We were visiting from out of town and I dropped my wallet in their store. The workers and manager went above and beyond to find me and were able to find my phone number to notify me that they had my wallet. They saved me so much stress as we are flying out in a couple days and I would not have had my ID. Thank you for your kindness, honesty, and diligence.

Worst customer service ever! I am not sure the people have forgotten how to communicate or if the people just need to find a new profession? I called at 11:00am to have a prescription transferred to their store. I gave them all my information then deciding to wait until 3:00pm to call to check on it. Thinking that this would be ample time to allow them to get it along with all their other job duties, including their 30 min lunch break. When I called they hung up on me. I called back and I said, hello then my name and they put me on hold without saying a word. Then hung up AGAIN. I called a third time and was put on hold for 30 minutes. Once they answered they said that they just received it and it will take about another 3 hours to fill it.

I have had numerous bad experiences with Walgreens. From convincing them to give me a COVID booster, to missing prescriptions, to long waits, to most recently being on hold for right now 30 minutes trying to refill a prescription. Someone has picked up the phone numerous times as if to answer, to be on hold again. I have no idea what to do.

Yesterday, I scheduled my sons’ and husband’s appointments for their flu vaccinations beginning at 5:10. They arrived, checked in, and were not seen until close to 7. The explanation given was that the pharmacist must fill prescriptions and administer the vaccinations and because they do this based on when people arrive they don’t abide by appointment times. We accepted that answer and moved on. Well, fast forward to my appointment today which was scheduled for 4:10. I arrive around 3:40 because of the guidance given the day before. I sat and waited and the pharmacist began calling people that came 30-40 minutes AFTER me. At 5:10 I still hadn’t been seen and they were taking a family that came approximately 30 minutes after me. I saw them check in while I was sitting and waiting to be called they called this family instead. So either they go by appointments or they just do what they want to do in any case this is unsatisfactory. I just ended up canceling my appointment and I’ll get it elsewhere but this is a giant disappointment and a mega waste of valuable time.

If you need a pharmacy to do something a little extra to get a much needed Rx filled, do not expect this group to do it for you.Had a Rx for my wife that required the store's pharmacist to personally speak to a Specialty Pharmacy's pharmacist on the day it was ordered. This was second attempt in two days to get this Rx.The clerk at the La Plata store knew this was required for med to be filled. Waited all day for this to happen and was told it was in progress. Towards end of day after realizing Rx was in jeopardy of not being filled, I was informed that no one ever called insurance company after being told they had and was informed by store that they were too busy to do it.Got a message the next day from Walgreens saying there was a hold up in filling it. It was well known that Rx filling was required to be completed previous day and insurance would not do another override. Thanks to the staff at this store, we are now scrambling to get this filled somehow.Do not depend on the staff here to help you when you really need it - only if they have time.

Very slow service and I’m setting here now for over 15 minutes waiting for my wife prescription and I called earlier they young Lady answered the phone told me everything would be ready by 12:00 pm and I came exactly at 12 pm on the Drive through I might as well go somewhere else smh no sense of urgency here

The Walgreens in la Plata Maryland doesn't have a 1.6 star review for anything. Today I call myself being proactive and placing a curbside order to pick up when I left work. My daughter is having issues with her mouth and desperately needed medicine for it. I get to the Walgreens and the bag is brought out to me curbside perfectly all to get home 30 minutes later to find out that the medicine that I desperately need. It was not in the bag. So I got home called the store to tell them what the issue was. I was put on hold three times all in which the whole music ran out each time. The representative that answered the phone said she would have to get my number to have someone call me back when I explain to her the urgency of the matter. Her words to me were well. Okay. Like in other words, you're just going to have to wait on hold if you don't want to be called back. Well the whole music ran out again. I called back to speak to a manager. The manager answered the phone. I explained the issue about the curbside order and the service that I received from the representative. He never addressed the service received and guess what? I had to go all the way back to the store. Another 30 minutes. Something that was supposed to be so convenient again or should I say became very inconvenient and no one in the store cares. This store needs an overhaul. This is healthcare people come on. You're in a industry where people need you to show you care and to act like your professional at least.

Would not price match with their own online prices claiming I have to order online for that price when the walgreen website clearly states they price match to their own online prices. usually wouldn't care but the fact that it was literally $6 more expensive in this economy. Try CVS across the street

The store portion is wonderful. The staff are really nice, and respectful to customers. It’s also very clean. The reason for my low rating is due to the pharmacy. They are very slow. There is always a line and no sense of urgency to see the customers quickly. I came to pickup a prescription after going to urgent care and was told it was delivered. I got to the pharmacy pickup at 3:45 pm and they told me it wouldn’t be ready until 5 pm. To ensure that I wouldn’t have to wait longer I called the store three times to see if my prescriptions were ready and they still were being processed after 5pm. They specifically told me they would be ready by 5pm.

My prescription was apparently not available from the manufacturer, but no one bothered to call me and tell me. Two weeks later when I called, I was on hold for 30 minutes while the pharmacists chatted with each other and then was told there was nothing they can do to help me. VERY BAD BUSINESS.

This Walgreens pharmacy is horrible! Prior to the pandemic they were slow and during the pandemic it's gotten worse. They mess up prescriptions and refills and the wait times are ridiculous. The have the medication pick up and vaccinations in the same line which makes no sense. Why should people have to wait for an hour with 8 people waiting for a vaccination when they only want to pick up a prescription. When mentioning it to management I was told it's only one line. They always seem understaffed and one of the staff members is BEYOND rude and sarcastic to customers and staff. It's the closest one to my house and Walgreens is who my insurance prefers my prescriptions be filled. Otherwise, I would NEVER come here!

I'm really not sure if the associates that work at Walgreens come to shift with an attitude or just look to be rude to customers depending on the day. I went in tonight and asked if I could add money to my cash app card the associate replied "well can you?" And from that point she just had an attitude and at that point even with my barcode she told me that I could not add money to my card. At the end of the transaction she proceeded to tell me well I told you so.I understand all too well that working retail sucks. But there are plenty of unemployed people in this county that would be more than glad to do her job and wear a smile whilethey do it.

I just wanted to let you know how terrible your La Plata, Maryland location is. My mother dropped off 3 prescriptions at 11:30 am and was told it would take an hour and a half to fill. She waited over four hours to go pick up the medicine (just to be sure it was ready). She called and called to confirm and was on hold for over 30 minutes. She went through the drive thru and the lady only had ONE prescription ready. When my mom asked about the other two, the tech had no idea what she was talking about and had to go searching for the others. Then she was told it would be another hour wait !!! Needless to say we won’t be visiting Walgreens until they find some common sense!

Wow 1.7 rating well deserved. No drive thru since at least DECEMBER 2021! (6 months at the time of this review). No express pass pickup. Wait an hour just to pick up. Not enough help behind counter. Meanwhile CVS has 6+ people behind their pharmacy counter.

Literally the worst. They completely disregard Walgreens Express service. Anything you need requires standing in an insanely long line that takes forever. Even when you've already paid and they literally just need to hand the bag to you.I don't understand how any business can possibly be this inefficient and terrible. I can't believe corporate can't do anything about it either.CVS isn't much better. Lines aren't as long but medications are frequently out of stock and they don't bother to notify you until you show up to pick it up.ETA: The drive thru has been shut down for months now as well due to a "broken speaker" or something.There's a serious lack of adequate pharmacies in the area. Very frustrating.

I have a Rx that is called in monthly by my doctor's office and has been for many years. They usually text me and let me know when it is ready. 24 hours had passed and I called and was told "Well we need an approval from your doctor's office." Uh...THEY are the ones that called it in. So I had my doc's office call AGAIN and speak to someone. TWO days later I called to see about my RX. They said "Oh, well you didn't call to ask about it so we haven't filled it yet." W.T.F.?! I HATE this pharmacy with the white hot heat of a 1000 suns. They are so disorganized. This can be very dangerous. I wish other pharmacies stocked my meds on a regular basis.

Once again the pharmacy drive through is closed. The intercom is "broken". My major issue with this rrepeating is problem isAccording to employees "corporate headquarters" has to be advised and they will see to the repairs the local store is not allowed. Does this sound like a pile of you know what? Those of us with severe mobility issues must walk the length of the store to reach the pharmacy. For many it is such a physically painful experience they go without getting their prescriptions filled. In this day and age there are so many solutions available it is mind boggling.

If you take heed to reviews GO ACROSS THE STREET TO CVS. This Walgreens is absolutely the worst pharmacy in the area. It took me 3 days to get a much needed antibiotic and they gave me the run around regarding an issue with my insurance until I got someone, on day 3, to fix THEIR issue.There should be a zero stars or "run away fast" button.Horrible. They lost my business for sure!

This was my favorite location. The staff were always friendly and helpful. If I had a problem, it was always resolved in a timely manner. The pharmacist was great answering any questions and very knowledgeable. They have gone downhill in the past 2 years. They always have a line of 8-10 ppl bc they claim the drive thru is out of order. It's been out of order for 4 months now. They told me they were out of my medicine but would have it in a week...Then it was 2 weeks... Then maybe in a month- but no guarantee???! When you depend on medicine, getting treated like that causes anxiety and now I do not go there for anything. CVS is across the street and have better customer service etiquette

100% zero customer satisfaction from the entire team from the pharmacy to the on site store manager. Went to fill a prescription at 1030pm told it would be filled in 20mins, I came back in 35 and was essentially denied service due to store policy. I’m active duty military so the prescription is 100% paid for by tri-care. I asked for my prescription back so I could have filled somewhere elsewhere and was still refused based off the insurance already paying for it. Was told I could come back in the morning. I will never utilize another Walgreens again in my life there were completely zero customer satisfaction by the manager Lakeisha Davis and the pharmacy team.

It seems like Walgreens and CVS trade places on being the worst pharmacy every now and then. The drive thru speaker has been inoperable for over 6 months at this walgreens. That should tell you for about how long they've been on the decline. Moving my scripts next door to CVS.

They don't value customers, the wait time is way too long, they care more about giving covid shots than taking care of ppl meds, they hang up on you after keeping you on hold for hr min time. Its always 1 pharmacist and he/she administer covid shots rather than filling ppl needs and ignore all issues you have, they tell u a certain time than give you plenty more instead of dealing with the issue.

If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would! The worst experience I’ve ever had. I get emailed confirmation that my medication will be ready at a certain time. Three times now I’ve shown up and it hasn’t been ready for me to get. I found this out after I waited 2 hours in the drive thru (which they are doing covid testing in, by the way.) I’m so done with this place

I would rather give them 0 stars for absolutely horrible wait times in the pharmacy drive through line. My wife spent twenty minutes in line today for a less than two minute transaction. There was one vehicle ahead of her. This has been the rule rather than the exception. Either break down and hire a few more employees, or figure out where your inefficiencies lie and address them.

Think long and hard before you go to this location for the Covid-19 vaccine or to fill a prescription. I had a vaccination appointment this morning and had to wait over an hour before receiving it. There was only one overworked pharmacist who was oscillating between filling prescriptions and administering vaccines (she didn't even have help with calling names to the room to get the shot. She did it all.). There was so much room for error! She had no assistance and no one monitors you after you receive the vaccine. It was quite a concerning experience.

Just left Walgreens for a work purchase. Spent close to $200 on candy for marketing mailers. I didn't get a receipt. The cashier said I could go. I said twice that I didn't get a receipt. He said I am digital. I asked if he was ignoring my request for a receipt. He said yes because you are digital. I don't even know what that means and I left without a receipt.

I think the pharmacy got a lot of new staff recently because I used to hate this place and now I LOVE their pharm staff. Always very friendly and helpful to me! Never have to wait more than 15 minutes.
