This store is neat. They have all kinds of good dried fruits, and nuts,and candies. The deli makes some amazing sandwiches. It was hard to chose between the list because everything was so appealing. The prices for the sandwiches are very reasonable as well as everything else. This place has all the vibes of country hospitality.

Wonderful store and staff. Great food. They have rotisserie whole chicken and wings. Homemade country sausage, stuffed ham and more. It's just the best country store around. Oh yeah, they have wine, liquor, and ice cold beer.

THE WORST SERVICE/CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! My 82 year old grandmother drove 30 mins to get oysters from here. She always has for many years. Well this ONE TIME,they were rotten. Every other time (dozens over the years) they have been wonderful. She called Friday when she bought them to get them replaced. However she was told, nothing could be done until the manager could talk to her... Which already is rediculous because they are rotten, so with the receipt and the rotten item, she should have been able to get them replaced, but no. Anyways, The manager never called that day(Friday.) She and we, called the next day(saturday.) Got the run around again. No help could be given. Here we are on Sunday and The assistant manager finaly came to the phone , just to tell us Nothing could be done until the manager gets in. Now it doesn't even matter because these were specifically for the super bowl. I cannot believe that an 82 year old woman that has been shopping here for over 20 years, was not able to get just one item replaced, even though she had the item itself for proof, and the receipt.

I ordered a steak and cheese not a blackened steak and cheese. The roll, steak, and onions were all burnt. They should have thrown this out, not served it to a customer.

You think it’s cool making fun of elderly people . A “gentleman “ which I can’t even call him called my grandma flabby arms extremely disrespectful we wanted to order there cauliflower burger since my grandmother is on the diet and that’s the respect she gets terrible

Last week when Bowens had the Crab Cake Sandwich Daily Special, I ordered 3 of them for my family. The crab cake was pathetic in size compared to the large bun it was put on, and definitely over cooked. Needless to say, I was highly disappointed and will not be returning. I called the store and they didn’t seem to be concerned or surprised.

This place has gone waaay downhill from when it was Bowens. Kitchen orders always wrong, pump 1 needs to be maintained. Ive told cashiers that it stops every few cents. Their response was " we told the owner and nothing has been done about it" I avoid going there now. Sad.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. The food was horrible. Order was wrong had to take it back. Got home 2nd order was wrong. Bacon was so burnt, had to throw everything away. Will not be patronizing ever again.

We went to the deli recently and we had to wait for an hour to get our 3 sandwiches and some soup. Then when they brought it out, they had forgotten a whole sandwich. Therefore, we waited atleast another 20 minutes. Place has gone downhill since under new management. The guy who took our order talked in a mumble and he was very rude. It once was a good place and I'd like it if they did it how they used to. Thanks!

This surely isn’t the old Bowen’s country grocery store! I understand there is going to be changes but don’t bring in people that aren’t pleasant at the register, that act like they could careless about being there. Now there are a few workers that do speak as soon as people come in the door and are happy to see you and check you out. Wish they would not have stopped getting the H&M bread it is better than Wonder bread it was so good they also stopped carrying mini gummy’s they so still carry the best fresh hamburger as of now it may change. Hopefully they don’t keep changing from the old ways.

Good meat. Their delmonico steaks are fantastic. Butcher will cut special for you. Deli department has really great sandwiches and salads. Employees are friendly and helpful.

I have gone here ever since I can remember! This store has good selection of drinks, meats, and common grocery items! There is also now alcohol here! The homemade treats in the deli are great! I grew up on the dirt cake for my special treat!

Very friendly staff and good selection of items for the size of the store but I have found the deli sandwiches to be lacking. Roast beef is particularly dreadful. Salads sometimes taste like their fridge. Not fresh. Good general grocery store but I now go elsewhere for prepared deli food.

This is a step back in time!! The most friendly people I have ever visited!! The best ice cream, beautiful steaks, a candy aisle to die for!!! It's an experience! Stop in! I highly recommend it and all ages love it!!! Oh, get some Amish cake!!!

Hate to post a bad review for those who liked this place. I order 5 sandwiches. Ended up waiting 25 minutes as I watched 10 different people get their food when I ordered before them. One was a family of 4 and they too left with their food before me.When I got home one sandwich had a hair it and the other, which was a BLT, had no tomato! All sandwiches were dry and flavorless. No love here. Better off going to Subway and even save more too.

When you need that 1 thing...this is the place to go! The one place you can find that roast chicken for dinner and usually not sold out. Boars head lunch meats, their deli has friendly staff. Can't leave without grabbing a Hershey's ice cream cone before leaving. Love this place!

UPDATE: Bowen's has been sold to a new owner and the name has changed to "BONES". Always a pleasure visiting Bowen's grocery. You never know who you might run in to and it's a happy place to visit!

Buyer beware! This may have been the worst “Eye-talian” style submarine sandwich I have ever eaten. It had a few pieces of burnt salami on it and was covered in pickles. I ate the lettuce and cheese and the rest went in the garbage. In their defense…I think they had some new employees that clearly had not been trained!
