This is the only place I will ever go from now on. The staff the facility was wonderful. It's been almost 1 month since we adopted our boy chance from there and their descriptions of him were spot on. 12/10 recommend this place to any one looking to donate, adopt, or even just goto to hang out with the animals.

Had a cat who came to my door injured and needing a place to stay out of the weather. I had him warm and safe and comfortable with plenty of food and cleaned his paw as best as I can the whole weekend.The shelter picked him up and took care of his injured paw. I have several animals and they did not like the new addition. I called later to see how he was and he wad doing better. I miss the little guy so I am hoping to adopt him on Friday when they open. Staff were polite, professional and very helpful. Thank you for taking care of the little guy.

I know frist hand that management is no good there and that there has been animals put down that shouldn't have been. Manager have been knew to yell and be rude. And they only feed once a day when most these dogs and cats came off the road not being feed. They have a doctor that let this place used there license that's never there or has a clue what happens there and the county HR is no help if your not Friendly's with Manger you get fired. Manger can post online Making fun of others too and nothing happens.The county job should be a great place to work but not with the good old boy system it's not far to other .

We decided to adopt a dog and the staff has been fabulous. We came and saw her every day and they couldn’t have been nicer to us. They truly seem to like their jobs and love the animals in their care.

I surrendered my dog because it became difficult for me to keep her with a newborn. One of the workers assured me that I would be able to check on her and her progress, however when I called “one of the managers” told me she couldn’t tell me anything about my dog “because she isn’t my dog anymore”. Very rude and unprofessional because I didn’t give my dog away because I don’t love and care for her and want the absolute best for her, but because it was becoming too much with a brand new baby.

This shelter is the best contribution to St. Mary's County! Just picked up my new addition. The whole experience was fabulous! Kitty is neutered and all current on all vaccs Wonderful experience!

Such a good place for our animals! Friendly staff. Really nice facility. I’m grateful St. Mary’s county has a place now, where our animals without a home can find a loving home. Spread the word so more people know it’s here for us!

We just picked up the newest member of our family a Shih tuz mix, the staff was fantastic, so kind and caring and you can tell they love what they do. The center was so nice. Thank you for our new little boy, we are already in love with him

They just opened about a couple weeks ago so they're still in the process of getting settled, but we had a very pleasant experience here. The kennels were all very clean, as was the rest of the building. The staff was very friendly and informative as well.

Adopted Rosie the pig from them. Seamless and easy adoption. They took great care of Rosie until we were fortunate enough to adopt her. Looking forward to working with them again to save another shelter animal.
