Treatment for my fur baby was amazing. Dr Qwigley, Edwin Mariah Leah and all others were just amazing. They made Thor feel comfortable and not afraid. They listened to my concerns and addressed each and everyone. Thor is thriving and growing. The establishment was clean and sanitized. You are greeted upon arrival and wished well upon leaving.

They were quick to tend to my goat doe in labor with a stuck kid. Very personable. Didn't talk down to me like many vets I've taken my goats to. Very helpful with the various meds and prescriptions I needed. Only issue is not being allowed in with my goat, but they kept me updated.

Tiny house dogs are oftentimes very nervous and uncomfortable in unfamiliar spaces and around unfamiliar faces let alone being touched by strangers. This is the first vet's office that we have visited that considers the comfort level of the 4-legged patients. No mass congregating in a waiting room..no muzzles when a pup is a bit nervous..everyone respects the animals boundaries and meets them at thier comfort level, allowing and accepting the owners assistance towards achieving a calm and effective examination. This office really focuses on not only the physical well-being of thier animal patients but also their mental well being..it is an absolute pleasure and privilege to have such a wonderful facility to rely on..everyone is so professional and accomodating..way to go, PAWS! My fur baby Chase is my 4th and previous experience with the popular chain veterinary was not the best. My visits with PAWS have been amazing. Although Dr Willis is Chase’s vet, we have received wonderful and informative service on his test results from other doctors on the staff. The nurses have been wonderful and the front desk team is great. I have something to compare and the quality of service overall is phenomenal. The office and rooms are clean and I highly recommend PAWS for your fur babies🐾

My favorite veterinary practice ever.I value Dr. Parkin's advice highly, and have always found the staff to be very pleasant and charming.With a single exception several years ago, who was not with them long, I have found the professional staff quite competent as well, though I think Dr. Parkin is exceptional.

I drive 47 minutes just so that I can keep going to the vet. Back when I first got my cat and he was sick. They were able to get him in within just a few days. Every single Time I’ve gone there since they are always so nice, and they always want to come up and greet my cat. It’s honestly the sweetest thing ever. It’s also fairly priced unlike most places near me. Been going here for 3 years.

I love them!! They really care about the well being of your fur baby!! Shylah (sorry if i mispelled your name) was amazing! She was gentle and caring. She is truly amazing and loves what she does. She answered all my questions and was very informative! I have been taking my 6 year old dog here since she was a pup. I highly reccomend this establishment!

We brought out dog in on an emergency basis they took us right away. And all staff were understanding and helpful. They were thorough in exams and tests. Thank goodness for this staff we brought our baby girl home and she was just fine. Thank you to Dr Ketchum and staff for all you did!

Paws in Indian Head, MD, is a wonderful veterinary clinic! I cannot praise them enough for the exceptional care and support they provided to my beloved pets. Their commitment to responsive, kind, considerate, and caring service truly sets them apart, and they are reasonably priced.I first experienced Paws' remarkable compassion when my dog, Jack, was in his final moments. The team at Paws acted swiftly, seeing him promptly, and their genuine concern and support were a great comfort during such a difficult time. What truly stands out is that they didn't try to take advantage of the situation and gouge me with exorbitant fees, as some other clinics did like the Waldorf Emergency Care, AKA We DON'T care horror house for pets, in Waldorf.What touched my heart even more was their follow-up. After Jack's appointment, they called multiple times to check on his well-being. They genuinely cared about his comfort.On a separate occasion, I took my cat, Tom Cat, to Paws for a tooth extraction. He was terrified, but the staff worked wonders to make him feel comfortable and at ease. The fact that they didn't keep him waiting forever was greatly appreciated, as it minimized his stress.Paws in Indian Head is now my go-to veterinary clinic, and I can't express how grateful I am to have them in the community. It's also reassuring to know that the clinic has moved on from its earlier incarnation as the Glymont Animal Hospital, which was mismanaged by the so-called vet, Ken Fox, who now "runs" the We DON'T Care clinic mentioned above.I highly recommend Paws in Indian Head to anyone in need of excellent veterinary care with a personal touch. I just wished they went back to being open as an emergency clinic. Their compassion, responsiveness, affordability, and overall professionalism make them a true standout in the field.

I have 5 dogs and PAWS cares for all of them! All the Veterinarians, Technicians and Staff are amazing (My personal favorite is tech, Franklin!). I’ve been going here for years and even after I’ve moved (over a year ago), I still travel to bring my furbabies here! No other veterinarian office compares!

They double book themselves, always busy. They have absolutly no loyalty to long time customers or their pets. Told me to take my dog somewhere else while he had an open wound on his neck. We no longer take our animals here, and we no longer trust them. They're more concerned with money then your pets.

I brought my English Bulldog here on a very busy Saturday. The level of care that my dog received and the professionalism was A+. I also appreciate them sending me the intake form to fill out on my phone prior to my arrival. Because of COVID, we had to wait outside while our dog was being seen. It was a pretty short wait once our dog was brought inside. Dr. Julie Becker was just top notch. She explained to me the diagnosis (UTI) and treatment. She answered all my questions without hesitation. This animal hospital is well managed and efficient. Although I came here for an emergency, I will definitely come back for wellness check and shots. Thank you SO MUCH for fitting me in today. You are da bomb! PS. Also want to add that they did not overcharge me. It was market rate and I greatly appreciate it!

The vet and techs are great, but only for routine planned wellness checks/visits. We used to be able to count on them for same day emergency needs but now they’re always booked, and at a time when we were desperate for care we were referred to an animal hospital in Bowie, which is pretty far for anyone reaching out to their clinic in Indian head, that hospital also requires a 200 dollar exam (intake) fee just to be seen, maybe they have a partnership with them, but if you’re a local client there’s an animal hospital right here in Waldorf (we care) that we thankfully found on our own who we could get to much quicker with a lower intake (exam) fee and thankfully they’ve been wonderful and able to give our pet the help they needed.

This is the best veterinary practice in the area. The doctors and techs are all very caring. It so happens that their prices are excellent too. During the pandemic several vets left and they cut back their hours, hopefully that will come back eventually. Very highly recommended.

As new patients I wasn’t sure what to expect. Initial visits for shots and basic exams went over well. Malik and Franklin were wonderful. However, treating my dog for an eye ulcer presented challenges. Multiple medications and follow up visits, the final visit with Parkin was short and curt (he later explained there was a pending emergency). I was told my pets ulcer had healed. However, further evaluation at another business determined it had not. Because of that I cannot change the rating. Although mistakes happen in all industries there are consequences and in this case my pet suffered longer than necessary; so as his advocate I’m sharing our experience and updating the written review.

Super nice staff, my cat was seen in a reasonable amount of time given the fact that it was a walk in on a Sunday. The vet seemed really knowledgeable and made sure to answer all my questions. The price was also surprisingly cheap compared to other urgent care places I've been to! Would highly recommend this place.

I had just moved to the area last year and needed a good vet for my babies. My friends said that PAWS was where they took their pups and because of that, we took a chance and I'm so glad we did! The doctors are simply wonderful and every nurse on staff is so patient and caring with the animals. I have a very anxious dog and then one who just doesn't like his paws touched, so the fact that they offer multiple additions to normal treatment, such as nail trimming, this place is a one stop shop for animal wellness.

I adore this office! Both of my large breed dogs go here, one a senior (Bravo) and one a puppy (Charlie). They always seem to have a great experience and are not at all fearful of going. The vets are all fantastic and extremely responsive and every tech/front desk person I speak to has also been amazing. They also have a great rewards system and app. Whether it’s an emergency or just a regular checkup, I HIGHLY recommend PAWS! I even live in DC and it is worth the drive!

Edit: they changed their availability so it is harder to get an appointment and not to mention they up their exam prices to an unreasonable amount to $90! No matter if it is a cat or dog! That is not including the yearly vaccines. I have 5 cats and a dog and I would have easily have spent a grand on just vaccines and Well visits that would have taken only 5 minutes per animal. I ended up transferring all records to a place that gives free wellness checks with yearly vaccines so my bill will be half the price and now I will be able to afford blood work! I am so sad, but those prices are absurd!Love them! They are easy to book an appointment with and you can sometimes get an appointment the day of or the next day! The are a little pricey compared to my original vet, but I do believe I will be sticking with them from now on due to their availability.
