I had been going to PG Animal Hospital during Covid and this was my first time to actually meet the vet. It was such a nice experience. The vet was very thorough. He answered all of my questions. The big, strong vet tech was very good at holding my large dog. The front desk staffers were very nice and helpful. Everybody there was great. Sometimes you just get a sense that a business is well run and honest and that is how I felt today at PG Animal Hospital.

My Yorkie, Major has been a patient here for his entire life. 4 years. He’s been treated for routine checkups, boarding and the occasional emergencies and surgeries. Dr. Khianey is very knowledgeable in his field, the staff is friendly and helpful and most importantly Major never cries when receiving his shots! I highly recommend Prince George’s Animal Hospital for your fur baby.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Today (12/09/2023) was the 1st time visiting this vet. My Luna and I were welcomed warmly. After the receptionist put all my dog's info into their system, our wait was about 5 minutes. Dr Khianey and his assistant were very patient w/Luna. They took their time, and made her feel safe during her examination and during her shots. The experience was extremely pleasant! I'm a very happy furbaby parent😊.

Dr. K Sr. and Dr. K Jr. are amazing. We recently moved here from NC and did not know who to trust with our dogs’ care. You can tell that they look at each patient as if they were their own pet. We are very satisfied with the support staff as well.

Very dishonest people. Called Monday my yorkie had 4 puppies and wanted the tail docked. Was told $50 per puppy. Appt was set up for today Thursday. Something told me to confirm the pricing again before we were seen. That’s when I was told different. 4 day old pups now wanting office visit of $150 each on top of $50 each. On top of all this to travel with this dogs prepared and issue over pricing is nonsense. The front desk girl is extremely nasty and nothing professional in appearance aka ghetto is a compliment from her appearance, attitude, etc….when and where I spent I expect professionalism and this wasn’t it. To see so many great reviews maybe was just a bad day for them but I got none of these good review vibes. One of the older ladies came to my porsche asking to go ask if they will do what I was told.she came back saying she tried and sorry. Don’t come here not upfront n a waste of time… no matter the car I don’t spend foolishly or be taken advantage ofUPDATE HOT SEEN SAME DAY $172 total and free exam of pups…know why bc it’s common since they 4 days old there’s nothing to really exam so why would I give prince george 150 a pup 4 days old…i rather support those in business for a passion not profit or shall I say scam bc there’s no exam for a 4 day old pup 😂

My experience at PG animal hospital was exceptional. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions readily and gave me great advice on the care of my pets. Would definitely recommend their services for all of your pet care.

Their prices are affordable. They're courteous and professional. I accidentally showed up a day early for my appointment because i mistook a reminder for an appointment and the woman behind the desk was able to fit me in and let me stay and wait for a free moment to get my cats seen. She saved me so much frustration by being flexible. I was so grateful to be seen when i had made the mistake. Small acts of thoughtfulness and compassion like this make a business.

I was very pleased with my dog Lola's first visit. The Dr. was very patient, knowledgeable and provided suggestions on overall pet care and training. The vet techs and front desk staff are also very friendly and professional.

We have been coming to Dr. Naren Khianey since 2013, starting with our 4 cats, now just one remaining. They have always received the highest level of care and attention in an unhurried atmosphere. Dr. Khianey takes time to explain things clearly and answer whatever questions we have. He and his staff are always very polite and gentle with our animals.

I was a little anxious about the visit since I knew I couldn't come in with my 1y/o cat. It was her first time at the vet, and I didn't get any complains so hopefully it's because she did good. Overall the visit was great. You call to the office for them to come out and pick up your baby, they explain the whole process (the techs). I also got a called from the vet himself who explained everything he was recommending for my Belle. Definitively coming back for her future medical needs.

I called in today to explain that my dog has been bear sprayed and wanted to know if I should come in or what the protocol was since that’s never happened before. Chelsea who works front desk began laughing on the phone when I stated that my dog has been sprayed. I called in a panick and the front desk lady was laughing at my situation. I don’t know how someone who works at an animal hospital finds dogs being harmed (especially when innocent) funny in anyway. It was quite weird of her and made me feel uncomfortable.

The doctors I remember are so kind and professional but the front desk staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I was just calling to ask for my dogs microchip information and I kept being placed on long holds and was treated so horribly when I was anxious and just wanted them to either tell me if there was a better time for me to call, or to just get a call back when they were not so busy. They were incredibly rude and not understanding and made the process so difficult for no reason.

Staff always makes our visit a breeze - they clearly communicate everything from appointment times/reminders, price breakdowns and any issues that our dogs may have. We were in & out yesterday in about 25 minutes for an annual exam with vaccinations. Our baby was a happy camper all the way home!

Great customer service. Veterinarian explained my pet's condition, printed out additional materials for me to review and welcomed a call back if I had any additional questions or concerns. Been coming to PG Animal hospital for 10 years now. The older Dr. Khianey has always been so kindhearted and very caring to his patients. Excellent Veterinarian. Found this hospital online and my dog has been in excellent hands since. The younger Dr. Khianey definitely takes after his dad. Very caring and takes him time to explain in details so you understand everything . And Ms. Aminta , so caring and sweet. She takes excellent care of your pet children as if they were her own. Highly recommended hospital.

I wanted to find a vet that was close to home and after doing some research went with PG Animal Hospital. From the very first contact and throughout each of my baby’s appointments they’ve been wonderful. Communication is on point. They are professional and friendly. I love how they’re still following Covid protocols! The various staff I’ve interacted with show obvious delight in the animals they care for. My only complaint is that they don’t accept pet insurance. But, they do work with you by providing estimates of what needs to be done and thereby helping you prioritize any work so you can make the best choice for your pet. Hespera and I thank the staff and vets for their care!

[Update] I rebooked an appointment for my dog and there was a new receptionist who was very pleasant. If service is good and back to normal I will update accordingly.I brought my dog (Apollo) to the Prince George's County Animal Hospital and it was a terrible experience. The vet tech brought my dog to the wrong car, the transfer was done in a very unprofessional way. The vet tech and receptionist were both rude and dismissive. I was also upcharged, as they said my dog was overweight. When I received him, he smelled of feces. I will be searching for a new vet and I do not recommend this provider which is unfortunate because up until this day I have been a fan of this Vet Team for years and have referred several friends to this location, this place has significantly gone down hill and I highly recommend finding another Vet as I will be doing so.

My Baby has been coming here since he was a puppy! He's now a big ball of chocolate fur patient of theirs at 7! Yeah, prices can be pricey, the same if you go to the dentist! I treat my dog like I would my human child! I trust the doctors and the staff there! They truly have Kyron's best interest at heart!
