The street was flooded but I was determined to get there. The police were blocking the street so I took a detour and got there. I was interested in the Crab Cakes and bought 2 of them. I also got a 1/2 lb. Of ceviche and a quarter pound of gravlax. We also got a dark chocolate mint candy bar. The store is very organized so it’s easy to find things. The quality of the meat and fish is exceptional. By the time we were leaving the water had subsided.

A much needed butcher and fishmonger in Kensington with bonus gourmet groceries to boot. Poké bowls were really quite good as well and the limited (by space) wine and beer selection have a nice range of quality and price. Definitely a place I will visit many times!

Can't say enough good things about the catering service Kensington Market offers. The food and service were amazing, and they let us bring our own platters for the food, so it everything looked especially nice. Highly recommend!

Best find for affordable gourmet food in the area! We have never had better crab cakes! And Kensignton is land locked. As for the pies, nowhere does them batter. The pastry chef has the perfect balance of fruit and sugar of any pies we have ever ate. We will be life long customers to this friendly small business!

Stopped by today for a pie... Got sidetracked by meatballs. And, then a cinnamon roll. That roll was RIGHTEOUS!! Airy, sweet (but not too sweet), cinnamon-y... Ridiculously good. And, the meatballs -- wow. I'll be sharing the pie with others and will report back. Love a great local business with a friendly owner and staff. Thanks for making Ktown more interesting and more delicious, Kensington Market!

Good meat and good prices as well! They have a large variety of pre cooked meals that are very good, as well as lasagna and dry aged meats. They also have fresh poke and a friendly staff.

I hate to do this but … I picked up a pound of their Gravlox this Sunday, and when I got home I discovered that it’s 2 weeks beyond the recommended sell-by date. I wish I could say it’s the first instance, but that wouldn’t be truthful. This is the third time, at least, and the straw that broke the camel’s back. Unless they do a better job of monitoring inventory and when the products go bad, I won’t be returning. I contemplated calling them and returning it tomorrow, but I’m worried they’ll restock it and try to sell it again to the next unsuspecting customer. I’ll absorb the loss and try to warn others now.

This a high quality wholesale market got pickup and carryout. There is prepared food, fresh seafood, and high quality beef. You can see the aging locker on second floor. Plus they have some very good pies.

Very nice market. Fresh yellow fin and NY strip steaks were on my list. Found exaclty what i was looking for. Really beautiful store with many options, wine, beer, a little bakery, etc. The hospitality was excellent. Very helpful, answered all of my questions and made sure I didn't buy anything with gluten as I have an allergy. Thank you!

Honestly, I’m blown away. We purchased multiple things for a Mother’s Day celebration and I was impressed with everything. The crab bombs/crab cakes were some of the best crab cakes I’ve had. The clams were fresh, twice baked potato was delicious, and the flan was yummy. So happy and will constantly return.

This place is the best! Their crab bombs and poke bowls are the best kept secret in this area. They also have great fresh meat and seafood that is delicious and consistent.

This place ROCKS! Checked out the market, which is fully stocked with awesome goods (lots of Spanish food) and meats. We had poke bowls for lunch and they were great. Really glad to have this place near by!

Fantastic. One of those places where you're tempted to post a bad review so that you can keep the place to yourself. Great meat, seafood, sides, fresh pasta, modest amount of groceries and veggies (just the right stuff) and ice cream (!!!). Thank you, Kensington Market, for opening in "no man's land." I no longer have to drive all the way to Hemps in Jefferson to get great meat! PS - I hope you succeed - the space you occupied had a number of failed antique stores. Hopefully you are here to stay, and hopefully the community will support you.
