Very happy I found this place for dog grooming. I called around to a couple of places and they couldn't accept my dog because of her size but Hearty Pet was willing to do her grooming, they even had a 200lb St Bernard which is much bigger than my 125lb dog. They were very welcoming and you can tell they love what they do and that they love their pet clients, they didn't want my girl to leave. I was happy with their work and the cost. This will be our groomer going forward.

We took our very unsure greyhound for a nail trim and it was her very first time at a pet store. The staff were incredibly patient and accommodating with her through the process. We left with a lot of reassurance and one happy hound. Cannot recommend enough! They also have wonderful products here for a great price.

Mistakes happen all the time with internet retail orders. I don’t have a problem with that, but I really really care about how the seller handles the response. Hearty Pet couldn’t have handled it better. I found them online looking for hard to find cat food. They sent a case of 3 oz. cans but I ordered and paid for 5.5 oz. I submitted an online inquiry over the weekend and prepared for a lot of effort and delays to get a replacement. But Monday when I called a very nice employee answered promptly (no frustrating automated call bots!) and told me they had already responded to my email and were preparing to ship out the replacement. It arrived 3 days later (MD to FL), AND I didn’t have to ship back the food sent in error. It was more than enough to tide my kitty over with some left to donate. I’m very impressed and will be a return customer. Oh, and they had the best price.

I just adopted two cats from the shelter and I'm so excited to find this place is just down the street from me. They carried all the foods that I was looking at that the grocery store and chain pet stores didn't have. Plus much closer to me then those stores. They had some other very interesting foods and toys and here as well so I'll be spending some time looking around and doing some more research for sure. Not everything had prices on it (or at least I just didn't see them) so that's the only suggestion I have, with maybe a unit price on them. The store is very cute in the staff was super super friendly. I left with a bunch of new toys for my kitties, My cats loved the free catnip samples as well :)

If the staff knows their products and are helpful and friendly, I don't need anything else while shopping for my dog. The staff here surpasses the large pet store experience.

Our puppy has been struggling with a sensitive stomach since he was born. Hearty Pet helped me find a sensitivity test, which told us what he could could and could not have. Unbeknownst to us, he had severe allergies to quite a few foods and products. They were amazing and helped us to pick the right food and supplements that were right for our puppy, ensuring us that he would have a great quality of life. We are immensely grateful for Hearty Pet.

The screaming puppies in the back of the store were heartbreaking. A sketchy looking man came out from the employee only door, cursing about taking care of the puppies. The experience made my heart pound. Authorities should definitely look into this so-called business. Definitely do NOT recommend it. Shameful you are!

I just brought my pug in for her birthday and the worker’s awknowledged her, pet her, and showed her lots of loving, and we’re also helpful and ready to point us in the right direction for what we were looking for. hearty pet is my #1 store their products i always know are safe for my baby.

I went to Hearty Pet today for the first time and I was so impressed. I am extremely thankful for the great customer service I recieved from Theresa! She talked with me about choosing a good dog food for my lab who has a very sensitive stomach. We decided to try Zignature Salmon Recipe! She gave me plenty of free samples and advised me to stay away from animals with feathers (chicken, duck, turkey, etc.) and potatoes. Thanks Theresa!!!

My fiance and I brought our little Coton de Tulear pup in today to check out this store. It was our first time and we were so impressed! Definitely the friendliest staff of ANY store I've ever been to. Every single staff member greeted us and gave all their attention to our little guy. Everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell. And their products are top notch. All healthy and beneficial to your fur baby. We seriously love this store and will be back again and again for the foreseeable future!

Erin, the customer associate that greeted me, delivered excellent customer service throughout my whole visit, I think the only thing she was disappointed in was the fact that i didnt bring my 9 week old puppy along to Hearty Pet. Hearty pet is the best pet shop around. They greet you at the door and make you feel welcomed as soon as you come in. They best thing is I can never remember the food brand I purchased and they take the time to look up previous transactions. The sales lady took the time and walked me through the store and showed me the brand that I buy and recommended switching different flavors around to my dog doesn’t get sick of the same flavor. They are the best because they are so friendly they take the time and they care for you and your pet. I have been to other ones just to check them out and never have felt the caring atmosphere for me and my pet. I won’t waste my time at other places. This is my go to shop. Thanks for being amazing, friendly, and caring.

Hearty Pet was awesome! Took my heeler in for a nail trim. He is blind and absolutely hates his nails messed with. They did an awesome job being friendly but firm and were very quick. We walked around and checked out all the toys and homemade treats including puppy doughnuts after they got done! We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend them!

The pet food here you will not find anywhere else but online. The general store manager was awesome. She took her time and helped us pick out food for my friend's dogs. I was very impressed with the selection of dog food. She was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I decided to try a new Groomer since I recently moved a little further away from my previous one. I was so disappointed when I picked my dog up and the price I had to pay. It looked like he didn’t even get cut. We have a Mini Aussie. I have asked that he be cut not shaved, paws cleaned up, and his butt trimmed and a potty path cut in. And in the understand where they did shave there was a bunch of random patches left. I was not pleased at all and had to go spend more money to have him fixed somewhere else.

We stumbled across this store while enroute to another destination. What a great place! The staff was friendly and happy to talk. I was very impressed with their selection of food and treats from reputable companies and not brands you find in big box stores! Great to have another option to buy food and healthy treats in the Maryland Area!

I meant to send this earlier, but just checked my email from you all & found I never sent in the review for Caitlin. On July 6, 2022 I brought my sweet Milo in to be groomed. He is a one-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever.Milo can be very timid and afraid of things. From the minute we walked in the door Milo was fussed over & petted by your staff. He lapped up all or the attention & loves.In the past I’ve taken Milo to a groomer where he was not happy when I came to take him home. His coat was also cut improperly & I was so disheartened.Anyway, at Hearty Pet the grooming experience for Milo was just wonderful.Caitlin did a spectacular job. His coat was soft and fluffy & he was a very happy boy. I could tell Caitlin had done a thorough job bathing Milo & she brushed all of the loose hair out. His beautiful feathers on his paws, chest & tail had not been trimmed which I had requested.What made me so upset at this different grooming salon was that they used a Furminator on his back & sides. He had just begun to get his beautiful curls from his neck all the way down his back. Those were gone. I was near tears and so mad I dared not speak.They still haven’t grown back to how they were before. As the fur grew back it looked spikey and uneven.I also suffer from severe allergies. As Milo shed his baby fluff and grew in his more adult coat I became increasingly more allergic. The best remedy for handling the allergies is to have the pup bathed every few months. Vacuuming & keeping the home clean also helps. Antihistamines help as well.So, Milo’s grooming in early July was done so well that it lasted until early October.I will be requesting an appointment soon & sure hope I can have Caitlin as his groomer.What I most appreciate is that Milo was so happy when I came to get him. I believe Caitlin was gentle & took time with him. Thank you so much Caitlin! Instead of dreading having him groomed as before, I know he will be handled with care. He loved the whole experience.And all of you at Hearty Pet have been so accommodating whenever I came in to shop. Your products are high quality & Milo loves his toys & treats I get for him from your store.Great job, guys!!Christie Soffel
