Imagine being a place that specializes in dogs and simultaneously discriminate against certain dog breeds. Their website doesn’t even mention that they don’t accept certain breeds, because they don’t want people to know that they’re not true dog lovers. Maybe reconsider your stance since it’s not supported by any studies done on dogs. They let Collies in that have been found to be the number 1 aggressive dog breed but don’t let in others based off of biases. Would not recommend taking your animals you love so much to a place that doesn’t actually love animals.

We love this place and so does our boy Max. It's a beautiful rural setting on a farm. Very well maintained and clean. Plenty of room for him. The staff is so friendly and good with the pets because. They know him and they treat him well. It's the only place we trust to take care of him and he loves it and they love pets. They're the best!

We boarded 3 animals and they came home after a week happy and healthy. Each animal needed meds and the staff administered them daily. Very clean, well run and always busy.

Pet Retreat is a wonderful boarding facility! Carol and her staff are the best, they truly love the dogs, take wonderful care of them and have the best customer service. My dog Marley, loves going to stay there!

We have boarded our animals here multiple times and thought this place to be "always nice and professional" safe and very clean. We even recommended to many others. We were we so heartbreakingly wrong! Pet Retreat is great on the surface but NOT what it appears to be behind closed doors. We are so utterly ashamed and disappointed in the owner, Carol Veil and two of her staff but mainly the owner because she is the one who can mandate change, get proper training for staff and let go those who do not abide by strict standards. Carol definitely needs to take off her blinders to what occurs when she is not present and immediately make change when a good customer calmly informs her what occurred, even giving her the opportunity to make things right. Install some video cameras so you can review what actually occurred (this is our hindsight). We DESERVED exactly what we paid for - Safe, clean, HUMANE treatment of our animals. This did not occur. Never once did we receive a phone call informing us there was a potential problem with one of our pets. We even called to check on our pets and not even then were we informed. We are utterly shocked, disappointed, and heartbroken. We will never board there again.
