On my 3rd visit to Avalon, my appointment was with Tony, but my nails were done by Nick, who had done my nails 2x before (I had requested someone different this time). This particular time, Nick was rushed - skipped steps (nail primer) - and refused a design of any kind (it was done the previous 2x). My nails are uneven (lengths), misshapen, and they look like I polished them myself. He still charged me full price - and even said “sorry” when I paid - to me an indication that he knew it wasn’t great work and that I wasn’t happy. I reached out to the salon in hopes someone would fix them - but the silence is another indication that they don’t care.Edit - After 3 days the gel polish is peeling off!

The staff was very engaging and very aware of the needs each and every customer had that walked through the door! The vibe and energy this salon has is SPOT ON! They know how to take care of you and the prices are very reasonable. So customer service 👍, cost ✅ and the quality of work 😀.

I decided to try out a new salon, I was excited because a coworker recommended this place for gel x. However I wish it was a better experience and quality for the price I paided. I made an appointment and still ended up waiting past the time. They did however give me a 10% off discount for waiting so I did appreciate that and wasn't in a rush. I got gel x nails, and while they did a decent job. They used the Beatles gel polish glue, something that's okay but easily found on amazon. It's only been 5 days and my left thumb and other fingers have popped off. I also have a few other nails starting to lift and isn't very secure. So I wouldn't recommend it for gel x but it might be nice if you do acrylic or just a simple polish!

Had my nails done by B. I came in for a fill, my nails needed a lot of repair from how they were originally done at another salon. I was truly impressed by how she straightened and made my nails look brand new. She took so much time prepping and shaping for which I was very grateful.I walked out feeling like my nails looked beautifully subtle and exactly what I wanted. The pictures/video don’t do the holographic French tips justice.

Went in for a pedicure and really enjoyed it! The salon is clean and nice inside. I liked the selection of pedicures to choose from. The guy who did mine was really nice and did a great job. I'll definitely be back!Update: I’ve been back multiple times for gel nails, acrylics, and gel X and every time, my nails look amazing! This is the only salon I’ve been to that is consistently good! Let me tell you this Avalon never disappoints THE BEST in the City!!! Atmosphere is great, from walking through the door in and out. I have walk-in and made appts and always been quick. Decent prices but let me put you onto someone ANDY IS THE MAN you want to book your appt with!! He takes his time to perfection. Sorry the sunlight doesn’t do it justice. Lighting different from inside my car and in my room.

My nails were pretty damaged and brittle from previous fill. Bebe took me in short notice. My nails got treated with collagen, rehydrated well, brittle nails cut out with care. This was my first and last time at Avalon. I went on a recommendation from a co-worker. I made appointments for myself and my husband for a pedicure. I received text confirmation for both appointments which I thought was great but problems started from here. We didn’t receive the people whom we had booked with upon arrival. Since I had never been to this salon before, this didn’t bother me as long as they did a good job. The pedicure I paid for included a callus remover. When I asked about this, why my cuticles weren’t pushed back, my toes were not cleaned underneath and why they didn’t use the scrubber for my toes, the man doing my toes got very nasty. He told me by law they can’t use the “cheese grater” and then proceeded to talk to his coworkers in Vietnamese for several minutes – clearly talking about me and making me feel super uncomfortable. When he started to paint my nails, I told him it was not the color I had chosen and once again he got nasty with me and talked to his coworkers about me in Vietnamese. I was very polite and nice all the way until the end. I even left a tip since it’s the right thing to do with any service you receive even though I was not happy with the job. My husband and I proceeded to say thank you and goodbye to the man who did my pedicure and rang up my bill. He refused to say anything to us so we said it again and once again he wouldn’t say a word back to us. Very very very bad experience. Horrible pedicure that was rushed and not done correctly. I was treated horrible and talked about right in front of my face. I remained polite and courteous the entire process. Not sure what happened to good customer service at this location. Micro aggressive attitude and treatment towards African American woman. Not to mention I’m pregnant about to give birth next week. I just wanted the chipped polish fixed that I got done the previous week by them. Unless you’ve experienced racism you wouldn’t know how it feels to be treated less than when you’re spending hard earn money like everyone else. I went into Avalon yesterday to repair my nails and get a full set. I had gone somewhere else prior and they were already lifting after a short time.. Let me say that this Salon is the Best! I was greeted and helped by Andy who was very professional with the removal of my old nails and with the entire procedure! I was unsure of what design I wanted, and he was more than happy to suggest. And I left withSuch beautiful, new Christmas nails!!! And a sweet little gift as well! Everyone is so friendly here! I recommend this salon highly! I’m a bigger guy and went in for a pedicure. When I tell you everyone in there was talking and I walked in and it got quite and they asked how can I help you and I told them I would like a pedicure the all started talking and the receptionist hesitated and after I signed in had me sit in the chair to start soaking my feet. After that there seemed to be an argument of who was going to do my pedicure. And then the receptionist asked does it matter if a male or female does the pedicure, I said no just would like one . When I tell you it seemed like I was rushed it was about 30 mins from sitting down to finsh. Spent all of 5 minutes cutting toe nails and trimming and asked for hot towels, I kid you not I got one hot towel for both legs. Felt very disrespected and I have been there several times before with no issues but today was very uncomfortable.Service: Men's manicures

Staff was extremely unwelcoming to the point where I felt uncomfortable being there. They always seem to be in a rush to finish your nails leading to mistakes. Overall bad experiences on multiple occasions after giving them multiple chances. Please take my advice and try another nail salon in the area! And now it has come out that they are racist lol makes a lot of sense!

Try a female tech. The male tech neglected basic services, such as removing glue from the skin, doing cuticles, and removing hair from a nail before curing it. At least he’s good at shaping nails..?
