Cool small town hardware store. Decent variety of merchandise to save an hour total drive to Hagerstown. Knowledgeable and eager to help staff. Very small town feel. Prices at times are more than expected but worth avoiding a farther drive.

I am committed to shopping local and Mr. Hardware makes it easy. Today I got a stone delivery at my home by Owner Garth and wife Dee. What wonderful people! The store harkens back to Plubells Hardware where I grew up, the old hardware store. Lots and lots of stuff, great friendly staff, and hugely convenient for me. We recently moved here, and I’ll be stopping here frequently!

Amazing store, absolutely everything you need for your home improvement project, to everything you need to take care of your lawn and garden. To add to it, they even carry fishing supplies along with rifle, shotgun, and certain handgun ammunition. If you live in or around Hancock Maryland, make it a point to give your business to Mr. Hardware. If you are considering a chain store such as home depot for cheaper prices, just consider this. How much do you pay in gas to drive to Hagerstown, Cumberland, or wherever else to go to such stores? In the end, you pay the same. Point being, help the small business. The rest have made their millions.

This is what I picture, when I think hardware store. It's not crazy big. If they don't have it, they will tell where you might get it or when it will be in. It's not some 18 year old, shrugging their shoulders, saying I'll have to ask somebody.

Very good service. The staff were very courteous. The only negative thing was pricing. I believe that's due to being the only hardware in the area.
