We dropped our 8 month old Shepsky puppy off with Lauren and Sarah a little over a month ago. We could not be happier with the results and would highly recommend Country Life K9 Training!! We brought our newly trained Leia to downtown Annapolis yesterday - she did wonderful walking around the busy area with us and then sitting perfectly with us while we enjoyed lunch (picture included). We also often bring Leia to work with us and she is so well behaved - we put her in place when visitors come and she does great. Lauren and Sarah posts videos of your dog every day while they are away with them and on your graduation day they supply you with all the information you need to continue with the training work they have accomplished. We love how well our Leia behaves, especially when walking her and the place command. We will absolutely be using Country Life K9 Training in the future for boarding. #happy customers #happy Leia

Lauren is an amazing trainer, and was a perfect fit for my dog, Huck. She listened to what I most wanted to work on with him and really focused on those needs- Huck came home with great leash manners, great off leash recall, and excellent ability to hang out in public spaces. Something I really appreciated is that Lauren and Sarah posted tons of detailed video updates on Huck's progress- my family loved being able to see how he was doing and it helped me really understand what I needed to do with him when he got home. Most of all I felt like they really "got" Huck and genuinely cared about him- I felt great having him stay with them and was confident he was having a great experience.

I have to say we had the best experience with Country Life K9 Training! Our puppy Angus had some medical issues and still has dietary restrictions so we struggled to train him once all that started. Especially once the bunny season started - his instincts took off and I ended up being “walked and pulled” by my dog instead of the other way around.They took him in and took into consideration his specific needs and issues! He’s been home for a week now and I have to say we came face to face with 3 bunnies and he ignored them 😳!!! That’s huge!!!! Plus he walks so much better on the leash and behaves so much better in the house!Not only that, Country Life K9 is like a family! They kept us updated every step of the way by posting videos, photos and reels. They check in on him even now, and are there to advise and provide support as we are going through this training together! Best decision we ever made! ❤️🐶

Highly recommend training and boarding with Country Life K9 Training. We brought our golden retriever mix Maisy because we needed some help with her behavior. We have little kids in our house and we needed a jump start on training Maisy to stop counter surfing, jumping and running for the door. We couldn’t believe the results after her 3 week board and train! We even sent Maisy back for boarding while on family vacation. Lauren and Sarah do a terrific job and their attention to detail is next to none!

Truly in a league of their own - we did the 3 week board and train program and can't recommend it enough. We picked up our high-energy dog about 3 weeks ago and after a very brief adjustment period being back at home, is near perfect off-leash and obeys all commands on first attempt. Couldn't recommend this company more - run by super down to earth people who are nothing but kind and polite. 2 Massive thumbs up!

Sent my Aussie Flash to Country Life K9 based on a friend's recommendation. My dog would would pull and walk all over the place, sniffed and poop anywhere he wanted to, he would even do it in the middle of the roadway. After sending him to Lauren, he came back a well behaved dog. The investment into training my dog was definitely worth it. Both Lauren and Sarah did a great job with Flash. and always updated us regularly via Facebook and Instagram of their training progress. The biggest challenge is making sure that what he learned at camp can be retained at home. Luckily Lauren and Sarah are available to answer any training questions or issues that one has after they come home. Look them up, you will not be disappointed. Will definitely be using them for boarding in the future. Thank you Lauren and Sarah!

We can't say enough good things about Country Life K9 Training. As soon as we signed adoption papers for Noodle and before we had even met him, we got him on the training calendar. They did such a great job with our now 2 year old Vizsla, Hank, we knew we'd want Noodle on the same level.Noodle went to training at only 7 months old as a wild man who loved to play, smell and mark everything on walks, and cause mischief around the house. He now walks politely on his leash (even next to his favorite playmate Hank), relaxes all day during our workday, and is extremely reliable off-leash. Not only does he listen, but he LOVES to come when called and lay on his cot. We regularly get compliments for how well-behaved our dogs are and we enjoy the freedom of being able to bring them with us to dog-friendly stores and restaurants!

I have a hound/pittie female puppy who is a wild wild girl. She's very sweet, stubborn, and strong. She pulls on her walks, and jumps on everyone. She's so strong that I couldn't control her during our walks. Meeting Lauren was the best thing that happened to my family and Bella. We decided to send her for training and prayed that Lauren could fix her. I'm here to tell everyone that Lauren did an AMAZING job training Bella. We are so happy with the results. Now we can really enjoy walking her and taking her in public without any fear. I would recommend Country Life K9 Training to everyone I know.

We sent Deacon, our one year old English Bulldog, to the board and train program. He was sweet but very stubborn, didn't walk well on the leash and had very selective hearing. He is listening SO much better and is walking well without dragging us around. I was so worried about leaving him for three weeks but they post videos daily so you can see what they're working on and how much fun they're having. The videos are also super helpful to look back on at home to make sure you're keeping up with the training. I researched which training program I wanted to send Deacon to for so long and decided on Country Life K9 Training because I loved the videos and loved how they spoke to the dogs they were training. They correct them but they are so sweet and are constantly praising them when they're doing well. I'm so happy we sent Deacon here. Thank you so much Lauren and Sarah, you are amazing!

Country Life K9 Training did wonders not only for my dog, Rookie, but for me as well. Rookie is super smart and had pretty much all the basic commands down but lacked accountability and confidence. Sending him to see Lauren and Sarah was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Rookie is now held accountable and listens in every situation, not just when there are no distractions. By sending him here I’ve also learned some things I can do to help him better understand this crazy world we live in. I love that they post videos and pictures daily when they are training so you can see what they are working on. That also helped me to understand what I could expect when we got rookie back at the end of the training. Overall 11/10 and would recommend to anyone. Everyone that’s seen rookie after training has commented on how well behaved he is and I have Lauren and Sarah to thank for that!

If you need a dog trained this is the place! The owner, Lauren, is very responsive and helpful. She was always there to answer any questions I had. I had her train my overly anxious and reactive corgi, and the day he graduated he was a brand new dog! He is doing very well on the leash and with distractions.

We can't recommend Country Life K9 Training enough! We put both of our Golden Retrievers in the Basic Obedience Board & Train Program, and it was amazing to see the transformation in both dogs.Lauren discussed the pros and cons of training both dogs separately vs. at the same time, and we ended up doing their trainings separately back-to-back and we are very glad we did. This allowed us time alone with our younger dog who was more timid going into training and gained a whole new sense of confidence, and also learned how to fully trust us.Our older (and larger) dog had more bad habits going into the training because he had longer to develop bad habits. He was a classic example of *somewhat* knowing what to do, but thinking everything was optional, so it was very impressive to see how he responded to the added layer of accountability the training provided through the e-collar.We are so proud of them both and excited to be able to include them in more adventures that we know we wouldn’t have been able to before training. Lauren and Sarah are the absolute best, and we wish we would have done this sooner!

Our one year old mini aussie spent three weeks with Lauren and came back a different dog. He pulled constantly on walks, jumped and didn't know how to contain his energy meeting new people and dogs. Lauren did a great job with videos during the stay and the entire family followed in IG so we knew how to work with him when he returned home. He was a completely different dog after three weeks! We can take him on walks now without him pulling our arms off, he rarely jumps and if he does a quick correction reminds him how to behave. His actually listens when you call him to you and it's given him more freedom to be out in the yard with us. All of the tools she gives you are so useful and I can't recommend her enough!

Look no further, you have found your dog trainer! You will not regret working with Lauren and Sarah. Our 4-year old small munsterlander, Meeka, just completed the 4-week behavior modification course to address her high anxiety and leash reactivity.Meeka is a hunting dog with a high prey drive. She thrives with off-leash commands when bird hunting with my husband, but leash walking has always been a struggle. During walks she would stalk small animals and was extremely leash reactive towards other dogs, bicycles, scooters, and even golf carts.It was difficult to find a trainer that understood our needs from both the hunting and everyday dog training perspective…until we met with Lauren and Sarah. They understood the balance we were looking for. Sarah had experienced similar challenges to what we were facing with her own hunting dog, a wiredhaired pointer. It helped immensely to have a trainer who understood the needs of a hunting dog.Highlights of working with Country Life K9 Training:-Detailed pre-training prep. We felt prepared and at ease with dropping Meeka off at Lauren’s home on the first day.-Videos and photos of training throughout the week. We loved seeing Meeka and the other pups progress!- Lauren is one of the best communicators and teachers I’ve ever met. She is clearly a professional, skilled trainer due to years of experience working with animals, but also knows how to break down each command in a way that’s easy to understand for owners.The results have been nothing short of transformational for our family. Meeka’s anxiety level has dropped dramatically. She still has her prey drive and has not lost her hunting training, but everyday walks are much more enjoyable for all of us! This training was so worth the investment. We are grateful to Lauren and Sarah for the time, effort, and attention they put into working with Meeka!

I can’t recommend them enough. My dog Jackson had horrible behavior issues. Such as jumping on people, extreme leash reactivity, demand barking in the house, not being able to settle, extreme separation anxiety and many more. I also have a baby so it was crucial that he is safe to be around. I was honestly thinking about rehoming him when someone suggested trying country life k9. I’m so glad we gave Jackson to their 4 week board and train. He came back a different dog. He listens to me and does as told. Walks are actually fun now and I can make sure dog and baby are separated because he will follow my commands. He even stopped demand barking and is able to relax. So so thankful for Lauren and Sarahs program.

My 2yr old German shepherd use to use my sofa as a trampoline, wasn't reliable with commands, and would pull me so hard to the car he would cut his paw pad! They have done wonders with him and I can not thank them enough. I followed Lauren and Sarah's training on Facebook for a long time. I love their videos because of how informative they are! I've learned so much from them. I really can't say enough good things about them!

We used Lauren and Sarah for a 4 week board and train for our reactive beagle. He came back a much better dog. He’s so much more relaxed and listens the first time you tell him do something. Walking him now is a breeze and she provided us the tools and knowledge to continue our success going forward. We look forward to being able to provide a more fulfilling life for him. He’s already been on a few adventures in the first week hes been home that we never would have been able to do prior. He was in great care there and will be excited to go back for future boarding with them!

Lauren and Sarah are phenomenal! We have Maggie, the 5 year old Boxer mix and before Country Life K9 Training she was stubborn and difficult to control outside of the house. She had a bunch of bad habits we had let develop and couldn't trust her around other dogs. She constantly barked at the door and was a disruption to family life.Since her training she has been wonderful. She heels very well on walks, can be trusted off leash in contained situations, and barks significantly less and is continuing to improve. I love being able to take Maggie out and know that she will listen and obey commands. Lauren taught us how to continue the training so we are able to reinforce everything she learned and work on different behaviors. I cannot recommend Country Life K9 Training enough! It was worth every penny.

To say that Lauren is a miracle worker would be an understatement. When we took our 1 year old Australian Shepherd, Lucy to Lauren, she came with issues a mile long. Anxiety ridden, constantly pacing in and out of the house, pulling on the leash, lunging and barking at people and dogs, and counter surfing to name just a few. She had gotten out of the house a few times and even jumped up on a jogger on our street. We were at our wits end and I honestly thought we might not be able to keep her. Well, after a 4 week training session (and a couple follow up lessons), we have a new and improved dog! Lucy has a whole new set of manners, such as coming when called, going to "place" and heeling. In addition to that, she has come home a calmer and more affectionate dog. She still battles some anxiety and we are working through some leash reactivity with other dogs, but we are leaps and bounds from where we were! Lauren and Sarah have given us the tools and training to enjoy many years to come with Lucy. They care just as much about your dog's success as you do. If you have a dog that needs training, Country Life K9 Training is who you need!!!

Lauren is the best. Prior to her training, my labs were dangerous to walk. Pulled me down. Totally distracted. I was avoiding other dogs on the few walks I did take them on. I have had them home for a little over a week. I feel very comfortable walking each of them now. I do not avoid passing other dogs on the street.My labs are much more calm and have learned to feel secure with me. Calm.Its been a life changer for me. AND my dogs.They were/are overweight due to lack of exercise. We are able to get out together now.Lauren really cares and is very responsive if I have questions after her training them.Honestly the best thing I have done for myself and my pups ever.

My dog Zeus had so much fun there and Lauren and Sarah provide daily update pictures and videos on their social media platforms. I can not recommend them enough! My family had a great and rewarding experience with Lauren and Sarah from Country Life K9 Training. Our puppy Arya was just a year old and she joined our family during the COVID-19 pandemic. She didn’t have much socialization at all and was very difficult to take her for walks without her dragging you down the street. She also wasn’t very polite and would jump on everyone, take the kids socks and hide under the bed, and counter surf and steal food. Overall, she was a very reactive dog to other people and animals resulting in constant barking and lunging. I happened to see Lauren out training two other dogs that were so well behaved and got her information and filled out the questionnaire. We enrolled Arya in the board and train program and she came back home a completely different dog. We as a family had to work hard to follow the same training regimen that was provided in our follow-up lesson. As with anything when they come home back in their old environment they try their luck with falling back into old habits. As Lauren and Sarah say, consistency is key and making sure the entire family is implementing the skills the same way every time. We are so grateful to Country Life K9 training. ☺️ This whole experience has really improved our family dynamic and quality of life with our dog Arya. Now we can walk her off leash with her ecollar, we can take her more places with us when we’re out and about with our kids, she reliably responds to commands, and she is well behaved with proper manners in and outside of the house. Lauren and Sarah have also helped to equip me with the skills to be more confidant when I walk her so she knows I’m the leader and feels comfortable that I have everything handled. If you’re considering an excellent dog training program this one is definitely a winner! It’s been life changing.

Lauren trained our dog a rescued poodle mix who was 6 years old. We did the two weeks and dropped her off and picked her up at the end with a training session. Lauren was available by phone several times after to answer questions which was very helpful. She sent videos and updates the whole time. Our dog as sweet as she is had many issues. She wouldn’t respond to her name, she would run off and not come back and she barked all the time. Since she is not food motivated doggy we were at a lost at how to properly make her listen. After going with Lauren she was a different doggy. When she originally came home she had a E-collar on, we have worked with her and now she hardly wears it. And when she does we hardly use it. It’s more a reminder not to fall into old bad habits. I love most that Lauren taught us how to give commands and what to do to make her listen and she does them right when we ask. I wish I could send my husband and kids there for 2 weeks!!! 🤣.

My three year old rescue German Shepherd is a whole new dog!! Cannot say how happy that he went from a space in the door runaway, devil dog, shoe, book, pillow chewer into a treat to be with. I was worried that he’d comeback from training a robotom but when I “release” him from control he is every bit the quirky crazy dog I love. I found out about Lauren through my cousin, who had her own dog in Laurens training program, so I reached out and put my 1 1/2 year old Bernedoodle, Gracie on her schedule. Gracie is a super friendly, high energy, very intelligent dog, but lacked self control when out for walks and in public settings. She pulled on the leash, would get overly excited when passing other dogs and kids, would only come when she felt like it, and had a strong herding instinct that would scare small children. Gracie stayed with Lauren for 2 weeks and when I picked her up and had my hour “learning lesson” with them, I was so excited at Gracie’s transformation. I have kept up with commands and as a result, I can walk her off lead, recall her and always have her come when I call her. She does still have her herding instinct, but because of her training, I can now recall her, put her in a down and let her take a break when she gets out of control. I am so grateful that I found out about Lauren and enrolled Gracie with her for training.

Could not recommend Lauren and Sarah more! They took our wild man Max - yellow lab - at a year and 3 months and turned him into a well behaved gentleman that we love taking with us when we go out. We always get compliments on how well-behaved he is for his age. Max will be boarding with them soon and we’re so thankful to have a place that’s close and that we feel 100% comfortable leaving him in their more than capable hands.
