I just want to say I placed my order an entire WEEK before my event. The Bakery and Deli Departments were the best! The Bakery Department made the most amazing cake and cupcakes EVER!! The details were spot on with the theme. The deli departments Wing Platter was fantastic. I would not order another Shrimp Platter from the seafood Department ever again. It was not what I ordered at all. The Worst Part was I was told that I placed the shrimp order with the Manager of the Department. The seafood department is not professional or polite. I am not sure how they can sell a product to people that looks this bad. I purchased it because the birthday boy and his friends love shrimp. If you ever need to order Platters or baked goods. The Bakery and Deli are polite and very professional.

Overpriced, and whoever is in charge of the produce needs to be retrained. They have been caught putting out bad cucumbers, and "spinning" or repositioning old produce that needs to be thrown out. Meat is rarely very fresh. It's a store where you need to watch the dates. When Aldi opens up, they'll go out of business or have to step up their game.Edit Oct 1st- Stopped by last night to get lettuce last minute. Look at the quality of the produce they put out that night, to be sold the following day. Giant of LaPlata, this is what you sell to people- oxidized, old lettuce.

I highly recommend this Giant food store pay attention to details in the RESTROOMS. The managers are responsible for the upkeep of the entire store. We are planning to stop shopping at this location. This is a significant problem for the public.

This location gets better and better as far as product selection options. In addition, I have fewer concerns with expired or very near to expired product dates. I guess the growth in Charles County is causing products to turn over faster as well as requests for wider selection being made.The staff is always polite and helpful 😊I use to go to Safeway but this location has become my go to for the past year. Keep up the good work 👍🏽

Great selections today unlike when I go to Safeway, I found all I need and even got affordable lunch meat at the boars head deli counter. Thank you Giant for always having what I need when I go there.

This is my favorite grocery store in the area. The staff are very helpful to customers especially to the instacart shoppers. May this grocery store’s manager and supervisor will continue to perform an orientation to all of their employees to be helpful , friendly and keeping up high customer service.

I can say this store is a lot better than any of the others not saying anything is wrong with Prince Frederick but at least I can get in and get out a bigger parking lot you might have your usual problem with getting out but that’s a rarity…as far as finding what I want such as Diet Pepsi in a six pack, it was my lucky day cause I found them and other things I needed same notation…as far as the staff goes, pretty much courteous no complaints there..I have a couple of friends I chat with there time to time..I call it my out of the way stop in to get something if I’m going the back way home to avoid the horrendous traffic during the evening time place…all I can say I’m pretty much content with everything thank you LaPlata giant.

One of very few grocery stores open past 10pm. This is very helpful when items are needed late at night. Store is always clean and organized. I have, and will remain a loyal Giant Food Shopper, going on for over 35 years. Keep up the good work, and friendliness.

Giant Food store in La Plata is awesome to shop at in the evening. I'm almost the only person there in the 8 to 10 pm timeframe. Super clean store. Friendly staff. ALWAYS have a person working a check out line not just self check out option,at least when I'm there shopping. Great job Giant Team!

This has got to be the most underperforming giant of any location. You have to be constantly on the watch for out of date merchandise. I got caught on a candy bar at the checkout that I later discovered was about six weeks past the ‘best by’ date. Not worth going back to the store. They actually have one of the two entrances closed because there are so few customers. Based on the foot traffic at every Food Lion in the area, I would think Ahold Delhaize would be better off converting this to a Food Lion.

Great clean grocery store near my Brand new home. Super excited to go back each week. They're making me like Giant all over again. Found Great quality meat. Even found rare meat I dnt normally find.

The best giant in Charles County period. The store always stay clean customer service is superb well stocked shelves clean parking lot fresh food . Definitely a thousand percent better than the one in Waldorf. But sometimes the uncivilized group visit sometimes . Not sure what armpits they come from.

First time at this Giant. Fresh produce, not very crowded and the check out staff very friendly. A small-town feeling is what I like. It’s just a tad further, but I may make this my go-to store from now on.

Definitely my preferred Giant in the area, and the best grocery store. They aren't the largest location but it's very clean, employees are nice, and it's rarely too busy. While I realize it's a pretty new building, it would be nice to see some updating to be more inline with the style of the Waldorf location. Not a complaint, but a lot of the concieved premium stores now look like that. Still, this is the better one.

Hate going to the grocery store but do love going to this Giant! The employees there are so kind and helpful! The employee who checked me out was so kind, ethusiastic and just full of energy! We had a great conversation and she told me she was a preschool teacher, God bless her! There definitely need to be more people in the world just like her!

I can be found here at least once a week. By far the best location in the area. Decent produce and meat selection. Even though they have self checkouts they always have ample registers open for full service, and I often go in the evenings. I must warn you, many of the customers are directionally challenged. During these times of Covid-19 they have arrows in the aisles to keep everyone moving in the same direction. Some people don't get the concept. Just wave and smile at the ones that are going the wrong way - as you pass them in every aisle. Jesus loves them too. 😀

When I go into the store there's colorful and welcoming stations for food. Most of the employees are great but some are very disrespectful and they don't show joy towards their job. The food they sell is fresh and delicious. The only bad experience I had with the food is I found mold on cheese, but the response was very nice and they took it right off the shelf.

Yes, this is a great grocery store if you don't know what goes on behind closed doors. They put people in management positions and then refuse to take the time to train them. Imagine working for Giant in a management position almost a year and still not receiving your training as promised. But yet as a black employee, you don't say anything because your store manager is not there or doesn't have the time. It makes me wonder if the employee was a white man, would he have gotten his training especially since it has almost been a year. Respect is a two way street.

Loved shopping here when I lived in the area! Shout out to Chris for being the coolest Giant worker there. I really felt welcome and appreciated to shop here. They also let me hang a flyer for my business on the bulletin board. They prices are a bit higher than Walmart, but it's definitely worth it.

I frequently get charged the wrong price for items. I shop here only a few times each month, yet at least one item every month is off by several dollars. Then I sometimes have to wait in a long line a customer service to get it adjusted. I wish management would do a better job of making sure the price signs are correct.

I shop here often. Lately, some shelves have been bare and advertised specials aren't available. Not sure if it is a supply chain issue or weather related. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Place was very clean. Produce section has a lot of variety and was fresh. Meat section looked very well maintained. Had some decent sale items. Only a couple registered opened, but it wasn't that busy. Huge self check out area also. Would go there again.
