A friend of mine swore by this place, and I was not disappointed. We had impeccable service, and our waitresses was extremely friendly. We were there for lunch on a Sunday, and it fills up quickly. The most surprising thing to me as a Louisianan was the crab cakes. They weren't as spicy as ours down here, but they were really, really good. 👌🏻

Due to my military career, I hadn't been to G & M in about 15 yrs... the renovated restaurant is fabulous. The food is still fantastically flavorful. We order Crab 🦀 Cakes, Pork Chops, open face hot turkey sandwich, Chicken Parmigiano, & Linguini with Garlic & White wine shrimp.This was a GREAT meal! I'm so glad to be able to take my family with me to have this food experience.

Great menu with a wide selection of seafood options. The wait staff assigned to our table had her hands full so the service wasn't as quick as it might have been. The atmosphere was convivial and classy, with proper silverware and cloth napkins. It is a restaurant that invites one to linger, to enjoy a leisurely meal and to relax.The restaurant also offers a huge variety of desserts and post prandial aperatifs. Highly recommended!

I've been going to this establishment for over 20 years. The food is delicious. I normally get the crab cake sandwich meal. The crab cakes are pure lump crab meat, and they dont have a lot of bread filling.The establishment has changed ownership over the years. The current ownership has changed the vibe of the establishment in a bit of a negative way. It isn't as lively anymore and very much on the stiff side now. If you call ahead and put your name on the wait list, you have to be there within 25 minutes. The restaurant doesn't allow you to make reservations. The new ownership has also stopped doing military discounts. The parking is limited here. There is parking around back. The restaurant also ships crab cakes around the country. I would recommend this restaurant.

Our server was attentive and polite. We were able to order and enjoy foods in expected time. The server offered to take pictures of our party, which was great too. The crab cakes are one of the best I've had - and I am a seafood lover. Also loved how the restaurant offered various options for pasta entrées, but wish they offered some more options for pasta noodles other than linguini/lasagna/ravioli. The garlic bread that comes with pasta entrées was really good.

Took a party of 7 to G&M on a Friday night without reservations. Luckily it was only a 25 minute wait.The place is known for its crab cakes, however, no one ended up with a crab cake as an entree but we did get the crab cake sliders as an appetizer. Good crab cakes but the mustard and mayo are equal to the crab flavors. The calamari was delicious.I ended up with the spicy seafood pasta (a diavolo) and it was surprisingly spicy. I love spicy and normally "restaurant spicy" isn't really much at all, but, this dish brought the heat and it was perfect.All other diners said their food was cooked perfectly. No complaints here, very delicious. Service was attentive.

Best place to eat crab cakes, and if you love New England Clam Chowder, then this place is amazing. First time here on a friend's recommendation, and he did not disappoint. It was worth the trip from Virginia to Baltimore because that's where our flight was leaving from. 5 Star service all the way around. Can't wait to return later this year! Thank you G&M! We were there 12/23 around 3:30p and surprisingly it wasn’t very busy. Ordered Crispy Zucchini Chips as appetizer, special Stuffed Rockfish entree and husband got 2 Crab cake entree. Brought out two yeast rolls first. Appetizer arrived like warm and there was nothing crispy about them - this was after about 45 min. It was 80 minutes before waitress came over to tell us my Rockfish was given to someone else who had eaten it, lol. Another 20 min before we finally got entrees. The crab cakes were good as was were the garlic herb mashed potatoes. The sauce on the Rockfish was only on the crab cake it was wrapped around so the crab cake was wet and the fish as dry. Rarely saw waitress which is probably why she didn’t catch it any sooner. Gave us a free $5 dessert. We had water to drink. Meal cost $105 plus tip. We’d been there maybe 10 years ago and remembered fondly. Don’t think I’d go back - would try a different place next time we wanted crab cakes.

Great spot near the BWI Marriott we stumbled across while we were staying for the night prior to a morning flight for vacation what amazing crab cakes! BIG and delicious made the mistake of getting the dinner as the mere mortal spots I have been give you two meniscal cakes not here these things are 8oz each I think it was more but that’s what our amazing waitress said and the biggest lump crab cake I’ve ever placed on my palate! If you have never been here go and indulge the only reason I gave it 4 was the ambiance a bit old school but nothing against the service and food.

Folks come from miles away to feast on G&M's GINORMOUS crab cakes!We are lucky enough to live 'in the neighborhood', so we typically get carry-out to avoid the crowds. Our go-to's are the crab cakes [not cheap, but worth it...considering one = 2 portions]. I have yet to find bigger or better, and this IS the crab cake state! The firecracker shrimp & shrimp/chicken alfredo deserve honorable mentions.Note: don't come for the sides. ;)

The food was great. The service was great. I haven't been to Baltimore in some years. This place will not let you down at all. Everything that I ate was great, flavorful. I got the Bake Crab Imperial. Now, this is a work of art to your taste buds it has like this mustard flavor that blends great south the crab meat. Oh, my appetizers were Osters on a half shell were good, but the Mussels in the garlic wine sauce oh my goodness. I had to use the shell of from the mussel to drink the garlic wine sauce 😁. Over all my experience at this restaurant was fantastical. A definite must try!!

Visited Baltimore for a funeral, and family had been bragging about this place. Quite pricey. I almost went with something basic, until someone suggested you don't come to Baltimore and eat something you can get in SC, so I went with the stuffed shrimp. So glad I did, I had to call my family in the south and tell them what they're missing. We had a large order not even sure how they prepared it so fast, but there was no wait and food was great as I said. Definitely dinning here the next time I'm home. Man the food was good!

Great seafood restaurant, my family loves coming here.Everything is delicious. I've had the cream of crab and the onion soup. They're both phenomenal. The crab cakes look like baseballs, they are huge! And delicious. The crab stuffed shrimp and oysters are the bomb. Not only have I returned, we've been back more than a few times and we always enjoy ourselves. Top notch service, our waitress was super kind and efficient. The bathrooms are clean and the bar is immaculate. The cocktail I had was made with peanut butter and jelly Flavored liquor, but it was surprisingly enjoyable. 10 out of 10 for me.

Purchased a Napoleon that was priced @ 3.95, receipt stated 4.95. I was informed that the price is what ever is in the system. Spoke with Dmitri the General Manager who was not friendly. I mentioned the difference in the price but was cut off saying the price is 4.95. Every time I started talking, he cut me off. Finally I stated it would be nice for an apology or honor the posted price. He stated that he had no control over his employees and that I need to take my business else where. Where is G&M Customer Service? G&M would rather lose a patron over a dollar vs an apology.

I’m always on the hunt for great crab cakes in the area and G&M lives up to its claim of “Worlds Best”! Their jumbo crab cakes are packed full of fresh flavor and leave you feeling very full. The surprise show stealer was the desserts though. My table ordered a variety of cheesecakes and everyone agreed they were the best they’ve had in forever with an even more amazing cheap price!

I came to G&M once before and the service and food during that visit was top notch. The customer service was great, our waiter was attentive and offered plenty of helpful suggestions, I raved about this place.Fast forward to Saturday 12/9 - I bought my family along since we were in the area & they wanted to try G& M after I spoke so highly of the restaurant.I ordered the seafood platter, the potatoes were hard, cold and tasted as if they were poorly made boxed potatoes. The flounder, scallops and asparagus were cold. My mom had a single crab cake meal and pulled out shell after shell from her crab cake - her potatoes and green beans were cold and she was less than pleased. My stepdad ordered the double crab cake meal and didn’t touch his broccoli as it was cold and barely steamed. We ordered the zucchini chips and they were cold and soft.My parents were not pleased and I was embarrassed I offered such a unsatisfying meal after such a long day. Totally disappointed in my experience this time around.

Food was great. Service was mediocre. The Maryland crab cake and crab dip was to die for. The seafood pasta was also amazing. The grilled oysters are something you will want to try. They are lightly grilled/broiled and topped with lemon, butter and garlic.However, we struggled to get a refill on our drinks and when the busy time died down our server was more concerned about completing her closing duties than waiting on us. We waited an extraordinary amount of time to get a doggie bag and the check. Is it too much to ask to be waited on for the $20+ tip that the servers expect? I expect more than just taking my order, bringing my food and refilling my water once. How about stopping by the table once or twice? Sorry, but every place wants to take your money but service and ambiance are just not part of the dining experience any longer.Overall the food was great but I don't know if I will go back due to the service.

On a trip visiting family in Baltimore area, my wife always looked forward to stopping by her favorite crab cake restaurant. Always the best crab cakes she has ever eaten. Bit of a drive from her brother’s farm near the PA line, but well worth it. We arrived about 7:00 PM on a Tuesday and parking lot was packed but after a couple circles we caught a car leaving.We had called ahead and made a reservation, a must for dinner. Only about a 10 minute wait, we were just a bit early. Drinks were ordered and we had tough decisions, everything looked great. My wife chose the 2 Crab Cake Platter with 1 Cake and Baked Potato. Her brother and his wife would split the same Platter with 2 cakes, Baked Potato and Side Salad. I opted for the Seafood Platter with broiled Shrimp, Scallops, Flounder, 2 Stuffed Oysters and Asparagus side. I also asked for the 6 Raw Oyster plate to share with sis-in-law.After awhile, and munching on warm bread, the salad and oysters came. Salad was cold and crispy. Oysters were briny and delicious. We decided 6 were not enough and ordered another plate!Another short wait and our meals came. I remember the Crab Cakes from two years ago were large, but they are HUGE. And all exclaimed how they are THE best anywhere. My Shrimp and Flounder were very good and the Scallops were perfectly cooked. But the Stuffed Oysters were amazing! I thought they would be stuffed with dressing but they were stuffed with Shrimp & Crab! Heaven.We decided to pass on dessert since sis-in-law had baked a Carrot Cake - my fav. No diet here!! Food was excellent, service was great and food delivery was fairly quick given the crowd there. A bit pricier than other seafood places but well worth it. If you like seafood, you must try it. I’d give 6 stars if I could. Definitely be a place to visit every time we’re in the area.Parking: Big parking lot but place gets crowded at dinner

Disappointed, they made my food wrong and they went back and use the same seafood covered in tomato sauce and put it in a white lobster sauce and gave it back to me. So the seafood had been cooked twice and had pieces of tomato sauce and a white cream lobster sauce.At the table for 15 minutes before anyone came up. Overall I would not come back

Have not been here in a while. We were a group of 10.Parking still hit and miss! Soup was very salty even for crab soup.Crab cake was generous in portion but tasted bland.Los of issues with Bill! Which put a damper on purpose of visit.Side salads good size and good variety. Other sides most of us felt were boring in taste.
