This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Immediately upon entering, the entire lobby smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The rooms were dirty and had an aroma that can best be described as grape soda that was spilled on the floor and left there, mixed with wet dog. Neighbors were loud and cooking some sort of chicken curry which added to the unpleasant smell. Second day here, a torrential thunderstorm moved through the area, and water was pooling up against the wall on the first floor. Any more rain, and the room probably would have flooded.

I used this location for a work trip spanning over 2 months and it has been nothing short of hospitable. The rooms were exactly what I needed for my stay, and they made many accommodations for me and any problem I could even worry about was taken care of. I was always greeted by name and management makes sure all front desk staff are privy to who is who staying in the hotel and it makes me feel very comfortable knowing they are on top of their game. I will absolutely stay here again whenever I am in town.

Horrible rooms! Everything is ala carte - no shampoo, conditioner or hair dryer. You have to take out your own trash or be charged extra. If you want another towel you have to pay for it. Phone didn't work and the ONE elevator was out of order most of the time I was there. I had to set ac to 62 to get the room cooled off and the only fan speed that worked was low. The room was outdated (didn't even have a USB port) and the bed was so low that it practically sat on the floor. It does have a small kitchenette but if you want to use pots/pans, you have to pay an extra $20 and $40 for plates or utensils. Highly recommend finding something else!

You tell me what star rating would you give if your 3 month reservation received this experience:I accepted a position that involved a relocation to Maryland. The reservation representative was outstanding besides the fact I was not informed just of the $100 deposit added to the initial check in that included 1 weeks rent and a $100.00 refundable deposit. The payment process was initiated but couldn’t finalize because I was short the deposit fee but explained I had a check deposited and was waiting for it to clear I expressed this to the front costumer service check in representative and that I had 600 in cash which they do not accept on the reservation check in date.My car was packed with cloths, bed ware and necessities. I was basically told I couldn’t check in. Moving from another State there was no other option or reasoning for my situation as I asked what are my options? I received a smirk shrugged shoulders and that’s it.I spoke with a friend and he suggested to cancel the reservation for the night rebook a room for the night at the going rate, which I had enough in my account to do. So, after speaking with my friend, I went inside and told the representative this is what I would want to do andduring the course of her running the charge, my deposited check had cleared and I was able to move forward per the reservation confirmation. As the process was almost complete, I told the representative that the money just cleared and we can stick to the confirmation reservation. Because she was not able to figure out how to give me the rate that was on the initial confirmation reservation. I paid twice the money I had to then within five seconds of me getting into the room I received a call to rate the room or review the room. I didn’t say call back later I didn’t do it. I just said everything was OK. My question is where was the customer service? Maybe I was asking a lot to pay with cash but I figured they could’ve held a couple hundred dollars in cash till the next day and move forward with the reservation and make customer happy so he didn’t have to sleep in a car, full with clothes and living necessities. During all of this, I had stepped out to smoke a cigarette away from the building when I came back in the representative said I better not smoke in the room or I will smell it and kick you out. That made me feel comfortable, relaxed and ready to start a new job in a new state don’t you think?Over 5 days ago I reported my refrigerator was not keeping temperature and that I had chipped away the ice away from the compressor on the inside, cleaned it out so it can breathe and hopefully that would fix the problem but it did not. And yes you’re correct it’s still is not fixed five days after the fact of it being reported. Then, after doing my own due diligence with cleaning cleaning the entire place and keeping it clean, I noticed a roach come out of the cabinet no food it’s cleaned out then later that evening, I open my dresser drawer and two roaches came out. I am reading this now as I get ready to sleep in my car because this particular property does not accept cash after the initial check-in for charges corporate policy was stated to me from two different representatives that I called earlier this evening. One more thing you can’t purchase gift cards or reloadable gift cards After midnight at any convenience store.

Takieya(manager) is there to provide a welcoming stay and if something is off, she's there to make it right. Jashayla(front desk) keeps a smile. Jacqueline(front desk), is very professional and patient. Alexandria(front desk) is bubbly and provides and upbeat spirit. Mr. Melvin(Maintenance) gotta be the most busy person on the property. Always taking care of something and its noticeable when its his off days. 2nd hardest worker I think name is Josh(Maintenance/laundry). Chief has a system of cleaning rooms to standard and stays on top of it. IFor the most parts, there are no complaints. wi-fi is pretty reliable . The location is quiet and doesnt have riff raff in hallways or outside of property. Often times there's a patrol unit in the parking lot after hours to ensure safety and comfortability of all residents and guest. All of the staff seem solution-based. If there is an issue or if something needs to be addressed, they all make your priority their priority and will accommodate when applicable.

Edit: 8 months into staying here.I know it seems strange to stay in a hotel long term like this, but I really don't mind the living accommodations and the price point for what I get, especially not having to deal with other people that often. However, as my stay has continued I have experienced some unpleasantries that I have finally been asking to be resolved, namely the hotel's Wi-Fi. I am an avid gamer/online person, and being on Wi-Fi obviously isn't the best for gaming, but most Wi-Fi setups that I have ever come across in hotels are not as terrible as this one is for gaming or even watching content.I have brought up the fact that the internet service for me is having some real issues with connectivity, I temporarily lose connection for around 8 seconds, which when playing any online game can ruin your experience. I also work from this hotel sometimes and even my Teams meetings will get disconnected or stop working.I contacted the front desk and they basically told me it was probably something on my end. I asked for their ISP phone number so I could ask someone who might know more and the ISP basically told me that they couldn't do anything for me. Every single one of my devices that I own that is connected to the Wi-Fi all disconnect at the same time, so unless all my devices are bad, there is something wrong with the way the hotel's traffic is being handled.Having one of your only hobbies be ruined isn't very appealing. It would be similar to if you liked reading but every few minutes someone grabbed the book out of your hands while you were in the middle of a great part of the book.I shall be lowering my review of this hotel's service and overral rating until such time as I see something resolved.-----------------------------------------------------The location and staff are amazing for what I need. They are always able to help when I need assistance with anything related to my stay. The rooms could be a bit nicer, for example if they had more amenities like an oven / small dishwasher. The water pressure is also lacking, so doing the dishes in the sink is problematic sometimes, as well as the shower. For the price, the stay is very comfortable. The pricing basically beats out any of the equal quality apartments that you can find in the area too, so I have enjoyed staying here while I look for other opportunities for permanent housing.

I’m not even sure if Extended Stay Lex Park is creditable for 1 star.March 7th I arrived here after booking a room online to be held and ‘paid at property’ I arrive at 5:15pm & payment was not going through. So I go on Expedia and pay for room. $100 deposit was still needed. I had funds. Plenty. Denied. Went to CVS got prepaid credit card, denied, went back and got prepaid debit, denied. I was back and forth from 5-10:30 and finally asked for manager owner someone besides the little girl at desk and was told she lives on grounds and no one was available! WHAT! 19 weeks pregnant and not from around and lost out on 2 nights stay $$$ because why? Pure craziness!

I was coming from North Carolina to attend the SIU academy and this hotel is so so nasty and you have to paid for everything I mean everything. They told me if I wanted extra linen I had to pay for that on top of I had to pay for eating utensils and the key pad didn’t work. The people at the front desk told me I had to stop at their desk every time so they can let me in my room. They really don’t deserve a one star but if I was on vacation I would have not stayed there but it was business and only for one night. They bolt everything down it’s a drug hotel you can tell that.Rooms: Nasty rooms not that clean but it service the purpose for that night

Customer Service is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms aren't meant to be 5 Star, they are clean, comfortable, quiet, and equipped. Two most important things are Quiet, and the WIFI always works. They don't knock on your door every ten minutes and it's walking distance from the gate.Rooms: Always clean and enough space, and storage.Walkability: Much easier than getting am UBER or Door dash than staying on base.

Absolute worst stay of my life, online shows check in till 11. Drove 8 hours for an event arrived at 10:15 and the front desk was closed. After an hour on the phone with corporate I was left to sleep in my car. Tried to re check in around 9 but the desk does not open on Saturday till 10am, staff who was working gave us attitude about checking and when we asked questions "I don't do that and they're not here." After the front desk opened I tried to check in only to be told "were sold out" after much back and forth we were told there is a room but you cant check in till 3pm. Eventually we were allowed to check in early but not without a fee. The "new" room rate was higher than my previously booked rate. The room itself seemed dirty and wasn't great but a place to sleep. I would steer clear of this hotel at all costs.

Well-managed, clean, comfortable, and affordableI just landed my first job at Patuxent River, am new to the area, and this is exactly what I needed for my transition. The grounds are well-manicured and well-kept. All of the staff members were warm, friendly, and attentive.Kitchenette with ample counter space—made good use of this for a week's worth of meal-prep, plus it was great being able to wash my dishes in a proper sink (rather than the bathroom sink in other hotels)Full-sized refrigerator/freezer unit—the freezer space was actually more than sufficient to store my prepped meals. The AC/heating unit operates/runs great and isn't too close to the bed.Clean bed with pillows, both soft and firm-thoughtful touchNearby activities: close to Solomons Island with lots of great gym optionsSafety: secure quiet location, but it was still nice to see security roving even after sunset

Worse than a motel 6.smelled old, carpet looked soiled, woodwork dinged up, bedding dingy, thin bedspread, poor lighting, not even a way to get or make coffee, only one tiny bar of soap, no disposableor other cups to even brush my teeth. I left as soon as I could knowing I had to forfeit the second of my two night stay. Terrible experience.

Website offerings don't match what's ACTUALLY available in person. (Said coffee and grab and go breakfast available but upon entry, they have neither.) Upon check-in, the ladies were very nice (5 stars nice) but started telling me the costs for everything extra. It was a lot. Extra for this. Extra for that. My room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom left much to be desired. It was a handicapped bathroom, which is fine, however, the tub wouldn't plug so I couldn't take a bath. The shower head wouldn't stay up (see photo) so I couldn't take a proper shower. The faucet was loose and there were (not very good) patched holes in the walls. The area was indeed quiet, and I was worried it wouldn't be, being right by the AFB.Also, don't make any calls from the room or you'll be charged, even an attempt will cost you!

The room was run down and had a foul odor. The room reminded me of a 1970 horror movie. Holes in the carpet, all fixtures in the bathroom were barely hanging on. Not a pleasant place to stay. Will not recommend to anyone. Tried calling front desk to get a receipt, waited 10 minutes on hold, only to be told it would be sent out later. Three hours later I called back, 12 times over the span of an hour and no one would answer. Called reservations and finally found a person who could assist. Very disappointing. Sleep in your car under a bridge before visiting this hotel.

This location charged me for the room but would not allow me to check in because they close the attendant window after 10pm. I arrived to find out that after 10pm they charged me for the stay but since I arrived after 10 there is no staff member that could provide a room. I’m stuck in my car with a $100+ charge with no means of showering and preparing myself for the next day. This location is foolish. I have never been to a hotel that did not provide 24 hour check in and security. I understand if I was late charge me but not providing a room is bad business. This is a lack luster location and even worse leadership when it comes to decision making. I will never return here and will convince my colleagues to follow suit. This was an awful experience. Plus on maps they represent themselves as a 24 hour facility. What a joke!!! Be aware - I have to sleep in my car. Horrible place!!!

I’ve stayed here multiple times since 2017. The last time I stayed here in 2020, housekeeping stole my wedding ring and when I called them about it they told me I was lying. Literally, the only reason I stayed here again was because the hotel was under new management and I didn’t have a choice because my company forces me to use the lowest possible rate. The only reason this hotel gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Heather. She was professional and even offered to call my room once I was in it to make sure everything was fine. She did call, and at the time everything was fine. Once I settled in I got dishes from the front desk. I wanted to wash them before I used them, because, who wouldn’t? My sink leaked and I had no hot water. I reported it to the front des k and showed them pictures of my floor taking on water. They took my complaints down on a piece of paper. I go to check out the next day because my floor was soaked. The front desk attendant/manager seemed put out by my complaint. She didn’t want to see the pictures of the flooded floor or leaking plumbing. She was terse and unprofessional. If it wasn’t for Heather, I would have left that night and found a different hotel.

We came down to visit family who lived close to hotel (12 minutes) it was a 4 1/2 hour drive that turned into 7 from NJ. I dropped my family off at the BBQ, I drove to hotel to check in. I wasn't able to get that done because the other guests weren't present. Why do everyone's ID has to be seen? The reservation was under my name. Then when I got the IDs it still took destiny almost 1 hour to check me in. Later on I brought my wife back to hotel, she fell & injured herself pretty bad. There was no one on staff working that could help , when I returned she couldn't get in the front. The keys weren't working, they finally worked on a side door, we finally got upstairs. Then I drove her to ER to get medical attention. Very trying day 😓 but thank God she will be OK

I woke up early and am reading reviews. Wow. Bad. I wouldnt have stayed after seeing these reviews. I can say my room is old and beat. There are clamps hanging off the bathroom sink where they repaired the counter and either forgot to get them or left them to assure it stayed up. That said…my room looks clean, it does not smell, it was very quiet all night, and I had no issues seeing any bugs and I always look good. Everything seemed to work fine. If you need pots and pans and things…as other reviews said get them at the front desk. I THINK id stay here again. Haha. Did I just get lucky in a decent room? Who knows. For $63 I cant complain.

Room was great, cost was fair other than the $100 deposit. Terms such as those should be made up front when making a reservation, either front a third party or directly with hotel. Learning of additional charges at check in causes people issues especially when traveling on a budget and these additional charges coming at the last moment. Staff was hard to locate, stood in lobby for 30+ minutes trying to check in with not one employee anywhere near the front desk and could not be located within entire hotel. Otherwise, room was great. Would stay again

Definitely one of the best and most cost efficient hotels in the area. We have had multiple long stays here and would definitely recommend other to consider staying here, especially when staying for a long period of time. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to make your stay comfortable and inviting. They also have all the amenities that you would need for a long term or short term stay. I appreciate the customer service and hospitality here and will most definitely recommend and be back again myself. Thank you.

Currently staying here from Thursday evening 6/23 till checkout Monday 6/27. Carpet in the room entrance is torn/tattered, and stained. The carpet has a strong odor of urine next to the left side of the bed. The tile flooring in the bathroom has dirty black grout so I have to wear flip-flops in the bathroom/shower area.Tried using the iron to press a shirt, and it has something burned onto the bottom of it. Also found that the ironing board smells like funky body odor. So, guess I'll be heading to a laundry mat in the morning for a quick pressing. The t.v. remote has tape holding the batteries in. The room itself has a weird urine smell, or moldy smell, I just haven't figured out which is the strongest. I highly recommend not staying here! I would've already checked out but the rest of the area is booked for bike week, so I'm screwed. But I'll definitely not stay here ever again, and hopefully upper management sees this review and either fixes the issues and gives me a partial refund or does the next person better!

S olo travelers - avoid.H ave pets - avoid.I f you care at all how any lady in your family is treated, then this is definitely a place to avoid.T his is not the place for anyone without a Maryland state-issued driver's license and the ability to show the reception how to check in (i.e., using a keyboard to override or allow a back-end / manual check-in).A ccomodation is rated with less stars than competitors. Not surprising as police presence was required later the same night. Imagine if one did recommend this facility to international travelers, who would have to submit their one and only passport to these, (in)competencies, only to have to carry it with you all around (that is not recommended, is it).V ery inconvenient if you do not have a Maryland state-issued driver's license, apparently the concierge is unable to check someone - who made a reservation a month earlier - in. This particular requirement was not required in any documentation shared upon confirmation of said booking. The front desk staff did not know how to operate their system manually (meaning using keyboard input). I understood the, system challenge, when the 'supervisor' passed me, my two dogs, three bags on the curb, with her lunch baggie as she clocked out. This happened just before 4pm.O ut-of-state customer cannot be accommodated, it is a major issue. Not to even speak of foreign identification. Accepted and issued by departments of states and government worldwide but, not accepted at the place known as the, lesser, of accommodation choices. No car, no place to sleep. And when I tried to phone to obtain the proper channel for sharing my complaint, I was referred to the IT support for their website. Also, if this was truly a system issue, then the Blackstone Group has a much bigger problem than sub-par accommodation.I am not too sure that this was indeed a systems failure. I suspect this to be blatant discrimination. I have no option but to assume refusing me to use the facilities after a two-hour long drive with my pets to the supposed pet-friendly accommodation was part of such as well. I shared this with anyone I could (since many events were being held at that exact date) and learned the location is home to many foreign contractors and military operations. Yet such hospitality is not extended to others? One has to ponder why. Certainly taking what I learned back to the city with me.D efinitely unforgettable. Be assured I will continue to share my experience (or lack thereof) and the attitude of the 'welcoming' staff as far and as long as is humanly possible. As I was not allowed to speak my mind, denied access and details, I will have to research the organization to find out who can address this. I sincerely doubt a help-desk support ticket (if such exists) is the root cause or solution for this, nightmare-inducing discrimination.Nearby activities: The Hampton Inn across the street was an exponential upgrade. They employ helpful, friendly staff. They are able to verify photo identification. They treated me with kindness, respect and understanding. They welcomed me and my dogs when I was alone and vulnerable, without a car and literally out on the street.

First, the staff was friendly and helpful and they have the lowest pet fee of any hotel I could find in the area. (It was still an expensive pet fee in my opinion, but the cheapest that I found in the area) The lobby and common areas of the hotel also seemed to be in decent condition, but our rooms were another story. My family had two rooms reserved and both were in very similar shape. Even though the rooms had kitchenettes there was not a single item to use in the kitchenette. No utensils, no cups, no cookware, no hand/dish towels or rags, not even the tiny coffee maker that is in every hotel room regardless of whether it has a kitchenette or not. The bathroom fan either didn't work or didn't exist. In the bathroom we could see what appeared to be mold stuck in the ceiling spackle and a large odd shaped section of drywall/ spackle in the ceiling that appeared to be either poorly completed repair or a future problem growing. The windows were an interesting double window setup that I had never seen before and assume are that way to provide better insulation, however, in our room the outer windows were open and when I attempted to close them I found that they were jammed somehow and permanently stuck in their open position. Although this was not the worst hotel I have stayed in, without a single item in the kitchenette and with what appeared to be mold growth in the bathroom, I cannot recommend that anyone spends there money on a room in this hotel.

I’ve been staying here for a month and half now the staff is extremely, friendly they always help me when I have questions about something or need something. And a it’s pet friendly hotel which is a must for me and my husband because we have two dogs. I haven’t had any problems since we been here I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
