By far the BEST groomer around! Katie is not only super talented and professional but she takes pride in her work. Summer Meadows Pet Spa is always super squeaky clean and provides fur babies with a safe and quiet atmosphere while they are in her care. Katie goes above and beyond while grooming my long hair kitty each and every time. The amount of compassion she has for pets is obvious and comforting I can’t say enough good things about Katie & her business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND using her as your groomer!

I was looking for a lying cut for my Himalayan cat He is 14 years old. I search numerous groomers I settled on summer meadows spa..I am so happy that I did.. Drop my cat off to Katie. I can tell right away that she was professional from the appearance and from speaking with her a few ties prior. My Himalayan is 14 years old and has never been bathed or had a haircut.. My Kitty is like my child. And you don't just trust anyone with your child.. Drop them off. An hour and a 1/2 later. Katie let me know that Kitty was great and was ready to be picked up.. Now I did extensive research in Google many groomers and pictures.. When I picked up my cat. He looked so adorable with his lion cut. Far excited my expectations. I am so happy that I found Katie and summer meadows pet spa.. My Kitty is 14 years old. And I can tell that he was very comfortable with Katie. Thank you so much and I will continue to bring him on a regular basis to be groomed.. Most importantly that I know he is in loving hands.Katie I cannot thank you enough.

Katie is seriously THE BEST! I wouldn’t trust my dogs with anyone else. She is so wonderful with both of our dogs, and our very anxious golden now runs in the salon and jumps in her tub! She is so kind and gentle with both of our boys and they just love her! Couldn’t imagine taking our four legged friends to anyone other than Katie. I love that she doesn’t crate the animals either and they get free run of the shop while she’s grooming! I feel so comfortable leaving them with her, don’t look any further, she’s the best!!

Katie is such an incredible groomer! She is kind, patient, and is incredibly understanding and flexible with her scheduling. My little chihuahua is usually extremely anxious and aggressive when it comes to getting his nails trimmed, but when I take him to see Katie he is calm, relaxed, and behaves like a perfect little angel. She is attentive, soothing, and her love for animals is reflected in the exceptional quality services she provides to her clients. We have a 16 1/2-year-old cat, Lulu, who is very frail and unstable on her feet. She isn’t able to groom herself anymore so we began looking for a grooming facility to get her cleaned up and feeling more like herself. I found Summer Meadows Pet Spa online. After corresponding with Katie, I knew this was where I wanted to bring Lulu. Katie was very sympathetic to Lulu’s desperate need of a bath and grooming, and she worked hard to find room in her schedule to accommodate us. I also really liked her qualifications for cat care since it can be quite different than grooming a dog and because Lulu is so unstable on her feet and needed extra loving care and a gentle touch. Lulu did wonderfully and looks phenomenal, like a new cat actually! I would highly recommend both Katie and her pet spa for your cats who need some TLC. In fact, we immediately scheduled an appointment for another fur baby, our very large and furry Maine Coon. Can’t wait to get him all spiffy! Thank you so much Katie!

I don't always have the best way of describing my Shih Tzu's haircut as it changes seasonally, but Katie understands whatever it is I'm trying to say- she is hands on, patient, and will explain my thoughts back to me. I feel comforted leaving my pup at Summer Meadows as it is very clean, well kept and cage-free which leaves for an actual spa-like, stress-free experience for our furbabies. When I called to make the appointment for my puppy, the first thing Kathy asked was how much does your dog way. I told her 64 pounds. It looks like she did a great job bathing the puppy he was clean he smelled lovely but she up charged me because she said she didn’t expect him to be so big and hairy. $80 to wash a dog is outrageous, especially when other local pet spas rated equally well are only charging $45 for services that include even more than what Kathy did. I do feel for her knowing that she does have issues with her wrist, but she could have declined the puppy if she didn’t think she could handle the 64 pounds. Surprising me with an up charge certainly was not the way to handle the situation.

Katie is hands down the best groomer!! Not only is she amazing with dogs, but she has been bathing and grooming my long haired Norwegian forest cat. I love that she has a cage free facility and all of her clients are treated like one of the family!

Unfortunately, at least in our area, we are lacking many skilled & compassionate groomers but all I need is one, and thay is Katie of Summer Meadows Pet Spa. She is super talented and offers a TOP OF LINE care at her gorgeous pet spa.My main rule for referring other pet professionals is quality of CARE! With Katie, you get a true pet spa experience AND creativity and talent which shows in her grooms.You WILL NOT find this level of service or care elsewhere.

Katie is amazing. She is like the cat whisperer! My cat has only ever had one grooming and that was under sedation. That being said, I was apprehensive about taking my cat to anybody because he is quite difficult and has sharp claws. but I also didn't want to continue to pay a huge cost and sedate my cat. Katie was recommended by another groomer in the area. Although I had to drive about an hour to see her, it was absolutely worth it!Katie was very professional and on time. My cat howled the whole drive up to her house, and I was uncertain if the grooming was even going to happen because he was so agitated. However, less than 10 minutes into giving her the cat, she texted me and said it was a go. She was done in an hour.When I came back to pick him up, he was a happy cat! He wasn't yelling or anxious, and he slept all the way home after a couple little meows. The grooming was beautiful and the price was quite reasonable considering he also got a bath, ear cleaning, eye cleaning, and nail trim.I absolutely recommend Katie for anybody who needs to get their cat groomed. She is wonderful. My only complaint is that she is so far away!

Katie is amazing at what she does, and is so great with my dog :) Boh is very hesitant around new people, but is always comfortable and happy around Katie. I fully recommend Summer Meadows Pet Spa. Katie is the best. She only takes one dog or only your dogs (if you have multiple) at a time. She only focuses on them. She does a fantastic job and she just loves every dog that she grooms. We are moving to Texas and Katie reached out and found me potential groomers in the Austin TX area. She goes above and beyond. Katie is wonderful. My two Cavachons see her every 2 to 3 weeks for a trim and bath. They always look great. My lab goes several times a year. I love the shedless treatment. All of my dogs are happy and relaxed after their grooming. Highly recommend!

This is the best place to get your dog and/or cat groomed. I live in Baltimore City but I drive all the way to Hampstead because this is the most relaxing grooming place for my nervous little rescue. I also love the fact that Katie actively support local animal rescues and rescued herself two cats who now live at the shop and will welcome you. Katie's space is very homy so your pets feel like they are visiting friends, not going to the groomer. And indeed it's really what it is. She takes them by appointment only so they never wait in a cage. I brought my Schnoodle Willie and his friend Sylvie, they loved their time there and they looked amazing when I picked them up. She is also a very talented photographer, and for only $25 extra, she gave me an amazing collections of photos of them in holiday costumes. They made for the best x-mas card ever! Katie is so loving and gentle, her modo is "humanity before vanity", I brought a very matted cat to her recently, and she was amazing at grooming him without hurting or stressing him out. Jennifer loves animals, and it shows in her work. She is simply the best!

Our dog has major anxiety at larger groomers. We were so glad to find this place. The more intimate atmosphere at Summer Meadows is exactly what our pup needed! Because he's the only dog there at a time, it's much more relaxing for him. Katie does an excellent job making our little guy handsome.

We love Summer Meadows Pet Spa! After a couple bad experiences with other local groomers our Westie hated the groomer. Since we found Summer Meadows Pet Spa she loves it! She is always happy when we pick her up. She is never there for long and she always looks great! The owner is so great with animals. She is very gentle and loving. Absolutely the best groomer in the area for both cats and dogs. She offers personalized, one-on-one grooming sessions in a super comfortable setting. The only shop I know with a Certified Feline Master Groomer on staff. Go there!

Kate is ok.Did not really know a poodle cut.She had burns but thought her skin sensitive.Kate will eventually have problems because not consumer friendly.She said she didn't want to do my dog any more unless I would make appt. 8 weeks or less.Will never have a groomer control me.She did recommend a groomer to me that I went to.I really like them.
