I bought my baby cockatiel from here and I couldn’t be happier. Matt is an amazing “bird dad” and clearly loves and cares for all the animals. I feel very comfy boarding the bird here and the bird is healthy and happy. Raising friendly birds is an understatement, I have the cuddliest, friendliest and well tamed bird from the day I bought him. He’s even good with my very motivated 6 yr old. Highly recommend this place!

My son and I had the absolute best time in this little store!We were able to pet a few birds and get questions answered about our future purchase.These birds are well taken care of and they are so sweet!We will be returning to purchase a baby cockatiel!!!!This is very exciting, I definitely don't mind the 30-60 mins drive to get there.It was well worth the trip!

Its been over 20 years since we got our Senegal parrot from this store. We have been coming by every few weeks for wings and nails trim etc since we bought our Senegal. He sadly passed away about a year ago. We really appreciate having a great place to support our avian needs from foods, toys and nails and wings trimming. Thanks Just for pets!

My daughter finally got her dream bird. She picked out her bird when he was just a little baby. Every week we visited her bird and fell in love more and more. Matt and his staff are very knowledgeable and extremely patient as my daughter and I were learning about her new bird. Once we brought Popcorn home we still had lots of questions and lots of things to learn. I called and drove up to the store numerous times and was always greeted by Matt with love and care for my bird. I cant say enough great things about Matt, his birds and his staff.

It’s hard to find a business that just deals with birds these days. I found Just for Pets on a google search and based on their nice reviews, brought my two parakeets there today to have their wings and toes clipped. While I was waiting, I interacted with the cockatiels, African greys and other parrots. All of them were healthy, full-feathered and friendly. My birds came back with their wings and toes clipped perfectly. We will definitely be back. 💚

These are the only people I trust to purchase birds from or to purchase food/supplies! THEY ACTUALLY CARE!! And birds are hand-raised so they’re loving and trusting right from the start! I drive an hour to shop with them - ohhhh soooo worth it!!! Some breeders are more like hoarders - but because they’re raising by hand, they keep as many as they can handle only…. LOVE THIS STORE! A+++

This is a fantastic place. Kristi and Matt who own this store are very knowledgeable and friendly. You can board your birds here at a reasonable price, get your birds wings and nails clipped and purchase toys, cages, food, etc. They also breed birds if you are looking to purchase a baby bird that is hand raised.

Drove an hour to go see this place because of the reviews and I am disappointed.... VERY tiny store with no birds. After been to TC feathers aviary and American bird company, they are by far the 2 best bird stores in the DMV area. The male owner was very nice, the store was just not what I anticipated from the reviews.

I don't think any place could take better care of a bird...he didn't want to leave. Their hours make it tough to do business with them but it is the best place for boarding birds and buying their grub.
