I came in as an emergency visit for my sweet boy, and while I was grappling with the reality of what was going to occur with him, the vet on duty (Dr. Anna I believe) was nothing but straightforward, understanding, kind, and supportive. When we had to discuss end of life, she was clear and also careful with us and our boy. We didn't get to leave with my dog, but I left with a solid appreciation for this staff and the way they treated us and him. The nurses and desk operators were also wonderful and helped us explore every option.

On 2/14 our baby suffered multiple seizures and our vet told us to rush to Annapolis but CALLED Mash to let them know we might stop if he starts seizing again which he did. That is when me and my husband meet the most nastiest, unmanned, rude , and down right disgusting person I have ever meet! Thank God the vet tech was a sweetheart and we got him meds to make it to Annapolis but by the end of my visit at Mash of it wasn't for the sweet vet tech holding my dying baby I would have told that vile women behind the counter all about herself. Also you heartless wench my baby boy had to be put down . I hope that lady gets fired be she obviously hates animals and should work no where near people ... to the wonderful vet tech thank you for trying to help us I hope nothing but good things come your way

After another vet couldn’t handle diagnosing my dog correctly, MASH of Huntingtown professionally recommended and performed all necessary testing to properly diagnose and provide the correct medication for my dogs recovery. Everyone was friendly and showed they care about their job and the animals they tend to.

Recently brought my cat here for help and ended up having to put him to rest; staff here definitely made it easier on me and my girlfriend, and they were extremely professional when it came to his care and recovering his ashes. Highly recommend them for your pet.

The doggy rehab ladies are so wonderful. Our dog Cooper had a great experience with them over a 6 week rehab process of underwater treadmill, laser therapy, and home exercises following TPLO surgery. Cooper is on his way to a full recovery. I loved getting videos and pictures of his sessions afterwards from them.

The whole team at MASH has been treating my cat Cookie since February. We have had countless appointments with them as they worked tirelessly to help my sweet boy heal a very large and severe burn wound. Dr Rivas is one of the best vets I have ever met, he was so dedicated to helping Cookie and myself, and it was not an easy journey. We experienced countless setbacks, an unsuccessful surgery, and an aggressive non healing wound, and Dr Rivas used every tool in his toolbox to help Cookie get better. We had our last appointment with MASH this morning and Cookie is so close to finally being healed. It wouldn’t have been possible without the team at MASH. I’d recommend this hospital to anyone I know. Thank you MASH and Dr Rivas for being so good to Cookie and I the past 6 months ! We are forever grateful to you all!

Bought me valuable time with my Buddy. I carried him in and he walked out. God bless you all. I have no idea what happens next but whatever happens they gave me the time to prepare for it and enjoy every second with him. I'm so grateful.I would also like to note, looking at the other reviews, they are very fair. He got a sonogram but despite his weakness he still gave them a hard time. To get a better look at the problem they needed to do it again with him sedated and only charged me for the sedation.

I’ve been bringing my golden to MASH for rehab and therapy for a couple of years. Sheila loves the people, treadmill and entire experience. She is still going strong in spite of terrible hips and a touch of arthritis.

Visited for the most unfortunate reason and was treated with love and compassion at every step. The staff were kind and caring and gave us all the time we needed with our boy. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend their services to somebody who ended up in my circumstances.

Everyone at MASH is absolutely wonderful! They went out of their way to help us with our sweet girl and the numerous blood draws following her surgery. When we had another emergency with our other pup who was having seizures (after just leaving there with the first pup), I called en route and they took her right away! Thank you to Dr. Huwe, Dr. Langrall, all the techs and staff at MASH! They are a godsend and deserve way more than 5 stars!

I tried to bring my dog up to this place last week. My dog was completely paralyzed and basically dying. I called to let the staff know that I was bringing her there. I was informed it would be a 6 hour wait due to the vet being in surgery. I told the person my dog probably wouldn't live another 6 hours. The person then told me I should take my dog somewhere else or expect to have a 6 hour wait. I told her again that my dog would not live for six hours. She told me to take her somewhere else such as Annapolis. I told her I didn't think my dog would live thar long. I was informed again that if I brought her to MASH it would be a 6 hour wait. I called the Annapolis ER for pets. They encouraged me to go to MASH. I told them MASH would not see me without having me wait for 6 hours. I wound up driving to Annapolis with my dog in the back of the car. The staff at Annapolis were amazing, but my dog had died on the way there and obviously couldn't help ..... i am disgusted with the response from MASH. I tried to take my dog there 3 years ago for knee surgery and they refused to see my dog then, without a referral from my vet.I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We are so grateful for them. They took great care of our boy. We were in need of vet care over a weekend for a dog we adopted not even 24 hours prior. He had ripped open his incision before we brought him home and we hadn’t realized till we got him home. He should have been wearing an E-collar (cone) however we quickly realized why he wasn’t. He became violently irritated with it after waking up from sedation. They had to sedate him again just for us to get him home. Ultimately we had to take it off and monitor him closely so he does not mess with the incisions again. Our hearts were breaking for our boy with as much as he had endured in just 24 hours. A new place, a new home, new people, surgery all over again. We are grateful for MASH for taking great care of him. Veterinary care in an emergency is never cheap but they did everything they could to keep the cost down for us. And thankfully it wasn’t too bad of a bill. I would recommend them! All of the staff were very good people as well! Kind hearted and understanding.

This was my first experience with an emergency vet, and I couldn’t be happier. My Pomeranian was experiencing back pain that had me very concerned so I took her in to be looked at. All of the staff was so friendly and reassuring. They kept me very informed of what was happening with my girl, gave me options, and overall provided an effective remedy. The overall visit and medication was the most affordable vet bill I’ve ever received which really shocked me! I usually leave the vet feeling dissatisfied and irritated, but this experience was amazing for me. It’s been about a week into our medication/rest routine and Jojo is already seeming so much better. I will absolutely take my dogs back here and will recommend to anyone!!!

Over the past 10 years, I have brought four dogs to M.A.S.H. for rehab and medical visits. Each animal was treated with expert care and the doctors and staff have always been very professional and kind. My dogs have been rehab patients for months at a time and it has made dramatic improvements in their lives. The rehab staff is always available by email to answer any questions that I have between sessions and they take the time to train you on the exercises so that you can perform them at home. As a working professional, I also greatly appreciate the flexibility in scheduling rehab appointments. You simply cannot find a better place to take your animals for rehab.

We had to bring our dog here, about 4 weeks ago. While we didn't get the outcome that we had hoped for, the doctor and staff couldn't have been kinder or more compassionate. While my husband and I said our goodbyes and dealt with everything, the lovely lady at the reception desk kept an eye on our toddler. We were given as much time as we needed, with no rushing (although, there is never enough time to say goodbye to one you love so deeply).

I had to take my sweet boy here to have his leg amputated after an unfortunate incident. During what I consider to be one of the most difficult moments of my life, everyone there was so wonderful and thoughtful during the entire process. They were all so caring and reassuring and I felt like my boy was in the best hands possible. I was able to call and check in on him any time I wanted and they treated him extremely well while he was there.Pricing was very reasonable as well.

Took my senior black lab for an UTI. She was treated and I was kept informed during the visit. Yes there was a wait but when isn’t there a wait at an Emergency Hospital. During these times of businesses being short staffed we should all be a bit more forgiving. I will be taking my Senior girl back due to not being able to get her looked at anywhere else.

I am so blessed and beyond thankful that we were referred to this place for our beloved family dog. After a consultation here, our boy was diagnosed with bone cancer. While we were completely devastated by the diagnosis, everyone at MASH was so compassionate and reliable. It felt like I called them daily to ask questions on how to care and comfort our boy and they answered with sincere compassion every time. I never felt as if I was bothering them with another phone call, even the ones I made after midnight. I will always recommend this place for anyone needing a specialty hospital for animals. They genuinely care.

2nd visit here. Dr. & staff were wonderful both time. 1at visit was referred from the Vet office. So, my veterinarian called them & they were expecting him for an emergency surgery. 2nd visit was an emergency/ sick. Not too long of a wait. Happy with their care of my pup

Simply remarkable. Our newly adopted kitty needed invasive surgery. Too small to operate, we had to wait a few weeks for her to gain weight. Meantime, we and the team from MASH developed a game plan.Excellent bedside manner, better than some “people doctors”. Kept us well informed and talked trough all options, procedures and what to expect.Answered all our questions and had real discussions about the situation. Called in many times with questions and were met with understanding and enthusiasm. Frank, but not cold. Warm, but didn’t sugar coat.We live an hour away and had to drop kitty off day of surgery and she would stay overnight. MASH called pre and post surgery and kept us well informed. We called overnight and were met with patience and understanding. They keep diligent watch over our kitty.Surgery was a great success. MASH performed a tiny little miracle. Many will want to know about cost. We felt the level of care, the complexity of the surgery, attention to detail, full time over night monitoring and quality of the bedside manner made every dollar more than reasonable. We felt that they were just as invested in our kitty’s health and outcome as we were.Thank you MASH!

For such a scary time in our lives, fretting over the well-being and future of our loved one, MASH has been a wonderful resource and care center. The 24 hour staff is always sweet and friendly when answering my any-hours phone calls. When we originally visited for a pre-surgery consultation, we were wholly informed, I had a zillion more questions but they had nothing but patience and answers for me, & best of all we didn’t feel like we were being pressured into taking the surgical care route. When we decided to pursue surgery, they had open scheduling and were very supportive. Dr Oakley and his staff did amazing work, and my puppy is always excited to return for her follow up visits and rehab. The rehab center located in the same building is staffed with caring people, who apparently sat with my puppy while she was in the initial 24 hr observation period after her surgery. The Physical Therapist knows her stuff, is no nonsense when it comes to explaining and setting expectations, for both dog and owner. The Surgery, medication, rehab, and follow up visits were all packaged and we paid once for the 2-3 month process. MASH was recommended to me by 2 vets and a vet-owner and operated pet specialty store in California where we live.

I can confidently recommend the facilities, services, and especially the professionals at MASH/Canine Comebacks Rehabilitation. We have been seeing the rehab crew there for over ten years to help our injured and special needs kids (cats as well as dogs!). Scheduling, billing, medical records updates and sharing with your vet are all consistently timely and thorough. Consultations with other medical organizations are no problem. Chris, Drew, and Marla are rather amazing at getting good results even when others (vets, families) have given up. I have numerous stories of how our kids were/are so much better off because of their expertise, experience, and genuine concern for the well-being of their patients. From aqua therapy, massage/pressure techniques, spinal adjustment, muscle rehab and repair, laser treatment, even digestive track re-alignment, I have never seen a more knowledgeable and caring crew. No, I am not a paid spokespeson. I just have a lot experience with them to say these words.

I've been taking my agility dog to MASH for physical therapy and maintenance for a few years. It is very important to me to have my dog checked over for muscle spasms or stiffness. A great way to do this is to have the rehabilitative therapists at MASH check over my dog and do active stretching exercises. Additionally, it is important to me to maintain my dog's muscle mass to help prevent injuries. MASHhas an underwater treadmill that my dog uses to increase muscle strength without stress on the joints. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Chris does a wonderful job checking my dog over and ensuring she is ready to train and compete.

Awful experience. Needed emergency care for our dog after an attack by another dog. This place was the one recommended on our vet's answering machine, so that's where we went. Got there before 9 AM and waited an hour to see a vet tech. She took our dog back and told us to go home and wait to hear from them. I was worried about my dog; she had blood all over her face and numerous bite marks all over her head. After waiting 4 hours, my husband called to check on her progress. She still hadn't been seen yet! Apparently, they had more important cases to see first and she went to the bottom of the list. Not acceptable to me! If you don't have enough vets to handle the workload on a 24/7 facility, then you get more. Poor management in my opinion. It is now almost ten hours since we dropped our dog off and she is still not home. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Don't go here ever!

I have an elderly cat that was recently diagnosed with some health ailments. He recently suffered a broken leg (he is unable to support his weight on three legs). Keep in mind that I have visited MASH a total of four times. It took a total of four visits for us to learn that the vet at our first visit essentially ruined all chances for my cat to heal from his injury. To give some background, I was recommended to take him to MASH by another vet that could not treat my cat’s injury. Upon our arrival, my cat was taken to the exam room and he underwent procedures that I am still unaware of the specifics. The vet then informed us that our cat was dying and she recommended euthanasia. She offered absolutely no test results that showed why my cat needed to be euthanized that night. It was my choice to take my cat home that night, if he was going to pass. In order to increase his comfort level, I pleaded with the vet to at least put a splint on his leg so he would be able to have some mobility. I was also sent home with a plethora of pain medication. This has been over a month ago and my cat is still alive and walking around using a splint for his leg. At the first vet’s recommendation, I have been taking my cat for regular visits to MASH to replace his splint. Not until the fourth visit did I learn that the vet at my first visit did NOT properly align my cat’s leg. This knowledge was gained when a different MASH vet noticed that the incorrect bones were trying to fuse together to heal. Due to muscle contractions, she was unable to align my cat’s leg. Now, my cat has been left in a terrible situation. Since his leg was not aligned properly initially and the healing process has begun, a splint is now an ineffective treatment. Leaving reparative surgery or amputation the only two available avenues. He is both elderly and suffers from diabetes, so surgery to repair his leg or amputation were not recommended by my regular vet. I would absolutely NOT recommend taking a beloved pet to MASH. Although they charge “human” prices for care, they treat pets like they are random animals and not family members.

Praying I use the right words here. We met our puppy Maj. Nugget at 6 weeks. My children loved this dog at first sight. He was given to us for free at 8 weeks because his leg was deformed. I was worried. He walked on his ankle because his paw was literally turned the wrong direction. Thank God for this hospital because he now has made a full recovery. I can't thank the doctors and staff enough!

Slow. Got there at 8 and didn’t get my pet back until 1145pm and all they did was an exam and subQ fluids even though they called me at 9:45pm with the diagnosis. Two hours to discharge is ridiculous. Their prices are astronomical as well. SubQ fluids should only cost 20-40 and they charged me 70 dollars.
