Called 15 min before they closed to ask if they had a specific part we were looking for and wanted to support local vs big box store. They confirmed they did and I informed we will be there in 10 min. Arrived 2 minutes before they closed however once they saw us walking up they turned the lit open sign off. Although I know we were cutting it close to closing time, I called ahead and the gentleman was still rude and unwelcoming. That is no way to treat a paying customer, especially as a small business owner.

Needed a key made from one that True Value in Shrewsbury had made for me. They are out of business. CALLED CCTV and asked if they could make a copy. Man said they had 3 or 4 blanks they could try. After driving 25 minutes to Hampstead, man at the store said they couldn't help me at all. Extremely poor service, very frustrating since I had called the store.

I just realized this spring that they have beautiful flowers for your garden....as well as this summer I purchased tubes for my son's bike when he had a flat, and dog food when I didn't want to run to Walmart that night and ran out. They carry so many more items than I/you could probably imagine. I was pleasantly surprised.

True Value has their own paint factory, and their paints are as good, and in many cases better than the national brands found in other stores. Come give us a try. :)

Great place!! Wonderful people! They are ready to help or answer your questions. The prices are cheap. Lots of parking. Easy exit and entrance. Before you leave you could shoot some hoops at the near by basketball court. Which is nice by the way..

Awsome and helpfully employeesto help you find everything you need, unlike Depot or Lowes were you have to search for someone to help you!Keep our local hardware stores in business! I often don't think about it, but we should always try them first. They have alot of unique things that the big stores don't.

I love this little hardware store. It reminds me of the small town hardware store in Virginia where my family is from. They have just a little of everything that you need for your home or business. The staff is friendly and helpful on every visit.

Close to home, saves a trip to Westminster. Always has had everything I have needed for home repair emergencies. Emergency plumbing repair needed today. Great friendly staff helped me quickly find everything I needed for this fix.

Great place for hardware. The Hampstead True Value has all the big box stores beat when it comes to hardware. You can find a little of everything here. Got a pressure cooker? They may have the seals for it. Need a spring for your tractor yep they may have. Needed a pvc check valve for my laundry pump. Home Depot and Lowes nope. Called True Value...young girl politely took down what I was looking for and said "give me a minute", 30 secs later "yes sir we have one. Want me to hold it at the counter". Wow! Cant beat that for service.

Very friendly. Always seem to have what I need. Picked up a chainsaw chain. Was wrong one. No problem on the exchanges. Try them first. Nice to support local small town businesses

This place has a lot of stuff!! If they dont have exactly what you need, chances are they probably have something that will work...this place has a little bit of everything. Staff is friendly and always helpful.

If they had a potbelly stove, a checkerboard, and free coffee in the morning, it would be the best place in miles to visit and shop for items even your Grandpa remembers. One of my favorite places.
