Horrible. I took my pet here for grooming. Asked for a small trim. Ended up SHAVED. He did need a cut, however, his face was perfectly fine. They shaved his face but before we had discussed about that and they said his face is fine and did not need to touch his face. Called about this and they said they never touched his face and the groomer refused to talk to us. Do not trust these scammers. I am deeply concerned about this and think this is the reason they do not want us to watch. They want to do whatever they want. Never using this place again. I am not satisfied. They deserve nothing but all these bad reviews of them. Absolutely unprofessional!

This place is awesome, so many different things for so many different animals, they always have training grooming adoption and the clinc all under one roof 😱🤯 the prices aren't to bad, my kids love it here and you also get to meet a dog or 2 from different customers, staff definitely is friendly and very knowledgeable, be careful with those adoption cats they'll let you know if they don't like you 😂 (my wife got scratched and I got a lick) overall 5 stars I'll be back! Thanks again guys!

The grooming at this location was absolutely horrific. They shaved my dog without consent. Now I see why they don’t want you to watch… very disgusted by all of them and will never be using them again

HORRIBLE experience at their groomers. I dropped off my dog for a haircut and he was SHAVED! When I called back they refused to let me speak with the groomer and handed me to 3 different people. Lack of professionalism, lack of respect, lack of manners. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PETS! I would give a ZERO if I could….

The manager is a jerk. I don't know why. Another store told me I could return some plants that I purchased from his store that were not the proper plants for my aquarium. Semi aquatic so they shouldn't be fully submerged. When I brought them back to this store because I bought them from there, he told me the other store was wrong to tell me I could return them. For 5 minutes he kept saying he couldn't do it. Finally he does it saying he will do this this one time. It was quite embarrassing and unnecessary. When I got home I looked up the policy. I was hoping that I hadn't got the other manager in trouble if he had been wrong. However the policy states that they could absolutely be returned even without the receipt as stated by the other store manager. I called back to tell him he was wrong and he insisted he was right until I read it to him and then he said it was at his discretion. That also is not on their web page so I believe he is lying. I don't understand while he chose to give me a hard time about a 9.99 plant when I spend souch in that store. All of the associates recognize me. Luckily we have several other companies but they aren't as close. It was pretty embarrassing for myself and him. It will have to be an emergency before I walk in there anytime soon. As the only person of color in line at the time I wondered if that's why he treated me so poorly. Maybe corporate can forgure it out when I let them know.

This place has everything I need to not only take care of my 6 month old puppy but everything I can think of to pamper her as well. Their prices are reasonable, and the Grooming Salon here, at this location anyway, is top-notch.

All fish are dead they killed 6 years of work. people that are running the aquarium don't know what they're doing,THE FISH THEY HAVE ARE DISEASED WITH ICH KILLLED MY 6 YEAR OLD FISH IN 4 DAYS. The manager can only offer her sympathies and return the fish that I bought that doesn't get me back 6 years of work. Do not buy fish from this place their tanks are clean, but every single time I bought one over the years, they always have disease. I have a 6-year-old gourami who's never been sick once and is covered in ich now, just days after getting 4 fish baby from them. Do not buy fish here. If you have any time invested, do not purchase fish from here they will kill your hard work.

I brought my two dogs here for a grooming. When I dropped them off, I noticed that the grooming salon was very dirty. It clearly hadn't been getting cleaned up. After picking my dogs up, I noticed immediately that there was an over-powering and disgusting smell of what smelled like anal gland excretions on them. My dogs have never had any anal gland issues or a smell like this on them before. After sniffing them down, the smell was located on parts of their body that would be in contact with the floor or kennel if they were laying down. Basically, it seemed that what had happened was that they had probably laid in some other dog's anal gland excretions and gotten it on their bodies. It looks to me like this salon has a major cleanliness issue and is not properly cleaning up after excreting dog's anal glands, resulting on it getting on my dogs. The manager said told me that this wasn't possible, because they kept things clean. This was in direct contrast to the clear dirtiness of the salon when I dropped them off that obviously wasn't getting cleaned. They said the smell must be my dogs, despite my dogs never having had this smell before or any history of anal gland issues. I wouldn't recommend this salon due to the clear sanitary issues.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would… so unprofessional my cat was supposed to be coming into to get fixed but they had I explained over the phone that Gaithersburg referred me cause they had sooner dates … they wasted my time and and not thorough or care about what they do it’s very sad… my baby is in pain and they do not care it was very disgusting and when i was upset they were very disrespectful towards me and showed no remorse. When I simply asked for the first name of the person who took my appointment and KELLY looked at me crazy and like i was slow it was very vile, all i wanted was an explanation i changed my schedule around and came there very early in the morning… and they were talking about let’s get her checked anyways, as if i didn’t already say she got checked a couple of days ago. When I wanted to take her after i called Gaithersburg and booked her surgery i waited over 10 minutes and then the doctor came out and talked to me and ask me if i wanted to book an appointment for a sooner date in germantown… why would i do that when from my view your staff is clearly unprofessional and do not care even though the doctor apologized…..the doctor wasn’t at fault for anything that’s not who owed me an apology…..and Not only that they took my comment down i don’t even know how… that’s just the icing on the cake if you love your pet and see them as family DO NOT COME HERE cause unfortunately they won’t be treated with care

I've been getting pet supplies at this location for 19 years now. Staff, in general, is knowledgeable and friendly. The variety of pet food is great and of superior quality compared to other retailers. Some things like dog costumes and beds can be found cheaper somewhere else. It's a great place to bring kids along so they can watch the fish and other animals.

Cashiers & managers have all been very friendly & helpful at this location. Even when I have multiple cart loads of items or if it's close to closing time, they don't act like it's an inconvenience, which I appreciate.

Great inventory for things however one representative made my experience bad there, I went there for a Betta fish for my daughter and asked someone to help me this person flat out said sorry we don't have anything for that fish and I needed a filter and a big fish tank in order for it to survive, when the whole time they had all the betta fishes at the front and then i found out they only need clean water and a fish bowl which is what my daughter wanted anyways.

It’s not the local staff, it’s call center that all calls now go through. Why does it take almost 10 minutes to change the time of appointment? Why not have an option to change online? You can cancel, but not change time. Dumb!!

I take my Tiny small chihuahua she is only 8 pounds, I take her to the grooming service , she is very scary and nervios , so I received the call from them , to tell me she is very mad and scary and can’t not make the bath service, when I go to pick her up she is bleeding for her tong and she has cut and and her mouth, and they pulled her from rope ( leash) and she hanging her ayes were red like a bloodAnd the only tall me if I want a can take her to the vet hospital to check herI never going to take her again

The only problem the button near the cashier to pick up and they have an attitude to give you your pick up order. I came today and the heavy set girl with the short hair act like I was invisible to pick up my order I literally had to say something because she was going to ignore me if I did not say anything. When I did say something she waited until I was walking out the door to say something but I ignore the ignornance and keep walking. After paying close to $35.00 for 4 bag of treats I believe I deserve better service. My dog love the treats that is the only reason why I come. Could they change the way customers could pick up there items?

Believe all the poor reviews!! Honestly the worst managed PS, Ive been to.Help is never around when you need it. Like 3-5pm. One lone cashier, who has to deal with a long line because managers love to hide in the back of store instead of managing the front end. So 3 times, I come to this store and theres a price discrepancy at the register. Price is always higher than what the shelf price is. Instead of calling on the PA and asking for a price check , cashier asked me to go back and take a picture of the price tag. ($4) difference. So I went. I took a pic. Then cashier said i can't see the numbers . I need u to go back. At this point I said, please call a manager because i took a picture like you asked. The item thats on the shelf is exactly what Im buying. And her line was getting very long.This store is always having stuff I need out of stock. No one is ever around. The adoption center for cats appears to be neglected, and you cant go into the room to interact, because of "COVID" yet Crofton locations or other locations have no restrictions. Another thing, is avoid there grooming department. They dont know what they are doing.

Highly recommend using Isabel for bath and brush for your canine. Very kind with the pet and when dropping off/picking up she seems to be the one person in the salon that does not act annoyed that you're there with your pet. The baths/grooms from all the staff have been satisfactory in execution and results, but they were not friendly at all. Isabel was the exception and I will use her again!

I would never taking my pet for groom again. They charged me $64 and my cat was soaking wet when I got him home. It took me more than two hours to calm him down. They said my cat was afraid of blow dry. They didn’t even use any towel to dry him because they were out of towels. My cat ear were still not clean. This was traumatizing experience for me and for my cat. I will never be using them again.

The staff are usually nice here and can offer treats to your dog in the line, which makes my dog all the happier. They also offer pet training. I have heard some people say that they thought it was beneficial to their pets, and others say it was a waste of money.It's so nice that everyone who gets my same dog food seem to buy it instantly, and they're out. The negative thing is that my dog food is rarely here, but the positive is that this place is so popular.It's your average PetSmart, but they usually have a nice selection of cats and other animals on top of their stuff to look at.The biggest negative is that a lot of their merchandise is overpriced, and I usually wait for a hefty sale or clearance to buy most things.

The store is nice however the grooming….Sarah, who’s very kind, cut so much hair from my dog. I asked for a trim around the face and she did not give a trim. She cut soooo much off! My dog did not look as cute as she did before I left her. I also noticed redness on my dogs private areas and nipples. I’ve had to use medication to help with the irritation.I saw Sara talking on her cell phone as she was cutting my dogs hair. How is that allowed? Groomers should be totally focused when cutting, NOT having cell phone convos while working. It’s obvious to me she was not careful as she could have been. Needless to say, I will not be returning to have my dog’s hair cut. There are so many other dog salons where groomers take their jobs seriously.

Very pleasant employees who were very helpful while I was trying to find a sweater for my mother's dog. The selection was great and the shelves were fairly neatly ordered. And, when we went to check out, the process was quick and easy. I highly recommend this PetSmart location.
