This store is nasty and disgusting. You can’t even shop here! The aisles are blocked. Food just thrown in the refrigerators and freezers. Employees that are on the clock are talking on their cellphone loudly throughout the store. No customer service at all! Who ever manages this store needs TRAINING. This location is poorly managed.

It's better than the Bryans Road store. I wish they'd remove produce before it goes bad. It's pretty gross to go in the "market" area and see rotten stuff.

The store does seem to be a little cleaner recently. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly. One older lady, she has gray hair she is not a friendly person. I have needed her help a couple of times, the last time I asked her a question was 9/23. There we're 13 people in the line, she checked in an order then proceeded to sing while dusting. The lady passed by me I made the comment they could use another cash register open, she snapped and said smart back to me but within 5 min. she opened another register.One other time this September it was about 7:30 I walked in and 3 bikes were inside the doors the kids middle school age were talking with a D G representative.My opinion only, find a manager who can handle the staff, get the store straight, be there for the customers. Pay the money to get it together, that store thrives.

This store is a hot mess!!! Every time I turn around they closing for 2 days to stock shelves, never heard of a store doing that!! So unorganized and junkie, candy isle empty, boxes everywhere, items all over the floor and self checkout never working!! Mangers definitely not doing there job. Whoever is running the DG market in fort washington, needs to come here and get this one together asap.

I don’t even know why they remodeled the store is always dirty and never has essential things like eggs milk bread!! The employees don’t care about their job. But hey that’s what I get for going to dollar general. Avoid this dirty nasty location.

a Woman with bad “Orange hair she was Caucasian she kept following me and scared me as she walked up and creeply asked me if if wass okayyy” waited until I accidentally dropped my my things and yelled at my mother about me I knew because I was Right there and didn’t know or did I know her I don’t expect the staff too know our life and I don’t know there’s but “She was Weird” and saying inappropriate things too her about me with another staff member that wasted his time” her behavior was not okay...on the Wednesday 3, August 2022 and making me feel unsafe all she had too say was “Calm Down” but that was to much too ask for too much was she mentally alright? I won’t be returning too this store as long as I know she doesn’t work here anymore that was was nasty don’t ever treat a customer like that!😡🤬🤬

It's OK for the items available, space is limited, customers don't respect the place. They don't care if they leave items where they don't belong. It's really ashame the way customers trash this store, and disrespect other Customers and the Store.

Now usually "non covid 19" time it's not as many gaps on the shelves but with the circumstances its understandable. This dollar general is nice! I can barley leave this store without spending a minimum of $50 the prices are DEALS!!! I love racking up on hair/beauty products.. a great toy selection and their seasonal section is always phenomenal! Fall now .. OMG I would suggest going before the end of September or you'll miss out!... the employees are nice.. lines aren't too bad and usually when it starts getting back up another person jumps on register 😊

It's a good place because it not many choices without driving another 15mins up the road. But I know they can do way better with interior and exterior cleanliness. Over all the staff if extremely friendly, happy and alert. Just time for a spring cleaning to make the store look fresh and proper staffing so it can remain that way. Low staff normally leads to alot of tasks not getting complete , such and dusting, mopping, restocking, proper shelving of products and product being left in boxes in the walk way. But you can't do all that when you are understaffed. Everyone clearly does every job in the store, which just don't work.

Well stocked and helpful staff. Not much health food just basic white bread, processed, American Fare.Nice value on clothes and cosmetics. They need more staff on clean up the floors were pretty dirty LOL

This particular Dollar General in Indian Head, MD may not be adequately staffed, however it is one the best ones I've been too! This store has a wide selection of pretty much everything from grocery items to household to clothing and it's well kept & stocked! I was actually surprised to find some really nice warm clothing for my husband to work in, as he's in the cold all day, including a coat/jacket that isn't bulky, he can move around in it and he'll stay warm in. In fact, I would've bought so much more had I known the selection I'd find & had budgeted for it! I never would have thought of buying clothing, esp nice clothing and several items at that from the Dollar General! Proved me wrong & he was extremely pleased! I recommend this location most definitely! The employees are also much nicer here, even when there is only one person working the entire store! I've always been treated respectfully no matter how overwhelmed he/she may be. I will go back & often to this particular store location. I keep stating that as the store in Bryans Road Md, as soon as you walk inside it looks as it has been condemned & if not it should be! It's absolurely horrific and you can not even push a cart through it, as there are boxes, merchandise, trash and who knows what else laying and thrown everywhere! Beware & be afraid, be very afraid!

The center of the store has been discarded. The floors are in dire need of mopping, the storefront is riddled with litter and the parking lot is full of potholes and lacks clear painted line. The refrigerated items are hit or miss. The staff is nice and always helpful.

This dollar store, needs security especially at night. I'm not saying people are stealing but if my daughter was working there late and it appears that she's alone I wouldn't want her there. At night it's always short staffed. It's a nice store just be careful at night.

I wish the staff were reflected in the store building. They are so friendly and polite but the store looks a mess.I feel it's because the building is older and they just cannot tidy up and clean it as much as is needed.Otherwise, I like shopping in this location.

Very nice store. They have supply ,demand done to a science. New Manager from D.C. very, very nice , helpful.. Staff very helpful , excellent customer service. I do notice a big difference from the Bryan's Road , MD store..Didn't care too much for there lack of customer service Bryans Rd, MD.

Good prices and decent variety for a dollar store. Service is consistently adequate at best (not so good but not abysmal either). With few other shopping options in this part of the county, its fine for a quick stop for some essential items at a cheap price.

I prefer the Dollar Tree about a 1/4 mile North. However, Dollar General has a wider variety if it were on the shelves & easier to get to. Corporate definitely needs to send a Rep SOON! Most of the staff is friendly & will assist as they are able. I also, have problems getting the app & digital coupons loaded. Still haven't been successful.

I am in this store almost daily. I have watched the filth pile up until I can no longer stand it. Last night I went to purchase a pair of ladies slippers. When I got to the register, I noticed they were full of bugs. The cashier had me put them in a bag and tie them up.When I got home, I noticed bugs inside other bags of items.This store is gross and needs more help than is there now. From the filth on the shelves and floors, to the nasty outside.

I was running late for a birthday party for a 5-year old at the base. This was the last store before the base and I was able to get a card, gift bag and a remote controlled truck. The toy assortment was good under the circumstances. I thought the batteries needed for the truck were overpriced.

Very dirty. Only two stores in our small town. It used to be clean. Boxes everywhere and you have to move them just to get something off the shelf. Corporate really needs to put attention to this store. Especially if money is being made here by the community.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the store manager is very useful in helping customers find items if specifically if they're out of stock or low on the Shelf I appreciate their tenacious and continuous work the still has much improved within the last year

The staff is friendly the few times I occasionally stop in, but the HOOD OOPS neighborhood is horrible. The parking lot really needs a good cleaning and it's more trash on it than at a landfill.

Absolute FILTH! Parking lot is a trashy mess in dire need of paving and painting. Shelves aren't stocked. Floors are an absolute mess (dirt/stains) as if they aren't familiar with the process of sweeping/mopping. Boxes are ALWAYS in the aisles and in the way. And the CHECKOUT process is enough to cause hypertension! Zero respect for consumers time! Be prepared to wait in ONE lane which usually wraps around into an aisle. Basically, a quick run for toilet paper will take about 30 minutes from the time you enter...ridiculous as always! But it is ALL we have in Indian Head at this time sooo uhh happy shopping👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾✌🏾

This place was a mess! There was plenty of stock, but nothing I was looking for. I was almost tempted to go through the unpacked items that were littered about. Staff was nice, store... meh. Ended up going to Dollar Tree.

Very convenient however never any lines open only one cashier the store needs security and people are always stealing because of the lines . This is one of the reasons why I can't never get what I'm looking for.
