Brian kept me notified throughout the weaning process with our new baby Sebastian. He also provided me with care tips on how to calm him and feed him. Sebastian is extremely docile and after only 2 day at home he is shoulder sitting, doesn't bite and is a healthy baby. If we decide to grow our flock, I would definitely come here again and recommend The Parrot's Nest to anyone in search of a well cared for feathered baby!

The owner Brian (I think) really knows his stuff. I really enjoyed talking to him, and he told me things the vet didn’t even know. My sun conure is doing AMAZING he is the sweetest most playful boy ever. Wouldn’t trade him from the world so glad I got him from here. Support this business, not only are the birds healthy and well cared for, they are priced very well.

I have purchased two birds from Brian. He is awesome, patient and helpful. I went in with an idea of what type of bird I wanted but with multiple conversations with him over time, I ended up with two birds that I hadn't given much thought to. He took the time to find out what my lifestyle was like and what I was looking for and suggested birds that would better suit my life. I am very happy with my choice and our birds are SO happy! We ultimately bought our bird elsewhere (only because he didn't have the species we were looking for and wasn't expecting to get any soon), but the owner was incredibly kind and knowledgeable when we stopped in with some questions. He gave us lots of great info, clarified some things we'd come across while doing research, and actually helped us make our decision to get a black capped conure instead of another conure breed because of its temperament. He also eased our anxiety as first time bird owners. He is genuinely caring and very knowledgeable, and I highly recommend!

My family and I were so happy with our visit!!! We ended up adding 2 lory birds to our family!! We love The parrots nest !! The man that works this store is such a great guy. He loves birds and it clearly shows in the way he helps his customers. This is the kind of store you want to patronize because they put the health and well-being of the animal first. My daughter wanted a bird for years, but I was not ready for one. Until we want to parrots nest and fell in love with a dusky conure. Brian said he would make us a good first bird, he was right. Brian was so helpful, we love going to visit.

We orginally went for a budgie, but fell in love with a hand-fed baby cockatiel. He's a beautiful, healthy, friendly bird, and we love him. If you're looking for a bird, whether novice or experienced bird caretaker, this is the place. It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip for a healthy pet. The owner is a wealth of experience and knowledge.

The owner is very knowledgeable and will spend the time with you. We drive 40 min to shop here just for his personal touch. He also breeds his own birds. No "Birdie Mill Birds"

This store is amazing for pet bird owners from parakeets to conures to cockatoos to macaws. The owner/operator is a wonderful person full of knowledge and experience which he is always willing to share. The store carries birds of course but also cages, a wide selection of foods and treats as well as toys and some grooming supplies and other accessories. If you are tired of the big chain stores go see Brian at the Parrots Nest of Maryland! He's also on Facebook!

I entered this cute little store with a list of questions about cockatiels, and the owner spent at least 45 minutes patiently answering each one. I left a happy customer after making a deposit on a little pied cockatiel and look forward to picking it up in a few weeks once it's weaned!

After months and months of research we walked into Parrots Nest of MD. My husband and I were looking for a macaw but this cute little guy caught my eye. He’s healthy and is the most interactive bird we own :) Brian was extremely helpful and full of knowledge. I could sit in there for hours and talk with him about the birds. It was nice, but pretty small area and hard to get around, and kind of in the middle of no where, most of the stores around are closed down lol. Other than that it was pretty nice and the man working there was really nice to me!
