Well stocked and very friendly/helpful staff. Best customer service of any grocery store I've ever been to. Instead of telling you where a product is located, they take you right to it. Registers are well staffed with short wait times. One day I went, it started raining while I was in the store. They supplied me with a large umbrella on my way out, like WOW!

Prices are a little high but the store is clean and the employees are very nice. The lines are never long because there are lots of employees, they get you right through.

Very large variety in the food categories as well as beverages & other household essentials. So far the ladies I have interacted with at the register have always been so nice & engage in a little chit-chat while waiting in line or while they're ringing your items up.They're always happy to help you find something if you can't seem to locate it on your own.

Great selection of fruits and vegetables. Nicely priced meat department. Impressive Animal food isle. Great selection on household products isles. Foodlion is a very clean store. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I enjoy the deli and bakery as well. A all together nice shopping experience every time

$20 for 2 ply 24 pk of Hoteles elite toilet paper that I couldn't even find on google is alittle much and you have to use a good bit before you actually feel clean! Rip off!

We have been going to this store since it changed hands from Pittman's some time back. Pittman's was decent but it was obvious they had gotten to a point in life where they were uninspired and tired. Food Lion did a fantastic job of revamping the space and keeping it bright, clean and well-stocked. The staff are always pleasant, polite, helpful and sociable. The produce section is awesome with some local offerings and often great deals. Kudos to Food Lion for keeping a top notch grocery store in the community that often seems forgotten or overlooked by other chains. On top of all that, the bathroom is immaculate. How rare is that? We are thankful!

Some of the employees are great! But more often than not, a cashier will ring up an extra item in multiples, and cost us $2-8 more. What are the reproductions? Yes, we could call customer service for them to "make right". But that doesn't pay for gas. Would be 5 stars, but this happens nearly every time. You could say we should check the reciept before leaving, but seriously, whom is at fault? Lackluster.UpdateHasn't happened in a while.

There was a woman that must not have liked her job , she was very rude,, I understand we all have things going on in our personal lives, it's wasn't just once in awhile. Thank God she got a different job at the bank...

Back when it was locally own under a different name it was a great grocery store. Now it's corporate own and what made it great is gone. The bakery is near gone few selected items. Hot bar is reduced and the atmosphere is stale.

Polite staff, yummy chicken wings in the hot bar, good sales! Went today to pick up a birthday cake and encountered 2 very rude deli workers. A welcome or thank you go a long way for customer service.

Thank you for finally bringing a store with a great variety of foods to Hancock. All of the employees are way nicer than Pittmans, and are actually helpful. Everything is a lot more organized now. Good prices too! Keep up the great work here!

Perfect place to shop for groceries. Just big enough to have just about everything you need and not too big that it takes you a long time to get your shopping done. They have reasonable prices and great sale prices each week and usually a quick checkout. I have always liked Food Lion.

Food lion was great! They sell actual food! Can you believe it? And all this time I thought it was just a clever name! They have almost everything you could ever want! I picked up some chicken livers, some mashed potatoe flakes ( they come in a box ), a log of butter, some seltzer water and, a very large can of baked beans for a party I'm planning. Its going to be great!

Great place to shop ..just wish it had the refrigerated dog food like the Berkeley Springs has. I think this Hancock,Md.location is better than Berkeley Springs store aside from the dog food issue.
