The prices have gotten a lot worse and it isn't inflation given I can still get staples for far cheaper at Lidl. Sometimes, I am even saving money when I shop the sale items at Whole Foods.The high prices probably help the store offer all their rewards, but $10 off a $70 grocery bill doesn't help me if I don't need $70 in groceries. A gallon of milk for a dollar worth of rewards doesn't help if I can't drink a gallon of milk. If you really shop the sales and digital coupons you can get decent value, but I'd much rather be given a reasonable price without having to go through all the effort of clipping digital coupons.I'd love to like this store, but the prices are just too uniquely bad.

My name is Meredith I was looking for the Rock Creek brand Fruit Punch soda. This has been one of the customer server experiences I've ever had. Rachelle greeted with a friendly smile, professionalism and extremely prompt amazing service! She went out of her way and left the register to help me find it and rung me up at the counter. Her dedication to excellent customer service and professionalism is second to none and reflects great credit upon himself and the Giant brand. My overall rating undoubtedly is 5 out of 5 stars without hesitating. Rachelle deserves a big raise and the biggest recognition/honorable mention for her amazing friendly service, attentiveness and professionalism.

The manager at this Giant Food Store walked passed us (the customer) and he did not acknowledge or greeted us. This is poor customer service from the manager at this store. It is a blessing that the staff working the flower shop and the self check out area, they were pleasant, friendly and helpful. Great job to the staff with a speedy check out service, the long line went pretty quick. This location was clean and it is next to the Prince George's Plaza Metro Station and it’s across the street from Mall at Prince George’s.

The cashier and associate I dealt with on 1/14/2024 were nice except 1.A tall dark skin lady with locs and glasses had an attitude because it's HER JOB to GREET the customer NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. If you going to greet in a nasty tone you can keep that to yourself because YOU DON'T DESERVE a response. She needs to FIX HER ATTITUDE. Thanks to the OTHER associate my question got answered.

Usually I stop by this location if I’m in the neighborhood. Today I went to purchase one of their rotisserie whole chicken to use for my home made soup. Got home, and started to break up the rotisserie chicken to add to my broth. The most horrible smell came from the chicken as I looked deeper I could see the rotten bones and meat of it. I quickly wrapped it up threw it away and bleached everything. I called customer service NOT to ask for a refund but to make them aware of my purchase and to say hey, if mine was bad, I’m sure the rest are too. They transferred me to daily department without a care and I explained the situation to the next person who seemed to not care as well. She said, ok just bring your receipt in for a refund. I said, “ thank you but I’m not calling for a refund I’m call for you all to take the rest of those rotisserie chickens off so no one will get sick.!lShe said she will bring it to her manager’s attention. I hardly doubt it. So FYI please be aware bc the date on the package was current. I would hate for anyone to get sick bc they’re cooking outdated chicken to resell.

OMGOODNESS!!!? I just love this place. Their grapes, apples, oranges, and all other fruit and veggies were so fresh. Their cashiers were very friendly and accommodating. Especially the pretty black lady with the nice nails. Their customer service was nice also. I got a Giants card from her.

Check the shredded cheese in the dairy aisle. I brought 4 packs of them and at least 2 of them had mold in them. Disgusting, have to get dairy from a different store next time!!

They charged me the wrong prices on a number of items. Then the cashier glared at me and got real nasty, as I wanted the right prices!! That doesn't happen very often though. But it is my store, and I go back frequently. They have what I want at reasonable prices, and I can easily find everything I need and want.

I had a very unfortunate experience at this Giant.It wasn't the inventory or presentation but a cashier by the name of Rachelle. I work in the front facing public service industry and I give a tremendous amount of grace to others who work in similar positions or in the food service industry. It is hard work. But this was by far the worse interaction I have ever had. She was rude, demeaning, unprofessional, aggressive and used profane language.I would encourage anyone who comes to this Giant to avoid all interactions with this employee. Best of luck.

I'm a big fan of this grocery store but i'm utterly devasted that they changed their hours to close at 10 instead of midnight. I get off work really late and this used to be my oasis for getting food late night, I used to stop there every night. It's right next to the metro, everything else is closed. It was perfect. So sad this and everything else has stopped all their late night business. But I get it, probably not enough customers to justify being open late.

Very, very bad self checkout experience today. Machine kept stopping. First day helper had to ask someone to come over twice. Finally, no receipt. Waited a bit, but decided to leave. Everyone was having problems. Awful. Have had problems before...this time even worse.even even worse.

Today old men Samuel was very rude to my brother and he had an attitude he didn’t want to scan my rewards card . Abdul Baxter at the seafood counter is awesome! I needed to buy crab legs for a Father’s Day event. He is so knowledgeable. Suggested quantity, provided steaming of shellfish and how to store them prior. I was so thankful for his help, great customer service and willingness to make sure I was happy with order.

The regular lines were several people long, but the self-checkout had no wait. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. In general, I like this store. They keep it organized, clean, and stocked. When there has been a problem, the employees have been nice and helpful.

This is my regular grocery store. They are very professional. I believe that they employees are all treated well, because I don't notice much burnout or turnover. They've been great and helpful during the entire pandemic times. I appreciate how clean and organized this busy store is.

Simply put, 98% of the employees here could care less. Extremely rude and disrespectful. Don’t even think about asking someone for help. I’m sure they’ll reply with their ridiculous automatic response stating thanks for the feedback and we appreciate your business, blah blah blah. But they don’t so save yourself the headache. Go elsewhere, any where but Giant Food in Hyattsville Md.

I'm very unhappy. They messed up my son cake and refused to do it over. And I refuse to pay for it. I don't understand how you put a order in for something and the store wants to do whatever they want to do it is not right.I will never order from there again.

The food here is usually great but the fruit is not always fresh! I had to pick through several bags of mandarins because one name brand was going bad! The employees are always helpful and courteous! I like the variety of brand names and speciality products! The store is always clean! The sales a great!

This Giant was very well stocked. I always love shopping here however, I used their restroom for the first time and it was beyond nasty!!! Feces on every toilet no toilet paper!! I was shocked. I mean this is Giant. When I shopped at a couple of Giant stores in DC they were clean with toilet paper!!
