The service at Havre de Grace used to be awful, and I mean horrible!But ever since "Ali" - The Pharmacist, took over, its gotten so much better. He is professional, punctual, and very easy to work with. He cares! and always makes it right.It reflects in the staff , Jason helped me today and his positive , helpful attitude and good customer service made such an impact on me. I'm loyal to CVS and this location because of ALI - the pharmacist . Keep up the good work .

The new pharmacist, Alaaeldin is an elite pharmacist. He cares about the patients and goes out of his way to ensure you are being taken care of and getting the most of your insurance plans. I was a little concerned with switching to CVS because of the negative reviews here, but this man has completely turned the place around!

We picked up 2 prescriptions from here yesterday. I can't commend the pharmacy staff enough. The cashier was helping a few customers at the same time. The pharmacist was working at lighting speed. We only had to wait a few minutes. The cashier up front was not professional and avoided me. When I finally got her attention she told me I could ring myself up.

This is the most unfriendly and has the most unwilling personnel. I was out of my diabetic sensors for a week because I was constantly told it was out of stock. When I spoke to the pharmacist to see if there were other pharmacies in the area that had it, he walked over and pulled it off the shelf. Also, no matter what time I put in for my refill, or what time my doctor calls in my prescriptions, I ALWAYS have to wait. Let's not forget they never answer the phone..... Go to Rite Aid across the street. I have had nothing but great experiences there.

I am done with CVS entirely. Everytime I get a prescription sent there something goes wrong. This time I stopped by after my eye apt to pick up my prescription, they tell me an hour and a half. I get home, which is 5 mins away, and I get a phone call from the automated system telling me it will be ready at 7:45pm when the pharmacy closes at 8pm. So I get there right before they close and they tell me they are out of stock of that product and I should come back tomorrow around the same time. 🙄 Why do I have to jump through these hoops just for my prescription.

Zero stars if I could. Waited on the phone for over an hour to speak to a pharmacist. No one ever answered. So I took myself and my 2 sick kids out to see what was going on with my prescription to only wait 30 minutes in line(myself and one person behind me)without screaming for someone in the back to come help me. Of course I left without my medication and told them to transfer it to Aberdeen in which the Aberdeen location had it ready for me from the time I called to make sure it was transferred to the time I got to Aberdeen. All within 15 minutes. The pharmacist at Havre de Grace was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in the pharmaceutical field on April 2nd around 4pm.

If I could give no stars I would! Terrible. No one answers phones and the wait time is ridiculous. I had an appointment to get a vaccine but ten minutes after my appointment I was informed it wasn’t ready and was never “thawed”. I would then need to wait another hour for it to thaw. I then went across the street to Rite Aid and had great service!

They won't answer the phone!!!! I have to call at least 20 different times a day and hope someone will pick up. I have a prescription that gets filled every month on a Monday. I take it in and low and behold out of stock will be in tomorrow. Well today was the day and after calling 20 times they said it will be ready in a hour and we'll expedite it. Go back at 5pm and they give me 4 out of 120 and said come back tomorrow. This place needs reincarnated to a Happy Harry's fast. It can't be any worse!!!🤬

Waited in line 45 minutes before even talking to someone (drive thru was closed). When it finally was my turn, they didn't have the mfr I needed so the tech had to get authorization from the pharmacist (who was giving vaccinations). When the pharm was back in the office area, she took another customer behind me because the tech was busy with someone else to get my message to the pharmacist. What a mess. I'm going to see about transferring my prescription elsewhere. They're just too understaffed here.

Worstttt pharmacy in the freaking state and has been for soooo long. On hold 30min got hung up on, On hold another 30 finally got answered, told hold on let me check how long til your prescription is filled, on hold another 30min, told i could pick it up anytime before 8. Left my house inmediateky got there within ten min was told they can’t fill my prescription because it’s in progress in aberdeen. told them no, aberdeen said they have no clue when they’d be able to fill it that havre de grace as it in stock and my doctor called it in to havre de grace and had aberdeen transfer it. they said no we don’t transfer that medication, i said that makes no sense I literally just got off the phone with THIS location, she said well do you want me to call over aberdeen see if they have it for you, I say sure, she called aberdeen, who tells her it was sent over to them, then has the pharmacist fill it while I’m there.

It’s so bad. I don’t even totally blame the people working. They have been hung out to dry. There just simply isn’t enough people working. The pharmacists have to fill the medications AND they also need to give boosters and vaccinations. When I recently got my COVID booster, the pharmacist seemed very flustered. Rubbed the alcohol wipe so hard on my arm and even kinda punched my arm before giving me the vaccine. This was the most painful vaccine I think I have ever received. Please go somewhere else for these poor people.

What can I say. The absolute most incompetent pharmacy in the entire universe! Called 6 scripts in a week ago Verified with Dr to make sure they were called in prior. Got there oops I guess we lost that. No apology. Wait and take a seat and we'll fill them. Understand this is not our 1st issue here. But every time it's something. Communication is non-existent here. Just try to call once! lol

I have had many horrible experiences here. The worst was being yelled and laughed at by a pharmacy technician and told it was doubtful they would fill my prescription. My daughter just had surgery and she needed her medicine, I was told by the manager that they just have too much on their plate, and that was early in the morning. I didn't need it filled at that moment and was willing to come back. Their lack of basic customer service was appalling. We are currently switching to another pharmacy.

I would definitely give no stars if I could. The CVS pharmacy is horrible! Every time I've ever had to deal with them for a Prescription it's never been a good experience. I finally decided to write a review because of what I was told today. My critical medication was phoned into CVS at 10am I called at 1pm because I still didn't receive a text from them. The lady who answered 30min later told me the pharmacist hasn't checked voice mails because they are busy giving shots. I had to drive 45min to and from my doctors to get a paper script. Still at 4pm nothing from CVS. So I went to Rite Aid and got my meds in 30min. On 9/3 right before a holiday weekend!!!! Never again will I step foot in CVS!! I should never have had to go through all of that to get a critical med while not feeling well.

There’s no option for 0 stars or that’s what I’d select. Overfill one prescription and refuse to fill another one because their pharmacist is busy (doing nothing besides standing around) First they tell me to come back in an hour and it will be ready. I come back and they say it’ll be another 20 minutes. Wait around and a half hour goes by and I ask how much longer and they say they have no idea because the pharmacist is busy. When I see the pharmacist she is standing around chatting it up with a friend. There’s a time and place for that and it’s not when you have customers waiting on you. Then she proceeds to get defensive towards me and unprofessional. This isn’t me to leave a bad review (first time actually) but this place needs new management. Very disappointed.

A big fat ZERO would be more appropriate for this pharmacy. Never answers phone; sends notices for filled scripts when none were ordered; long lines -- VERY long lines; doesn't properly bill prescription provider; ignores people; clueless staff (never heard of Blue Cross/Blue Shield coverage); gave me someone else's script; impossible to speak with anyone on phone. Now on hold for second time for over 30 MINUTES!!!! Never will step into this drug store again. Transferring all my scripts to Wegman's.

I'm glad to add my post to those who thought this unit had the worst service of any pharmacy they had ever been to. Some manager no doubt told them that speed is far more important than customers. They refuse to answer the phone. They demand an hour to fill even the most simple prescription. They demand that handicapped people walk into the store to start service. I suppose the stress and anger they generate in customers is good for business, since it generates more physician visits and more prescriptions. Personally, I'm just disgusted that a national business would promote this sort of practice.

When I call the CVS pharmacy, I literally wait for no less than 18 minutes for someone to answer the phone call. Not even a pick up to ask if I can continue to wait on hold. I have to hear the same music over and over again. When I visit the pharmacy, I'm lucky to get waited on within 10 minutes. If I've put in multiple prescription orders, why do they need to tell me (when I go to pick up) that my order isn't ready and that one of the meds is not in stock? Could they not call me to tell me that my order is not completely ready? The pharmacy service is absolutely terrible - For as busy as they are, they need to really get it together. I know that the Target CVS in Aberdeen is a bit further, but it may be worth my time and effort with less stress dealing with this store. It seems that the prices are cheaper as well.The front of the store cashiers.... well they rock, otherwise, my star rating would be 1/2 a star....

This place has been a joke lately. Long lines all the time. You get text meds are ready and they are not when you get there. They don't bill the insurance company when filling it and then you have to wait even longer.Recently they cause my son to have to wait for his meds. Someone gave him a partial and told him they had to order rest, well I get a text it's ready and when we get there it's not and now it's a problem cause whoever did the partial put it in as while script.No one knew how to handle it but luckily we have receipt where it said he was owed the rest but they are still trying to solve the issue. So we had to call corporate office cause someone was suppose to call back today and of course no call from anyone! Avoid place if you can. Totally rediculous!

This pharmacy just keeps getting worse and worse. When you think it can’t get any worse it does. They continue to set new records on just how bad the service is. It’s a shame. This used to be a good store/pharmacy. If I could rate it lower than one star I would. Please don’t even remotely consider using this pharmacy…

I've come here several times for my personal prescriptions and to purchase random items I need and I have never had a bad experience. I always find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I wanted to be sure to post a positive review as it made me sad to see so many negative ones. Happy customer here!

This place is a mess! The pharmacy always manages to screw things up. I’m sure they’re understaffed and they should pay their employees better, but I resent having to suffer for CVS’s shortcomings.

Well, I kind of hate to do this, because some of the staff here are doing their best. That being said, if you are one of the good ones at this CVS, by all means, ESCAPE! They are way understaffed for the amount of customer traffic that they get. This is a very convenient location, and tons of people unwittingly stop here because it is on the way to things. But it is not up to par. Why, Why WHY don't they hire more people? I've waited in line for a very long time often here. I've begun to transfer everything to the Rite Aid, right across the street, and never crowded.

I've dealt with pharmacies since I was 18. My insurance forced me to move from Walgreens to CVS. This CVS is literally the slowest place ever to get medicine from. Staff is nice. Good luck calling, I was on hold for 30+minutes. And never come here trying to go quick. The drive through for medicine takes 25+ minutes which is insane. I'm so over this pharmacy

For one no one will answer the phone ..as you walk in you hear the phone saying one call one call none stop .second the lines are so long anytime of the day they either need more help or better staff..you get a text the stuff is ready I come an hour after that text and it's still being worked on she says ..how? Better business bureau is next .. how you wait another 40 minutes after in store ?

I grew up getting prescriptions at CVS. All of my married life (40 years) CVS. Have lived in many place in the United States and always used CVS. I am changing today. The CVS in Havre de Grace is terrible. Today is the last straw. My doctor called in a prescription on Monday the 28. Went to pick it up after and hour was told they are working on it come back in an hour. I called first. Got the automated voice machine. Said still working on it. Here it is 3 days later and I still don’t have it. Augmentin is a common antibiotic. I call and found out they are want to give me amoxicillin similar to augmentin and were looking for it. When I called on hold for 14 minutes and 36 sec spoke to pharmacist and after awhile of talking and putting on hold twice she hung up. Bad customer service. Bad place and I still don’t have the medicine.

If you have a simple question or need to update your insurance do not bother calling the pharmacy. Everytime I have called I have waited on hold a minimum of 30 minutes. Unfortunately my insurance requires me to have prescriptions filled at cvs. I refuse to believe that the pharmacy is so busy that they cannot answer the phone.

Has to be the worse pharmacy in the state…never have scripts ready…tell me they don’t have anything sent from docs, then miraculously find it. Drive thru line is the most ridiculous wait, average wait time per car is 20 mins. They need to make changes. Moving my scripts to Walgreens.
