Gave 3 stars because this is a good place to eat. Stopped here on and off for several years to take out food and convince items. Will not be returning because of this evening's incident. Only went in this evening to buy a pint of rum, 2 sodas, and lottery tickets. I do not drink out or at bars. I asked to use the restroom after my purchase and was told to leave my items on the counter. Really wasn't concerned except for the lottery tickets in the bag with a cash value. I asked why and was told "there is a no drinking policy" on grounds. This didn't sit well because it felt like I was being labled. I reiterated that I needed to use the restrooms, not drink. I was told that "people" go into the bathroom and "chug alcohol." I agreed, used the restroom, and let them know I would not be returning. I drink at home when having a good time, not at a convince store bathroom! Until this evening, I've never had a bad experience here and am not interested in taking business from them. Just don't make the mistake of thinking you own what you buy here until you've left the premises.

This is a great place to stop for lunch they’ll make your sandwiches any way you like them I particularly like their club sandwich and they will customize it to my taste I think the best way to do it is to call ahead generally it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to make your sandwich depending on how many other customers have called in. They also have a cold case full of homemade salads cold drinks they sell beer they have ice cream and a fairly large room with tables and chairs if you want to eat in the air conditioning it’s definitely worth trying

The food ok, a bit greasy. I got the Ruben sandwich and they grilled it in butter. I thought would be fresh bread and healthier, not greasy.

Is ok. Nothing special to write home about. it is nice though to have another choice in an area where theres not much.So I got a BLT and it came out with no tomatoes. My wife got the shrimp basket and the shrimp was not all that great. More breading than anything and very greasy. You could squeeze the shrimp and your finger was covered in oil. Prepackaged breaded shrimp that I believe was meant to be baked not deep fried.

My daughter stopped to get us a sub and she brought it home it was a whole one it must weighted 5 lbs it was heavy and packed 4 of us ate it delicious I give it 5 stars she brought menu home cant wait try something else we had Italian cold cut. Thank you

Followed the detour signs to Minneapolis from Iowa and ended up here in Detour MD.. Not a bad store I guess
