into CVS and it seemed like he almost felt such happiness that he was making me wait for 12 hours until I could get my script. I stated that my pharmacy is efficient, helpful and top notch.

If I could separate the stars for the store from the pharmacy I would. The store its self is clean and well stocked. People who work here are super friendly and very easy going. But the pharmacy is horrible. They are so painfully slow. It doesn’t may if you’re in line or the drive through, you WILL be waiting…

This is the WORST CVS! If there was an option for 0 stars, that’s what I’d choose. I’ve been sitting at the drive thru window for about 20 minutes (not the first time) and had to call the store phone to make them aware that I’m at the window. The lady who answered told me to come inside, what is the point of a drive thru if I can’t come to it? When I came up to the window their phone that’s connected to their window speaker was disconnected and I could hear the staff talking, laughing and carrying on for about 10 minutes. Still have not even been greeted at this window as I type this review, it’s going on 40 minutes now!! They need to get rid of this place because inside is no better!

If I could give zero stars I would. Since CVS bought tidewater pharmacy iver 2 years ago, there has not been an occasion when u have come here that there hasn't been an issue. There is never enough staff, and if they do have staff it's from another store. They never had my regularly scheduled meds even after reminding them for months to order it prior to me needing it. They never ever answer the phone. I've waited so long on the automated message that it just hung up on me. My mom's Rx for a narcotic was called in before 12 and at 4pm it's still not ready.

If I could possibly give it less I sure would!! Waited over 20 minutes in the drive through so I come inside literally not a person in line not and yet still has to wait an additional 10 minutes before someone came to the counter!! I absolutely hate coming here but I have to due to the fact my child’s medicine has to be delivered here if it wasn’t for that I would never ever step foot into this place!!! New Market Pharmacy (right across the street of this CVS )it’s literally the best pharmacy in the area you aren’t even in there 5 minutes filling or picking up your prescriptions

I've picked up prescriptions 2 different times this past week. I went inside both times and did not have any problems. Prescriptions were ready quickly and staff were friendly.

This has been a long over due review but this chain pharmacy of CVS, especially at this location is garbage to say the least. It shows how greedy a national pharmacy brand can be as they choose to do nothing about addressing their personnel hiring issues, that result in people standing in line for over 30 minutes after being told to come in from the drive-thru, as they are short handed inside. Stop blaming Covid still for this, raise you're pay for people to actually want to work there and start caring about you're customers. Sitting on hold for hours on the phone with questions should not be the normal! I was told after waiting over 25 minutes for someone to hold for a pharmacists. We are now going on 1 hr & 12 minutes of being on hold as they have obviously forgotten about me. Unacceptable. Corporate CVS needs to step in however this seems to be the way of doing business in general for this business. Stop not caring about the customers that make this chain business & many other's millions every month! Places like this really make people realize how much places like the old Tidewater Pharmacy and other local "non-chain" money hungry brands like CVS are missed and needed again in this country.Of course looking at the other reviews on here of them, it's clear that this will simply fall of deaf ears as they simple don't care. Time for people to choose local again and push these greedy cooperation's out the door!

This is the worst CVS Pharmacy. They will not contact your Dr's office or insurance for clarifications. Instead, they let your prescription sit in the system and wait for you to come in. At that point they expect you resolve the issue with your provider or insurance. I'm talking the simplest of things such as a pre-authorization. Every other pharmacy does this for you. Then they make sure they don't answer the phone when your Dr calls to provide clarification, since the pharmacy can't accept your word anyway. Total lack of customer services and initiative to do their job.

This place has gone to sh-it since CVS took over for Tidewater Pharmacy. I just stood in line for over 20 minutes, just to have the pharmacy say they've decided not to fill any NEW prescriptions until tomorrow so they can get caught up on their current prescriptions; even with another 6 hours before they're scheduled to close for the day. On top of the fact they now close 100% of the pharmacy every day for an hour so everyone can take a lunch, instead of separating out the lunch breaks for employees.

Not enough staff and abominable customer service. Waited 20 minutes at the drive-in window to drop off a prescription. When nobody came I went inside. I was the 9th person in line just waiting to drop off my prescription. After 30 minutes I left. It was time for them to close for lunch. I didn't wait to see if they helped those in line first.

This pharmacy location has to be the absolute worst I have ever encountered. This has happened to me more than once. I sit on the phone waiting for up to 30 minutes to speak to someone in the pharmacy. Someone picks up the phone and hangs up. When I have asked to speak to a manager. I sit on hold for another 30 minutes. Please do not get your prescription filled at this location. Pure incompetence at this store.

Worst place to go. Pharmacists here is Awesome! But one tech Kayleah here is the worst and should be removed from the store she is very rude. I went in to buy a nebulizer that they sell without a prescription and the Pharmacist was very helpful. As I was paying for it and other items. Kayleigh jumped up and said you can't sell it without a prescription. She was over powering and rude to the Pharmacist. Cvs's web site clearly says you can buy the machine without a prescription. But she argued to the Pharmacist that she can't sell it. She is the reason Cvs has a 1.7 star review. I am going to call corporate to notify them why they have a 1.7 review. Went in to pick up my prescription my doctor sent in 3 days prior. Was told it was placed on hold because they needed to order it. Said okay well order it. They said it would be there the next day. Called the next day and they said they put it back on hold because of the price. Claimed they tried to call me "2-3 times" and I didn't answer. I didn't have any calls so that was BS.Switching to Giant.

Absolute worst pharmacy. I called about 6 times today, could not get through to a single person. Was hung up on 3 times before anyone even said anything to me. I have one question that would only take minutes if someone would answer the phone. Switching pharmacies immediately.

The pharmacy I know is very short staffed. It's ridiculous when you drop off prescriptions on a Thursday and go and try and pick them up Monday for a surgery you are having on Wednesday. Then the actual pain medication you need is still not filled on Tuesday the day before surgery! No one followed up to make sure the insurance accepted the prescription. I call and visit the pharmacy to keep checking the status and each person blames they are short staffed and they didn't work the day I dropped off the prescriptions. 😡😡😡

I brought my family here today for some vaccinations. After waiting in a line with literally 13 people, we were directed to a waiting area near the vaccination booth. I have never seen such a disgusting work station in my life! There were lollipops and syringes occupying the same storage bin. There was an overflowing trash can with used medical supplies and a wide open biohazard sharps container. To top it all off there was even a used latex glove on the floor.Between the lack of cleanliness and the incompetent gentleman who couldn’t figure out how to validate our appointments, we opted to leave immediately. I do not recommend anybody visit this location for any medical related needs. There are also customer’s medications displayed in such a manner you can read names and the type of medication prescribed right on the bags. HIPAA violation anyone?

I remember being a few weeks post-partum and going through the drive through because I was NOT bringing my newborn into a pharmacy. I’ve said twice now that I have our baby with me and I don’t want to come inside. They do not care. They’ll say well then it’s going to be a while. It seems so rude how they do not care ONE bit. They will leave you sitting at the drive through window for as long as you’ll sit there for. They’ll ask you to come in no matter what time of the day it is. Something has to be done.

This is the absolute worse service I've ever had at retail/pharmacy. First they said that the prescriptions I dropped off would be a 3 hour wait! 3 hours! They were very rude. I came back 3 hours later only for them to tell me they weren't ready and to come back the next day. I called the next day no answer. I waited for a text or call and never got it. So I went up there days later and they were finally ready. They don't seem enthusiastic about their jobs at ALL. Although the pharmacist was nice, the entire staff were very sloppy and uppity. Tidewater in Charlotte Hall, I recommend if you live in this area. I only used this one because I was in the area visiting my elderly grandparents. I will never return or recommend this location to anyone. Oh yea and some local creep was following me around the store. They called him by his first name when he walked in the store. I don't know how St. Mary's operates but I felt very out of place and attacked. I won't go into detail but some other things occured this day. Always be kind and watch out for creepers and rude disgusting customer service. This is not the time to act in such a manner! Don't like your job or you are there just to harass customers, leave so someone else can have it that has respect for their customers..

This pharmacy "USED" to be the best, but it has steadily declined over the last few years. I understand that staffing is sometimes an issue and that's not what I'm speaking on. They NEVER bill my medications correctly anymore, its always an issue to get them to refill, they attempt to convince me that my coverage has changed when these are common maintenance meds that we've been on for years. Or they will bill generic vs brand when one is covered and the other isn't...stop changing the the meds, give me exactly what's been given for ages or look in the history because I'm not wrong you are. Stop trying to convince me that the OTC medication the the insurance covers isn't covered anymore because you're lazy or think you know better and won't even try. Just try, stop arguing, stop passing the buck, stop deflecting, and stop wasting my and your time.

This business is not a neighborhood pharmacy. Each time I come into this business I get attitude as if I am bothering them. Prescriptions called in days before that are not ready, each time I ask when I get excuses and then we are short staffed. I was given the wrong prescriptions before or told it was called in just to return later and it actually was there the entire time. The pharmacist was great but the entire team needs work. The covid set up at this location is confusing and also needs to be revisited again. CVS has never addressed any of my concerns.

Will purposefully ignore the phone (ive seen this happen while im in line). Will not follow up with doctors. I've been in line for a half hour only for them to turn me away when it was finally my turn because it's their lunch break. Hardly able to keep my medication in stock. If there happens to be a problem in filling your prescription, they will not notify you about it.

Every single day this week I’ve sat on hold for at least 10-15 minutes before anyone answers the phone & then they say myMeds are ready and I go and they have to be expedited and still get to wait I’d give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely worst cvs ever

Updated because I had to come here when Walgreens was giving me prescription troubles. Called here 25 minutes before closing and was told from someone from the pharmacy that I should call in the morning they are about to close. Mind you her English was very broken and she was hard to understand and I could tell frustrated she didn’t want to help me being so close to closing time. I asked politely if she could please get my info to get process started to transfer my sons prescription ASAP. She made me repeat my sons name so many times mispronounced it after I repeated his name over and over (not a hard name to) and than proceeded to tell me she would call in the morning and hung up on me!! Are you kidding me!! I know these are hard times to work in but it really breaks my heart how mean and rude people are now a days.I used to love CVS so when I saw one just 10 minutes from our home when we moved to the area I was very excited. This one has driven me nuts and really upsets me because of how much I used to love it before. First things first I feel awful because I can be a pain in the butt when it comes to saving money but my care pass number apparently wasn’t working to take my $10 off and I really couldn’t pay for my items without it. Unfortunately the deaf person up front couldn’t help me and he couldn’t understand my request call for someone to come help. I was out in a tough situation because I felt awful making a big deal but again couldn’t afford to pay for it. So I waited and waited and when she finally came up she was so mean and was no help at all and insisted I call customer service. Customer service told me they shouldn’t be having any issues they see my $5 has been taking out and the $10 should be applying to my card. This happened 2-3 months in a row. I finally ended up cancelling my account but I’m out $15 because of this.

prescriptions sent by hospital at 5 am were not processed until i got there.i tried to call before going there to check status. was on hold for so long that i gave up and drove to the store. customer service is non existent. they did not have 1 of my 2 prescriptions but didn’t tell me until i waited 30 minutes. i could’ve used that time to check other pharmacies, not another cvs, to have the script transferred. no discussion about what i should do to get the other med except a flippant “check other cvs stores”. ugh. i just got out of the hospital i wasn’t feeling like driving around southern maryland in search of the antibiotic. i told the dr at the hospital to send my prescriptions to walgreens in charlotte hall and she sent it to cvs. this is why i hate using cvs.

Worst place ever when you go in u sit in line fir 24 minutes or longer, they barely have what you need, can't ever get ahold of anyone on the phone, they sat they are waiting for authorization from your Dr but don't call and also have a years worth of refills but still won't fill it. If I could give e this a negative star rating I would. Worst ace I've ever been to I have switched most of our prescriptions to tidewater in Charlotte hall and when refills are out on the rest all of thwm will be switched there. I definitely don't recommend this trash place to anyone

This is the worst pharmacy in Southern Maryland. If there is a way to screw up your meds or insurance by God they will find a way. I believe they spend more time trying not to make something happen then actually finding a solution. They have zero communication skills. The Tech is good, she is their only saving grace. But still not worth my business. Do your self a favor and never use CVS Mechanicsville!

If I had the ability to give this CVS a 0 star review I would. I have bee hung up on and treated rudely one too many times. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy asap.
