I have to admit, this is my first time coming here. This place was absolutely amazing. The staff workers were very friendly and informative. They made me feel like I belonged there, even though I don't really feel like I belong in this very quiet town...There are park benches outside in case you want to sit down as well. There's not much of a view except the highway however.My advice : come here for the Italian ice, and the experience of "excellent"customer service. It's a win win!!!!!

This La Plata location is wonderful. Good, friendly service.They always have the sugar-free available, unlike the Waldorf location, who never has it. We drive into LAa Plata from Waldorf to buy the sugar-free often. They also have somewhere to sit and shade. Again, the Waldorf location doesn't have those either

Was excited to try this place but experienced discrimination from a young girl named “Cathy” (not sure if she gave me a real name) she was very rude about changing my order. I paid for a topping I didn’t like and instead of simply accommodating, she gave me dirty looks and said it’s their policy in a very condescending tone. Any place I’ve ever been, I was able to change what I ordered. It was very bad customer service and mediocre ice cream.

I love this place I am thankful that they don’t have one in Perry Georgia because if they did, I would be as big as a house absolute favorite place to eat and it never fails that the people they have work in the windows are friendly and knowledgeable

I love banana flavored Laffy Taffy; it is my one weakness other than dark chocolate. Rita's banana custard tastes exactly like it, and the mouth feel is incredible. It far outshines the texture of ice cream. Their crew is very helpful and kind, too. I forgot to get the girl's name today (7/10) sadly, but she helped me with my app, so I could get credit for today's purchase even though she had to go out of her way to help me as my phone was being a beast. Thank you!

Love this place, so does my son. They have cornhole on the lawn for while you wait. Parking can be tight at popular times, but worth it for the frozen treats.

4 dollars for a small custard that filled third of cup.Asked for a little more she needed manager , rude manager says all prices everywhere are up, I asked for money back she said we do not do that.I said keep the tip as this will be my last visit to any Ritas... she said fine and I walked next door to Roy Rogers and got a nice big strawberry shortcake for 3.49

Delicious ice and custard, good variety of flavors, friendly service. Outdoor seating area, generally shaded by trees. Roy Rogers next door if you get hungry for non-sweets. Parking area is small, but usually more than enough.

Not the full array of flavors, but definitely the favorites. Great place to stop while traveling on 301. I love that they have the wild black cherry. Always a highlight of our drives.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went there today with my two year old son and ask the workers kindly if they can wear gloves while making my sons cone. (None of the kids had gloves on). They agreed. As I got my cone the MANAGER came out and told me that the kids are NOT required to wear gloves because the Health Organization said so. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She went on and said they wash their hands. Mind you the girl had dirt under her fingernails. You would think at a time like this you would want to make sure you customers feel safe. So unsanitary and gross!!! Please be warned. This place is gross and unprofessional.

Manager was extremely rude and had a nasty tone. Her employee misheard my order and ended up charging me twice for something I did not ask for. I politely told the manager the issue and she continued to have an attitude. She went back and forth with me and proceeded to say “I’m not gonna say what I want to say”. As a black woman I took that phrase a particular way. I’m starting to think that if I was white there wouldn’t have been any further issues. This lady is unprofessional and I will not be purchasing any items from here nor will my friends or family.

The La Plata Rita's is the best Rita's in Maryland. The ownership is great and it really shows in the employees attitudes towards each guest. It seems that everytime I get served, my server is Madison. She is always greeting me with a smile and always very courteous and professional. Kudos to all the employees and the ownership.

The Ritas in laplata is my favorite. Customer service is always on point. And I love being able to take home packaged custard and ice to have on hand. The black cherry is in my opinion the best flavor. It has chunks of cherry in it and is such a great combo with the vanilla custard.

So I love being 8 minutes from Ritas. Recently started getting the flight and love that you can add custard. Only small thing is there is no shade while waiting in line. An investment in a solution would likely make me more open to going at different times.

Love this particular Ritas location because they have benches here for you to sit down and eat as opposed to many other locations that are just the restaurant. They also update their selections online which is also great.

This location is set up a little wierd. You have to park in the back and walk down the side of thd building to get to it. The service was fast and the ices are delicious as always

Ordered something special, but apparently they could not accommodate, but I didn't know until after paying. I wanted a dish of custard with about half an inch of Italian ice between the custard. Instead they gave me a Gelati, which had too much Italian ice and not enough custard.

Unicorn ice amuses me greatly it shimmers as if there is edible glitter in it. And it is purple. The staff were nice and provided quick customer service

This was the first time trying it and i loved it. I just got the cherry and OMG, so so yummy. I love the texture! My kids loved it too! So upset I waited so long to try it. I wasnt brave enough to try it with the custard so maybe next time.
