Arrived at 9:01pm to shop for a DoorDash shop & deliver order. The staff had locked the doors but were close by so I communicated to them through the doors, wondering why the store was closed as it is posted online, on their own website (and in DoorDash's system), that close is at 10pm. What appeared to be a store manager told me, "too bad, we're closed". Already a bit rude but whatever, shrugged it off and figured it was because he was ready to get home. However, as I was standing close by contacting DoorDash support to cancel the order, I heard one of the employees MOCKING me. I was not rude to them, just confused about the hours. This behavior is never ok when on the job, but especially not towards someone else who is also on the job. The attitude among the staff here is completely unprofessional and it reflects badly on CVS as a company. Fix your operating hours online and fix your attitude.

Horrific service at the pharmacy. After waiting 10 minutes in line, they close down for the 1:30 lunch break before 1:30! Then the pharmacy manager Will stated that they’re entitled to a lunch break (no one said they weren’t) and that 1:29 IS 1:30pm. Guess they’re more entitled to their lunch than patrons are to good service. I don’t need to use a pharmacist that can’t count anyway. With that logic, would they let me pay $29 instead of $30 for my medication?The next day, we moved all our family’s prescriptions out of CVS entirely. There are plenty of pharmacies around that don’t close for their own convenience and do treat customers with respect. If CVS is having difficulty staffing their pharmacies and placating their staff is the solution, the customer loses, and I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Hampstead, MD CVS always has excellent service, and has very helpful employees. The pharmacy department also has excellent service, and very nice, and knowledgeable employee.

The pharmacy has been closed for two days 12/12/23-12/13/23 with no idea when they will open. The CVS app alerted me that this store while closed had filled my prescription and it was ready for pickup.

Talks at you then shuts the drive up window before you can respond. Also hangs up the phone before you can respond. Can't figure out how to update insurance.

I made the mistake of switching to this pharmacy because it was two minutes from my house. Not only are there frequently long waits (I’m not bothered by that), but when there is a line, I see people on their phones or sipping Dunkin or other drinks in the back and loudly having conversations unrelated to their job. The final straw was when they grossly mishandled a situation where two of my medications needed prior authorizations. We quickly handled getting them from the prescriber and insurance (usually, the pharmacy coordinates or requests this). It took them days to inform us that we needed it, and only when I called the insurance company myself did I get it, suggesting that they had not reached out. Following this, I was out of my medications and we asked them to run the insurance again, and they later admitted that a glitch in their system made it so it was denied again. We informed them that we were certain it was good to go, and asked them to call the company to clarify. (I have had pharmacists happily do this before). They claimed that “they don’t do that” and it wasn’t their problem. Suffice it to say, I was without medication for 3 weeks because they once more neglected to run it again and only did when I called to inform them that I knew the prior authorization had gone through the week before because enough time had passed that we received a letter in the mail telling us about it. When they finally ran it, they were out of stock. Had they run it last week, they would have been able to order it and have it within days. Instead I was disrespected and left without important medication that I had been taking for 12+ years for nearly a month. I will not be returning to this pharmacy again. Never have I been so disrespected, and never have I seen someone neglect to do part of their job- all while telling me that it wasn’t their problem.

We had a prescription called in from the urgent care next door. After an hour I went to the drive through to pick it up and was told they were out of the common prescription. I then had to call other pharmacies to get it filled. It would have been nice to been notified it was unavailable.

Pharmacy is so slow and rude i reported to customer relations and reported them and never got a call back so i called and they told me my complaint was handled but i got no call they told me you did not request a call back i said you had my number and i should not say call me they should automatically. I would definitely not go here .

The Pharmacy I was in line at 5:55 PM drive thru and they were fooling around with the lady a head of me and taking there time and as I pulled up the closed the gate at the drive thru window. Hampstead CVS is the worst moving my prescriptions else where. If I could’ve given No stars I would have. The Management at this store is the worst. The Pharmacist is Rude along with all the employees in Pharmacy as well.

CVS in Hampstead is the absolute WORST pharmacy around. I do NOT recommend using this pharmacy. If I could give zero stars I would. I waited in line for 20 minutes only to have the pharmacist tell me that they are 2 minutes past their lunch. I have also spoke to the pharmacist about my medicine I am now 5 weeks without my medicine. They keep telling me it's a problem with my insurance. My insurance says we approved that 6 weeks ago. I'm switching pharmacy's immediately! And they are all very rude!

I'm not one to complain but this is literally the worst. Constant problems filling my prescriptions and I have 3 insurances........I should never have a problem getting anything filled. They usually don't even run my insurances. I've gone 4 months without getting my meds filled. They don't honor requests to transfer my scripts to other aces. I'm presently getting my scripts transferred to amazon.com. they usually reduce costs by 98% and give free delivery if you have Prime.There was a wonderful tech who did the window about a year ago but apparently they couldn't keep him because he is gone.

Have yet to have a single good experience here. They refused to fill one of my prescriptions because it was out of state. My wife has had to wait for her wait for her prescription to be filled on the spot every single time, even 2 or 3 days after it was called in. It's like they don't even try to fill it before you show up. Last time it took 3 trips in to finally get it filled. Got told 20 minutes each time. I realized if they know you aren't staying there to wait for it they won't fill it till you do. I feel bad for the pharmacy staff as they are clearly overwhelmed and constantly getting yelled at by customers. It's obviously a management issue. The non pharmacy staff always looks miserable, unless you ask a question, then they look irritated and miserable. It's a fun place.

So my girlfriend and I went into this store today to get a couple items as we walked around there was a few people in the store. I noticed someone at the self check out as we were still looking around. The person at the self check was done and gone for a good 5-10 minutes before we even decided to walk to the register and one of the workers there walked up behind us didn’t say anything tried to see what my girlfriend had in her hands and was watching her put the info in for the rewards and I watched her the whole time I don’t recall the ladies name but she racially profiled my girlfriend acting like she was stealing something. there was 2 customers before us and she didn’t do this to either of them (both being white) and as soon as my girlfriend (being black) and I walk up she all of a sudden stops what she’s doing walks over and is all nosy and stuff. When I confronted them they acted like they were just doing their jobs saying “ I was making sure the transaction from the person before you was finished” when the person she was talking about was gone for 5-10 minutes before us walking to the register. When she called for for assistance the lady I believe Lisa was on her side. like I’ve lived in this town for 20+ years (as a white guy)and I’ve seen a lot of racist people in this town and it’s disgusting like it’s 2023. We are all the same there is nothing different and I wish more people thought that way.

I tried to use CVS for the first time. The phone system is absolutely horrible I was on phone two times waiting for 20 minutes. And when they did answer they were rude and not very professional I quickly went back to Manchester Pharmacy which is the best it's definitely five star

I had the RUDEST experience with the pharmacist today. Absolutely condescending and unwilling to help me. I caught him lying to me THREE separate times about sending a fax to my doctors office so that my insurance will approve my prescription and they still haven’t. I’ve been lying in pain for days now. If you can go anywhere else please do! These people don’t care about you and obviously don’t care about their job.

The pharmacy in Hampstead, Md is never open on a regular basis. It always takes at least 2 trips to town to get any medication! Today the sign reads " Pharmacy closed. possibly open later today and possibly not until tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience". This is no way to do business. They need to DO BETTER!!!

I understand how difficult it has been to staff pharmacies since COVID. However, the Hampstead CVS has been under staffed for years. You can never get through on the phone to actually speak to someone. The prescription info on CVS.com does not match what is on file at the store. Scripts are not ready when they say they will be. I could go on and on.... Very fustrating!

Extremely disappointed with pharmacy. We came for flu shots with a 12 year old and a 5 year old and even called in advance to see if my youngest could get a flu shot and they said yes she could. They said over the phone the policy changed and they could do three and up. When we got there they told us she couldn't. The older Male pharmacist wouldn't even look at us and said no. I wouldn't even give one star.

You can NEVER get to a PERSON on the phone. We are continually bothered with "your prescription is ready to be picked up" messages, even though we clearly told them NO AUTOMATIC REFILLS. When trying to call them, we go through the whole recorded choices thing and then, supposedly, are transferred to pharmacy for a person but sit for up to 30 minutes listening to their COVID vaccine information and irritating music. Does anyone in the pharmacy know how to pick up a phone? This is not one time! Multiple attempts to reach tgem and even going into the pharmacy and telling them in person hasn't stopped refills. We will NEVER use Hampstead CVS again.

Went to get a booster shot. The sign on the door and at the pharmacy states no appointment needed. Was advise I need to have appt by pharmacy technician. I said the sign states no appointment. He read the sign and then said that is a old sign and then flung it in the garbage can in front of me.

This place has the slowest service of any Pharmacy I've ever been to. I understand they are low on staff and we are in the middle of a pandemic, but that's more of a reason to hire more staff! Absolutely awful that you have to wait in line for an hour!!!! Who provides service like this? Taking my business elsewhere!!!

Wait times rediculous! Will lie to your face about when it was called in! I showed up to pick up script and was told I had to wait an hour because they just got the script. When in fact I had spoken with them on the phone 30mins prior to showing up! Always a hassle. Wouldn't use CVS ever if it wasn't preferred by my insurance!!

I haven't used this store for a very long time. I don't understand why there's such high scores when there's clearly, a lot of dissatisfaction. Personally, I've always been ok with them. We left a long time ago because of the prices. The latest thing is I've been looking for gloves everywhere. There's none my size v which is small. They gave my hubby 2 boxes. Hugs to Hampstead.

Baby has a viral infection, we need dye free meds they never have any in stock, they said they would order it, and we would be able to pick it up in two days... Well when we went to get to medication. We were told they couldnt order it, after waiting two days with a sick baby!!!!! Not even a phone call to let us know. If your child is sick and needs meds go elsewhere!!!! Seek a pharmacy with pharmacists who care

Wait time to pick up prescriptions is terrible. Went 3 times in two days and each time there were 2 cars ahead of me. I waited 15 minutes and in every case not one vehicle moved. Cust service is terrible, manager is never there when needed etc. Got to go to another pharmacy this is unacceptable!

Always a problem here. Latest issue is I've been waiting almost 4 days for my blood pressure meds. I go in to ask about it and they ask me if I'd like to wait! This pharmacy is worse than going to the MVA.
