Great experience. Super friendly and helpful staff. I came in to use the pet wash station. It was my first time coming into this location and using the wash station. It was $15 and well worth it to not have to worry about clean-up at home in the tub and the discomfort of kneeling on tile for an extended period of time. You get shampoo, conditioner, three towels, and a small rubber groom brush (it wasn't useful for my dog). You have 30 min to finish your wash which I think is plenty of time (I have a small, 6 lbs dog). The water runs really cold initially so let it run for a couple of minutes to bring it to a more comfortable temperature. The pressure is good. It seemed a little strong to me, but my dog never seemed bothered by it. The air dryer is a comfortable temperature (not too cool, not too warm), but my dog didn't like it (I'm guessing it was the noise) so I did a quick pass over and decided we'd dry quicker and more comfortably in the outdoor heat.It's a really cute store that gives a boutique-esque feel and the treat stations are fun to browse. I bought a few of those and gave my dog the Oreo cookie-looking one for a job well done. Apparently they're also safe for human-consumption and a lot healthier (compared to the regular Oreo) which is good to know considering my 2 year old took it upon herself to grab one and start chomping down *facepalm*. Anyway, no vomiting or stomachaches followed so I'd say it's safe if you're ever feeling experimental.I also like the healthier bagged treat options that were available so I grabbed a bag to try out. I'm thinking this is going to be our go-to pet spot and next time I visit, I'll do a bit more browsing.

This location is fairly new and all. Looks good. There's 2-hour free parking in a garage that's attached to the location. There's a door leading straight from the garage to Unleashed.I appreciate the self-service grooming option which was what we went there for. We called beforehand and they advised that they had availability and weren't crowded. When we arrived they told us there was a 30-minute wait. Someone was already at the tub. When I checked the bath area out, there were two other tubs that weren't available because it looked as though they both were out of service. They didn't tell us that on the phone though. Slightly bad customer service, in my opinion. Just tell us about the one-sink availability. That doesn't mean we won't still come and use it. It just means we will plan accordingly and be more timely with our arrival.The wait was way longer than 30 minutes. When we were finally able to wash him, the towels they provided were these small, super thin towels that I can't even really say came from the dollar store because the dollar store towels I've encountered were actually nice and soft. We didn't use the shampoo they offered because of the pupper's sensitive skin but what they did provide looked like watered down alcohol. I wouldn't have used that on my dog either way. And the toy situation was pretty minimal. They had more food than anything but my dog is on a raw diet so that's moot for us.All-in-all, would I go to Unleashed for their self-service washing stations again? Yes. For anything else for me, I likely would not.

Love this location. The self-serve pet washing stations are a life saver and the staff are great. It doesn't have the largest selection of large bag food given the size of the location but it's great for other every day items and the free pet scale is a great feature.

The store is smaller than your average pet store but this place has absolutely everything I could ask for. A wide variety of dog and cat food. By variety I mean wet, dry, and even fresh. Yes, they have a cooler with fresh pet food!! Numerous toys, treats, pet comforts, and accessories. There's even a do it yourself bath area for your stinky pet with plenty of supplied towels.So, their inventory is great but their employees are spectacular! You can tell everyone there loves animals and truly loves assisting customers who love their animals. One employee that seems to stand out is Jamey. This guy is always cheerful, friendly,and helpful in every way. He'll have you smiling with his first sentence and at the checkout he'll say, "so your going to donate to our homeless animals now right?". Well, how could you not? When people truly love animals and love what they do it shows!!

Not a bad pet store. I go to this pet store for the self-serve pet wash center. It's affordable and the parking garage is pretty big. The best time to was your pet is on week days because the weekends are very busy and normally have a long wait.

I was very impressed with the self service wash area. The person who helped me was very kind and informative, I only wish I got her name. I’ve inquired about several self service wash locations and they tack on extra fees for size and hair. This was a flat $10 even for my thick coat 171 lb Akita. Which is excellent for my wallet considering I have another Akita along with two smaller dogs. I’ll be back soon with my other dogs. This is a terrific concept for those who have larger dogs or for those who don’t wanna clean up the mess - yes, they clean up after you!

Best thing about the Unleashed by Petco stores is that they have Self Serve Dog Wash stations in the back of the store! For $10 you can wash your pooch in an elevated sink so you don't strain your back. Shampoo and conditioner are provided as well. There are plenty of towels and even brushes and blow dryer. I prefer this location to the one in Silver Spring because there is plenty of nearby.parking in the parking garage.

Really clean place and allows only 1 dog at the self wash station at a time. Provides everything you need. Very friendly and would recommend. Parking is free the first 2 hours if you plan to drive there.

Very well-stocked and clean store with great treats and toys. And an excellent clearance section usually! They have a large scale that I use to practice weighing with my dogs because it’s so nice to get them used to scales in the happy context of a pet store (vs the less-happy context of the vet’s office).

I went to unleashed today because the dog food I usually give my picky dog eater has been discontinued. Although everyone there was professional and friendly, I had the pleasure of being greated by Ryan, who was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and helpful! He made an extremely tedious task tolerable and less overwhelming by listening to my dog's needs and my preferences. Great customer service Ryan and good luck with your new kitty!

Great! They have lots of hand sanitizer right when you walk in and we were greeted with a smile. Very helpful staff. We picked up the food for our dogo argentino pup who's almost 2 who needs special food because he has allergies. They have tons of the brand we need♥️

First, thank goodness we finally have a pet specific store in the area. I've lived in hyattsville my entire life. Grew up with pets. Always had to travel quite a ways for organic pet products. Love this store. Employees constantly checked on me to make sure I didn't need assistance. Was able th answer all my questions clearly. The store was cleaned and offered a variety of great products.

The guest advisors are lazy. They don't know the product. They are at least cordial but they lack real investment in their guests and it shows. The white tall male is very rude. Avoid him at all costs.

Great for cat & dog supplies. They have this awesome dog wash station as well. You can wash your own dog but don't have to mop the floor!

They have an area the bath your pooch. And the reward system carries over from Petco. I went during the grand opening go a free bag of dog food and pulled for a gift card with my purchase. I got my dog a pink Superman collar!!!

So I placed an order here online to pick up. I got an email saying it was ready for pick up got in line and was skipped over twice because “order wasn’t ready” it was. Anyways I mistakenly got the salmon Merrick bag online instead of chicken it was $64 but I used a coupon so I got a discount. So I tell the cashier can I just exchange it for chicken and she wanted me to pay an extra $15 for the same bag. Then when I tell her I’ve already paid for it she goes it’s actually more expensive online. She proceeds to lie and tell me the bag is actually $74 online and it is but the 30lb bag not the 22lb the 22lb is $56. Terrible customer service. Will not be returning to this store.

I've used this facility to wash our fur-babies. The workers are kind and accommodating HOWEVER!! This sites wash tubs are different from the SE DC site. They only have large tiled tubs where in DC you have stainless steel tubs that you can add trays to adjust the height. So it is ideal for our Yorkies to add the tray so we are not bent over in the tub getting a bath ourselves!! Also DC has toothbrushes/fingerbrushes available alingvwith the caddies stocked with shampoo, conditioner and ear cleaner, . Towels are stacked at the tubs (you dont have to ask for towels) and the space is a bit larger. The parking is better in Hyattsville but the trade off mehh!!!

I go here to wash my pooch. The price USED to be $10, then it went up to $12, now its $15. Geesh!! Facilities are clean, staff is friendly. Remember to bring your parking ticket so they can validate and you wont have to pay for parking.

That was my first visit to the store. Prior to this visit I didn't even know the store existed. But I loved my visit as I was treated very kindly. The gentleman who assisted me gave me lots of information about the dog food choices that the store offers. I will definitely be back.

They have just about everything for your furry friend, specialty foods/toys/collars/etc, but the price reflects the specialty store model. Get a PETCO savings card and save on most items. But I can get regular cat food for 1/3 this price at the grocery store.

Got right in to wash my doggie, they fixed me up w THREE TOWELS, Shampoo, And conditioner, let me wipe & shine him AND BLOW DRY for FORTY minutes! $15 + tip

I really like this location, parking can be a little tight but I always find something close to the garage entrance. The store staff is very friendly and always greets upon entry and is quick to assist.

Love the store...customer service..needs some help. Just didnt get a greeting and first time using bath, and had no assistance...just people staring. Of course until it was time to check out everyone knew how to speak and greet.
