Rocky Gorge continues to be to provide excellent support and service. I have been a client of Rocky Gorge for over 30 years. Their vets, particularly Dr. Weistock, are responsive to questions and concerns I have about the care of my dog. Their team of customer service specialists are very helpful and the pharmacy is excellent. I also use their resort for boarding and their grooming services. I cannot say enough positive things. They care about the animals and their clients. Service and support are the key reasons.

Rocky Gorge is a well working organization with everything you can imagine in a great facility. They have 16 doctors in their employ and their pharmacy is amazing. Additionally, they have an excellent grooming service, a spa and boarding facility located on the lower level. It's further than where I WAS going but so worth it!

We’ve been bringing our Aussie Shepherd mix Luke since we adopted him in 2017 and honestly couldn’t say enough good things about how RGAH has helped us care for him. He’e been dealing with IBS most of his time with us and they’ve gone out of their way to accommodate making sure he’s had care during all hours of the day. We’ve even gone with them for both surgeries to fix his hind leg CCL tears and now he walks as though he never had any issues. We cannot recommend Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital enough!

My family members have Fur Babies have been a part of the Rocky Gorge family for many years. And I started several years ago with my first Fur son. However; I called to see if I Could get a same day appointment. I was told nothing was available, this was a 7:23 am. Let me add my puppy hadn't eaten [due to car sickness]. At 9:18am I received a call from RG stating I missed my 9:00 am appointment. I was completely disappointed, that earlier call ...It should've been asked about my already scheduled time.I'm hurt more than anything, that no care was taken into account that was already scheduled.

I called for a nail trim appointment for Maggie on Wednesday with the spa and got an appointment for the next day. I arrived early and Maggie was seen immediately. Five minutes later, she was done. The two techs did a great job with her. By the time my appointment time arrived, we were on our way home. The appt was half the price as it would have been upstairs. Win-win.

I awoke Wednesday morning and found my 12 year old cat very sick. I called Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital. Urgent care was available. We arrived shortly before 9am. My cat was evaluated by the doctor and tests were done by 9:30. By 11 am, test results were back.Everyone was very nice. Very efficient. Highly recommend.

Dr. Weistock is outstanding! She listens and is knowledgeable. She always gives me helpful information to ensure the best care for my dog. She follows-up and checks-in to see how my dog is doing. Also, Chloe is excellent - very thorough and kind.

We have been going to Rocky Gorge for a few years. They were amazing with the end of life care for our almost 17yo Papillon. Dr. Wooleyhand has also been amazing with our lab mix, Prince. Dr. Bishop and the techs from yesterday’s visit with our two 8yo cats was amazing. Both cats were recently surrendered to us with minimal exposure to vet care. Dr. Bishop and all the staff were understanding of their needs, made us humans as comfortable as possible and really eased all anxiety visiting with new pets. Rocky Gorge is amazing and really goes above and beyond in making sure pets and their human counterparts are well taken care of.

They took very good care of my dog Brady. It is extremely difficult to go on vacation without him but knowing he is in good hands made it a little bit easier. Also, the camera in his room made it easy for me to check on him.

Our cat was very sick, again. We had him examined and were told he needed to be hospitalized, but there was no room. However, we were allowed to stay in the room while I called around to find a place that would take him. And the doc very nicely talked to a vet at the other hospital. The folks at the front desk emailed his records. So while our cat is still sick, we are happy with our experience at Rocky Gorge.

I can’t speak highly enough of Rocky Gorge. I’m that over the top dog mom and the care , respect , professionalism and genuine concern for my pets and myself is amazing, The entire staff understands the stress bringing a pet to the vet can cause and they do everything they can to make the visit as comfortable as possible. The level of medical care my pets receive is top notch . Every member of the staff are phenomenal. However, Dr. Wooleyhand is true a godsend to my pets and myself. It’s so reassuring to have a vet such as herself , to go above and beyond to ensure my pets receive everything they need . I travel from DC to Rocky Gorge because my pets deserve the best .

I've recently had 3 cats in for their rabies and health checks. As usual, Dr. Farnan was great. My oldest and least healthy was treated with kindness and respect even when he made his feelings known. The tech was great with him and didn't get flustered when he was growling at her. There is no cure for being old, but his symptoms were addressed and a new to us med. was tried. He is happier and more comfortable already after just one day. I love Rocky Gorge, have never witnessed rude treatment of clients, always considerate and polite personnel. I've used RG vets since Dr. Morley was alone in the small house. I've never had a negative experience even though I have been there with various rodents, feral cats, kittens and seniors. Dr. Farnan has treated some very wild cats without flinching, never has asked how I managed to adopt the less friendly felines. What a gift! I always took in the cats nobody else wanted so they have had issues of some kind or other.

It’s taken me a while to write this, but I I wanted to share with anyone who is looking for an exceptional service for their pet. Rocky Gorge staff without a doubt, cares about the wellbeing of the animals. My puppy started showing signs of lathergy by day two, I took him to Banfield. I received absolutely zero care, wasted money without a clear understanding of what was wrong.I received a recommendation from someone who fosters dogs, she mentioned without hesitation to immediately take him to Rocky Gorge. My dog started to faded in and out, it was very scary. Immediately when they saw me carrying my dog in, they grabbed him and got him the help he desperately needed going on two days prior.Many emotions during this time confusion, stress and just felt hopeless. Within a blink of the eye, the staff didn’t ask any questions, they just took my puppy and got him the help he needed to survive.My prayers were answered that my puppy would received the help he needed regardless of how I envisioned the final outcome. I know he was in the hands of professional who wholeheartedly put the needs of this puppy first.I’ll never forget this act of kindness and love. I hope Rocky Gorge continues to grow in the community as the best service for our pets.Thank you.

We were so pleased with every one of the employees we came into contact with at Rocky Gorge but were especially grateful to Dr. Sallie Morris! She came in on her day off to do a last minute c-section for our three year old Westie who had been in labor that wasn't going anywhere. She suggested a reverse progesterone test that ultimately showed, the puppies "were cooked" as she said. We proceeded with the section and have three beautiful babies to love and raise.Two friends of Dr. Morris's, Margery Good, who is our dog handler, and Dale Martin, a good friend of Dr. Morris's, were instrumental in making sure we had the best surgeon for our dog. We are so happy and pleased with our positive outcome. I'd recommend this vet service to anyone asking! A 10 for sure!

This was an ER visit but it was just like a regular visit meaning the wait was not long at all. I thought I would be sitting for a minute. That was not the case. I really like that! Thank you. The assistant who spoke with us was pleasant. Dr. Thompson was great! I love to see this type of engagement with patients without the rush. Every doctor I have seen at Rocky Gorge have been excellent!

Love Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital! My pup is everything to me and having a vet who I trust is invaluable. The staff and technicians are professional and friendly. Dr. Applebaum is usually who we request for our yearly appointments because she’s very thorough, knowledgeable and kind. I always feel like she gives us all of the information we need to make well-informed decisions on our dog’s care, without the pressure. We’ve seen several other doctors there over the years and have been happy with each visit. When we brought our dog in for his first dental cleaning and to have a fatty lump removed (5 years ago), I was extremely nervous and scared, but the surgeon, Dr Morris, did an excellent job stitching him up and the staff were amazing when I called several times after with questions. I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else but Rocky Gorge!

I don't usually leave bad reviews for places however I think this needed to be shared. I recently lost my 9-month-old dog. I brought him into the ER on 2/25/24 at night around 11 he could not walk and was drooling from the month. I was told that it looked like he got into some drugs. We don't have drugs in our home and the doctor stated that he could have gotten it while on a walk. Not saying it is not possible however I did state I am cautious with him because he likes to chew on any and everything. I was told we can take him home and he should be fine in 24 to 48 hours. On Saturday 2/27/24 I called again and said he did not seem to be getting better and the lady who answered the phone told me well from the notes it would take up to 48 hours. Finally that night he started making a coughing sound so I brought him back in. I was told he had pneumonia we were told he may need to stay a couple of days. The next day around 8 am I received a call stating he was doing better he was a little shaky but doing well. Around 11 am I received a call that he was declining and that I should take him to another hospital. Sadley in the end we had to put him down. I honestly feel in my heart that when we first took him into Rocky Gorge his condition was not taken seriously. I don't know if the outcome would have been different but I walked out thinking my dog would be ok in 24 hrs or after taking him back the second time and getting the call in the morning that he was doing well. I have two dogs I do not want to continue taking my dog to Rocky Gorge however we have the plan and can't cancel. I just wanted to make you aware. I know everyone does not take animal health as seriously as adults and I feel that is what happened in this case.--
