Employees are cordial enough but were brusque in their refusal when I asked if it was possible to have a section of gutter cut to size, stating there is no protocol or cutter for this purpose. I have no problem buying the whole 10 ft section but I can't fit that in my car, so I didn't make a purchase.

Customer service in my experience still needs some improvement. Visited Lowe's of La Plata, MD on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 to purchase Levolor blinds. Called store around 9am to see a Lowe's employee would be available or in the store. The customer service person said someone would be there until 5pm. Arrived around 2:15pm, pushed the service button twice when I arrived, waited for about 30 minutes. Still no help arrived. One Lowe's employee in the front of the store noticed me standing around, still didn't ask if I needed assistance. Approached a Lowe's employee who was going to find someone. He said he was going to find someone. Nobody came back. Approached Lisa, very helpful, in the front of the store to ask if I could speak to a manger. Lisa didn't call the manager but asked Shirley to place a call. Disgruntled woman finally came to help. I asked how her day was going, she said, busy & said "What do you need?" She acted totally disinterested in what I needed. I explained to her the length of the blinds needed as I was purchasing 5 blinds, 4 of which were the same length. She still acted confused about my request. I told her never mind, I would be back when she was having a better day. Asked to speak to a manger. Monique, Lowe's manager, came by to see if she could help. I explained to her the issue I was having and that I called earlier that day to see if someone would be available. Stood around for about 45 minutes when I arrived, still no help. Monique, Lowe's assisted with the blinds. 1 hour later I was able to leave with what could have been resolved in 15-20 minutes. 3 guys in the next isle over were standing around talking, never asked if I needed assistance after walking by them several times. Monique mentioned she was going to speak with the lady that came to assist, but I don't think it will help. I understand we all have busy days and bad days, but don't take it out on the customer.

The associates were cordial helpful. The on floor associates were very helpful. Pointed me to the item I had for return and replacement Craftsman tools made by Sears. Still have the lifetime replacement on them. No hassle, smooth replacement at the customer service counter.

Had a wonderful shopping experience at Lowe's in La Plata MD. Not only did one employee ask me if they could help me find something, 3 different employees did! And then 2 of the 3 actually went to the aisle where items were located to ensure I found what I needed. Great job Lowe's in La Plata with providing outstanding customer support!!

Visited the store on 1/28/24. A white lady and her daughter brought in their dog, and the dog immediately crapped on the floor. Instead of her picking up after her dog, she made a fort around it, with boxes, and left it there. I informed an employee and he asked, "she just put down the boxes like that?" Until Lowe's eliminates their pet policy, I won't be returning. Animals do NOT need to be allowed in stores for this very reason. Disgusting

Understaffed and absolutely zero customer service. Waited a half an hour after asking for help with glass cutting. After 3 calls to the customer service desk, they finally tell me that nobody in the store knows how to cut glass. Thanks Lowes!

I just left my local Lowe’s in LaPlata and met the nicest, most helpful and most importantly, knowledgeable and professional associate named Tracy. I was there with a question about drill heads. He was up on a ladder working, yet stopped what he was doing, came down and assisted. He made sure the drill bit was the exact size needed. I would highly recommend to anyone, if you’re shopping in LaPlats’s Lowe’s and have any questions with drills, ask for Tracy! He’s definitely the man!

I’ve always experienced good customer service at the La Plata Lowes until today. We went to purchase several bags of sand in the Pro Services section. The bags were on a shelf too high for us to reach. After two attempts to get help to no avail, we left. Went to Ace Hardware, problem solved. In and out in less than ten minutes and they loaded it.

Terrible...actually worse than terrible.I have spent several thousand dollars here over the last 6 years (between lawn tractors, building supplies, tools, seasonal decorations...and other household items because I just didn't have another local choice). Between the (lack of) customer service, lack of "give a $hit" of their staff, inventory control, and quality of the items sold, La Plata's Lowe's has left me searching for a replacement supplier. The best thing that could happen for La Plata is for a Home Depot to move in and give them some competition and a reason to improve.

I will never buy from lowes again.I bought siding from them and I don't have a receipt homedepo will give you store credit no questions. Lowes told me no matter what they don't do store credit any more. The siding is in perfect condition no damage. I bought to much and need to return the extra my customer paid cash so that is how I paid. I'm fine with store credit because I'll spendnd the money their anyway but not after this. I already contacted your 1800 number and they didn't help eathier they said try a different store that's it I tried 4 different stores none will do it

I paid for a deck and fence installation on April 15, 2020 during the peak of COVID19 and expected there to be delays with installations. Turns out home improvement jobs were deemed essential and relatively business as usual with some exceptions.I was extraordinarily disappointed and frustrated with the lack of coordination in getting the installation job scheduled. The installer provided a range of reasons why the work could not be scheduled including their main guy went on vacation to still pending building permits. In early July after making a significant number of calls I went into the store to request a refund on both the deck and fence. After some in-store negations the work was scheduled and installation began 2 weeks later.The installers did awesome work but Lowes sent damaged deck parts that brought the job to a grinding halt 2 weeks into the job. Today is October 3, 2020 and this is the condition my deck has been in since the August 7, 2020. I was told not to use the deck because it hasn’t been completed and therefore not safety inspection. I haven’t heard from Lowes in a couple of weeks, and counting.I do not recommend this Lowes installation team for deck and fence work...AT ALL. I did not/am not having a good experience with the La Plata, MD Lowes location.

Absolutely horrible. I should have went to Home Depot. All appliances were in stock, yet I have waited over a week for delivery and installation. Store calls (Shirley) the day prior to provide notice of delivery for the following date. I inform them that I need delivery scheduled as early as possible. I get a VM after 5p letting me know they’ve scheduled it between 2:00p - 6:00p. I called and got the nastiest person ever to be called to a management position, who promises a call back, but does not follow through and here were are the day of delivery, it’s after noon and I have no items. I live 5 minutes from this location, so they could have very easily adjusted the delivery time and now I’m forced to call my gas company out yet again to arrange for installation of my stove. Which don’t even get me started, Lowe’s wanted to charge over $600 to complete. I will never purchase anything from Lowe’s again. I should have known this would be a disaster when I had to go to the store three times, to make a cash purchase for appliances and each time we spent so much time in the store you would’ve thought we were at a car dealership. Worst location, worst management, worst delivery service. Do not recommend.

My kitchen range finally stopped working. It was 30 years old and had been malfunctioning on and off for the last year. Lowe's was having a great sale. I was able to purchase the range on Wednesday and it was delivered on Thursday. Sales and delivery staff were great. I would definitely recommend.

Came today to purchase purchase a screened door, however, the person who worked in this section was at lunch (understandable), but no one else was able to assist until the person in this section returned. An associate said he was going to get someone to help, and 10 minutes later returned to say he would finally help. I commend him for trying, but everyone should be crossed trained enough to be able to process a sale. Is this to much to ask, or should I “LOWER” my expectation?

Tried to return a piece of 1x4 wood that we did not need. We could not find the receipt. All we wanted was store credit and we’re going to buy paint and a new hose nozzle. We have been going here for many years. They refused to even give store credit citing company policy. But store policy says they could issue credit at their discretion. I guess we did not meet the criteria. Your customer service rigid adherence to your company policy has cost you 2 long time customers. You did have the ability to fix this but you choose a $15 piece of wood over customers willing to spend more money. We will not be back

Lowes Hardware and Garden store is located between Waldorf and La Plata, Maryland off of 301 Crain Highway. I was looking for a bathroom vanity for my main floor 1/4 guest bathroom. The selection was depleted and challenging to sift through as the stock seemed in transition.So I will wait a few weeks and return for the upcoming sale.Word of caution, confirm delivery dates. My beautiful 5-burner gourmet stove took 6 MONTHS to arrive ... from CHINA! GE Appliance sold out, and now ALL of their products are made and shipped from China, and with the economic hardships caused by COVID-19, shipping and deliveries are understandably compromised.

I stopped here to unload freight. While there I decided to go in to buy a speaker for my GPS since my other one quit working. I called in their first and the young man who answered the phone went way out of his way to help me out and help me find what I needed. Then I went inside, and there was a lady who was a cashier with no one in her lane so she helped me by looking things up on her phone and then asked a gentleman who was working in that area and he brought me over exactly to where I needed to be, and showed me the speaker That was also on sale! So overall, everyone was very kind and helpful. There were two young men on the way in who we’re working the garden area moving things around with a forklift that were very nice and helpful. Everybody was kind and could not do enough for me. The people at the dock were absolutely wonderful, which made for a really great day that started out pretty rough. Thank you, Lowes!!

My favorite area home improvement store. It's not the largest location, which sometimes limits the product selection but they have a great selection still (ie a bigger store may have 50 different choices of an item vs 45 at a smaller store). All that said, this store is very clean and organized and the employees are friendly and helpful. It's also never too crowded so you can get what you want quickly.

What a store! Lack of customer service, lack of product zoning and constant pricing errors. One of the associates told me that they will not honor prices because some one put in wrong place. 6 grand in one month spent here and it’s my fault that every product from clearance section, to hardware and even windows is in wrong price area! Great job Lowe’s your employees lack respect and customer service! Don’t ever want to spend a dime here. I am going to drive -5 mins down the road and give them my business!

I want to give a special shout out of praise and commendation to Deontre who helped me at the Lowe's in La Plata Maryland. He was sore from lifting loads of mulch and dirt and all sorts of other heavy products for other customers but he went out of his way to make sure he lifted all my heavy items for me without any complaint. Even I noticed one of my items was damaged. He volunteered to exchange it for me so I wouldn't have to stand in line again trying to get it taken care. Deontre volunteered to go in and trade in the damaged item that I was given that was packed for me (I had an online order pickup)and brought me back one that was completely sealed as appropriate. I just wanted to make sure that his supervisor if possible and Lowe's the home office gave him the kudos that he deserves because he didn't have to go the extra mile and I really appreciate that aboutLowe's all of the associates I've ever worked with really do take the time to try to make sure that I'm taking care of.Thank youThe reason 4 stars not 5 is when you walk in it is very hard to determine what line you need to get in depending on the type of customer service you need. In addition, I have made appointments to meet with department representatives and have had to wait 45 minutes to an hour to be seen. The associates were kind and apologetic but that's a really lengthy wait when you are asked to make an appointment.

We shop here ALL the time. We love our lowes trips. Plus my husband is a disabled veteran so the discount helps. But today as we were leaving we noticed the 75% off regular price sign so we pulled over and saw a ton of stuff including two log splitters literally behind the sign with the rest of the stuff. So I saw an employee and asked him hey is all of this including the log splitters 75% off. He said ya all of these items behind the sign. So my husband and I we’re going to park and run in and pay for one. Well the employee comes back out says I guess those are not included in the 75% off. So I said ok I want to talk to a manager. I took a few pics When I went in I asked for a manager there was not one but by the service desk there was an assist manager who took a minute because he was texting on his phone I said so I’m curious why these log splitters are behind this sign with all the other stuff. His response no lol those are not part of the 75% off. He said it’s everything in front of that sign and u should not even be over there on the side of the building. I said first all of the 75% stuff including the log splitters are behind the sign and also there not on the side of the building it’s towards the parking lot as u come out the lumber door. He again kinda laughed I said never mind I will talk with someone who understands what I’m saying and u may want to see for yourself since he clearly doesn’t know his sale items. So I’m writing this just because it was clear as day behind that sign with all of the sale items. Now I’m really annoyed and feel brushed off

Came from the Lowes in Waldorf due to waiting 45min for a forklift! Walked in the one to La Plata got help from a gentleman name Bernard. He helped me grab my plywood , load it onto the cart and Into my truck and I was in and out within 15min tops! Truly nice gentleman. You can definitely tell he was there to help. Thank you Lowes in La Plata and thank you Bernard!
