Great salon! I've been to many salons in the DMV, and none of them compared to this salon. My dog looked beautiful and was not afraid of the groomer - Nicole. I'm going to take my other dog there soon.

Was a little off put on first entry, due to being told it was their lunch break and asked to leave and come back. However, once we returned the staff was amazing, the service was amazing, and they took GREAT care of my fur babies! I have three and they came in looking like they had been lost in the forest for a year. They came out looking like three adorable little princess fur pups! Will absolutely return for continuing maintenance! Thank you all so much at Bark of the Town!!!!

I've been trying out different groomers in search for a permenant one for my pup. I saw they had a great rating and decided to check it out. Now starting with the positives. They did an excellent job on her grooming. Her coat was silky smooth and so far they are tge only ones that I haven't had to ask for then to clip her dewclaw.Where they lose stars from me and probably a customer is the energy from the staff. From the moment I arrived to the moment I picked my pup off I did not feel welcome. I arrived a little early because I like to be punctual and just in case I needed to fill out any forms. The young lady told me that they were still on break for another 10 minutes and that I could come back. Not a problem. During my wait in my vehicle two other woman arrived and were told the same thing. 12 o'clock sharp I entered behind one of the females that cane after me. No problem. One of the staff approached me and said "excuse me I there was a lady that entered before you and I'm gonna go see if I can find her so I can bring her in. The young lady that told me to come back sat there listening and did not feel the need to correct her and let her know actually she was first. So I proceeded to tell her myself after seeing her sit quietly staring ; "actually I was here before both of these women". I starter to leave and cancel but I continued. When I came to pick up my puppy I asked how did she do and the same young lady that told me to come back just looked at me and said you're here to pick up Isabella your total is $60. I payed and let her get my dog. She seemed pretty eager to leave. I told everyone thank you and every last one looked at me without so much as a see you next time, you're welcome, nothing. People have raved about the staff and how friendly they were. That was not my experience. Seemed more unwelcoming and gave "let's just get her out of here". For that reason I don't think it's a good fit for us

An absolutely astounding place of business. We saw Shannon and she and the owner were very attentive to my German shepards needs and went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience for my dog and I both. The quality of work done was also hands down one of the best I've had. When I got my pup back from her session she was very happy, something she has never showed at previous groomers. You're not just a customer or another paid ticket when you come here. You are a friend and someone who's opinion and questions are valued and answered

My mini schnauzer never looked as good as after grooming her here. My groomer Mary is able to get my dog ready very fast and does not hesitate to let me know if she notices something that is not quite right (i.e. a rash). Prices are comparable with other places but everyone seems to be way friendlier (both with people and pets)! All in all a great place for making your pet presentable -- you need to think about booking in advance or even better, on a schedule as they are pretty busy.

I can’t say enough good things about Bark or The Town! I had an awful experience with the Groom Room and found Bark of The Town instead and I’m so glad I did! We had never had our German Shepherd groomed before and were hesitant how he would do but I felt so reassured by the staff! Moose did great and they treated him amazing he walked right in no problem and was so happy after coming out. They even gave him a blueberry facial and he smelled amazing for days! He was so pampered I can’t wait to bring him back for more! Thank you Bark of The Town for taking such good care of my boy!

Took our pups (a lab and three dachshunds) for the blueberry treatment. They loved it! The staff are wonderful and loving and the dogs are so calm when we pick them up. It is a great environment — so worth the money. Not your Petco experience at all! They do a fantastic job.

Everyone at Bark of the Town is welcoming to your furry family member and you. We have a Bischon and he doesn’t mind going a bit. There is no long waiting for your dog for other dogs to be groomed while your dog is also being groomed. My dog is usually done in about an hour compared to 3-4 at our previous groomer! Highly recommend Bark of the Town!

Extremely friendly staff! I have a Malamute and they are difficult to groom and de shed but the groomer her is very talented! My dog came out looking like a brand new dog! 100% happy with their service and will never use another groomer again!

If you want a great groom for your pups this is definitely the place to go! The groomers are exceptional and friendly!We’re a military family and moved to the area over a year now and have been using Bark of the town. Now you’re probably wondering why I’m giving it a one star. Welp due to what I’m guessing is a business partner (she is the lady to the right side of the picture on their website). I had an appt for both my westies on a weekday at 10am. Something came up and I couldn’t make it so I called first thing that morning when they opened up at 8am. I proceeded to explain the situation to the “lady”. She abruptly started getting frustrated telling me that “you’re screwing up my schedule”. She repeated that twice and then continued to tell me that “if you don’t show up my groomers don’t get paid”. I reiterated my situation as there was no way possible I was able to make it. She then said “there’s a $50 fee for last minute cancellations”. I was not aware of this policy as she explained it’s a new policy for this 2022 year. I said “okay. I’m sorry I would make it if I could but I can’t”. We hang up. She then calls me back and tells me “I was looking at your record with us and the $50 can be waived this one time”. I said “thank you”.The policy fee is NOT what bothers me! I wholeheartedly understand it’s a business and it was I who was not able to make it. What bothers me was this owners rudeness. Lack of courtesy and respect! I think she needs to be schooled on customer service 🤷🏻‍♀️.With this said, I of course will be taking my business elsewhere. I feel so sorry for the employees. I can’t even imagine how she treats them if she treated me that way and I’m just a customer.
