This is a small but lovely local garden center. The staff are friendlier and more knowledgeable than anyone you'll find at the bug box stores, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely will be shopping there regularly through the growing season.

I would highly recommend Evergreen Gene’s to everyone. I hired them 1 1/2 years ago to help me design and landscape my front yard after the majority of it was dug up for a city sewer hookup. They did a wonderful job and we had some minor issues with some plants that did not survive and they could not have been more cooperative in replacing them as needed. Even a couple that were from mole/vole destruction. They certainly did not have to do that. That would not usually be under warranty. Evergreen Gene’s nursery is a small but wonderful nursery that has the most healthy plants. If they don’t have exactly what you’re looking for they are excellent at recommending alternatives or ordering what you need. It is a family owned and run business for many years now. So if you’re looking for a high quality, friendly and talented nursery designers this is the company. I appreciate everything they did for me.

Live in Baltimore but found this highly reviewed. Joe came out to introduce himself and helped me pick out a great tree. The staff cares about their business and it shows in the product. Will definitely return.

What a delightful garden center. The staff were friendly and helpful. All the plants are very healthy and are laid out in very logical groupings on their lovely grounds. It was easy to find the Beauty Berry Bush I had come for. So glad they carry native plants, and they designate it on the plant labels. Their pricing is surprisingly reasonable for a small independent business (shop local!).Without me even asking, they carried the bush out to my car for me. A very nice extra.I will definitely be back.

Came to this nursery looking for specific shade-loving plants that I couldn’t seem to find at the big-brand chain stores. They had everything I was looking for and more! The plants all seemed to be in good health and well cared for. The staff were very friendly and helpful and answered a few questions I had. I met this family, not by happenstance, when searching FoxFarm's website for retailers in my area that sold their "Happy Frog Potting Soil" for my garden. Despite 'landscaping' being in their name, I missed that detail, and when being helped by Dylan (he's AMAZING, as are all the staff I worked with!), I asked him whether they handled residential landscaping projects, and he confirmed without shaming me for not paying attention to their name (a true gentleman)! Not a month after this God-led meeting, I worked with Dylan and the Evergreen Gene family on coordinating a residential restoration landscaping project, and today, I couldn't be happier with the team's job on my property!My project, completed in mid-July 2023, consisted of refreshing my mulch, adding vibrant supporting plants to the existing shrubs and plants within the landscape, creating an underground drainage system (french-drain-esque), and removing a dead tree that was to be replaced with something much better than what had previously been in its place.Dylan, with his proven expertise and a keen eye for nature's beauty, led the project, choosing all of the foliage and materials for the job that was to be done; the entire project was completed in a timely, professional, and considerate manner that has breathed new life into my property, as now my yard is more neat and inviting. I constantly receive compliments from neighbors and friends about the beautiful colors and how pulled together the space is!!!However, the real showstopper is the crape myrtle tree they installed to replace the dead tree they removed!! My crape myrtle is a stunning centerpiece that adds elegance and character to my yard, and I could not be happier with her!!!Overall, I'm thrilled with Evergreen Gene's work! Their team was professional (thank you again, Brett and crew, who came out to the property), efficient, and passionate about their work, answering and addressing my concerns and questions as I presented them. Their attention to detail and expertise truly transformed my outdoor space; I have a renewed sense of pride in my yard because of the team of professionals at Evergreen Gene's! I haven't used their landscaping service so I can't review that but their Garden Center is beautiful. They have a beautiful variety of plants and they update their inventory frequently. Their customer service is also amazing. Joe is who I normally see when I first walk in but he always speaks and introduces himself. The staff never makes you feel like a burden. As far as pricing, I haven't found a shop more affordable with their selection. Will definitely be returning.

They have nice healthy plants. They also sell lots of native plants, which is a rare trait for garden centers. The big drawbacks are that except for the very smallest plants, they are unnecessarily expensive, the place is closed on Sunday, and when it is open, it usually closes way too early.

Me and BFF visited this shop today. The young man was pleasant very nice young man. He came out and greeted us and I was so happy when I asked if they sold banana trees and he said yes, it really made my day. Great service I live over a hour away but will be going back. Good service is hard to find.

This was a quaint, beautiful nursery. I found a terracotta strawberry pot! I have been looking for a long time for one, and this piece is beautiful! They also had a huge variety of different greenery. Will definitely be returning!

They have a large selection.of flowers ans people are friendly and very helpful to guide you to whatever your looking for. I have been going there for almost 30 years. Plants are healthy and not dried out like big chain stores. The owners have pride in what they sell. Thank you.

Friendliest staff going! While I was still shopping, an employee placed all of my plants (That were in my cart) into cardboard boxes so that they wouldn’t dirty the car. She also made sure that they were all properly watered.Can’t wait to do my spring purchases there

Good selection for flowers that you won't always find in the big chain stores. I wanted to make 2 unique front porch pots but didn't want the usual geranium/impatients. They are right in my neighborhood and can always be a go to place for selection. Herbs, flowers, trees, rocks, decor, etc. Worth a stop.

The dude here is supposed super knowledgeable, I wish the 20 dollar bags of happy frog were kept inside during the winter. People say it doesn't matter but it should never be exposed to Maryland winter weather imo. Solid place but it's set up for spring and summer.

Great place for trees and shrubs. I had some trouble finding a particular plant... a Magnolia... until looking here. Not only did they have a great selection of them, but I picked up a fantastic example at a fair price. I would recommend for anyone landscaping there property.

Like this place but those guys r not knowledge anymore. I was disappointed. I went in got 2 out of 3. But young man said didn't carry what I needed so I drove elsewhere. Later on I called to ask about a plant found out they had 3. And was given bad information and caused me 2hours of wasted time as had it but guy didn't know nor did he ask anyone at store. Piss me off
