Really great food and some neat and inventive items. (Sassy Tater tots -crab and cheese topped tater tota- and I had a warm brussel sprout & fresh corn & bacon salad). The owner was really personable and fun to talk to. Definitely will come again.

We stopped in after we were turned away from a restaurant now the road because they were not pet friendly. This little gem cafe welcomed us and our furry kid. Great food and drinks. Wonderful staff and friendly customers.

I regret not taking a picture of the food. I ordered pancakes and what i got looked like store bought pancakes that were microwaved and served... It was simply horrible. The place wasn't busy at all, so that tells you something. The only plus, was that the stuff was friendly. Sadly i would not recommend this place.

This was a favorite restaurant for a while. Came here several times a month and always enjoyed food and service. Had a bad experience today. Service was weak today which is weird in a almost empty restaurant. The main problem was finding grit and actual dirt in my food from poorly cleaned mushrooms. They brought me new food which was nice but they made no major apologies for what happened. Finding foreign objects in my food is a big deal. I truely love this restaurant and hope they turn it around.

I was very disappointed in the food, didn't taste as good as I expected, atmosphere was pleasing, you were sitting at the harbor's edge and you could see all the boats, that was the best part, will not be going backWheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access. Entrance was very steep!

Always a favorite stop for special gifts and every day boating necessities. There is always a great selection of nice t- shirts, jackets, hats, beach bags, etc. and some sales of clothing supports local charities. Very friendly folks, worth a special trip to stop in and shop!

I love it there, my grandfather founded that marina, and going back there to buy shirts and things for my family makes me proud to see how it has been kept up and the people are so friendly. Mr. Joe is a great guy! My grandfather would like him.

Hoping it would have been better, but here is our experience from last Sunday's breakfast- One server, not busy, sloooow service. Grill must have been dirty because everything we ordered came out with black griddle dirt on it. Coffee was old. Eggs Benedict- eggs were fried not poached on untoasted english muffins, 1/2" slabs of ham, and must have substituted melted butter for hollandaise sauce. $55 out the door for three people eating dirty eggs, not happy.

We went in to get some iced teas togo and a dessert. It was a nice atmosphere so we decided to eat in house. At the end of our visit, we asked for our iced teas to be topped off and were told they couldn't be cause they were originally togo. The person that helped us was cold and had poor eye contact. She turned us off on the whole visit.

The Sassafrass Harbor Cafe is a very clean, nice and cozy place to eat! The employees are friendly and helpful! The food is good and there is a variety on the menu. You can eat in or take out. We will go back again!

My burger wasn’t done all the way, very pink in the middle. I have never had a crab cake that every bite I had to spit out part of the shell. Waste of $40 in my opinion.

Stopped at this little cafe on the way home from visiting Mt Harmin Plantation, thanks to a brochure we picked up at the plantation office.Great location and easy parking right along the Sassafras, by the marina, right where George Street meets Rt213. The staff were great, very friendly, and the food was delicious. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was excellent, my wife had a chicken sandwich that she loved. The cafe itself was clean and tidy, as were the restrooms, afterwards we took a walk around the marinas and spent some time in the gift shop/marine store located next to the cafe. Will definately return to try other items on the menu.

Not good. Breakfast was terrible. In my omelet the cheese wasn't even melted. The coffee creamers were curdled. Food was sub par.

Had a crsbcake which was full of jumbo lump crabmeat and very good. Fries or tots are 3$ more and rather a stingy portion. Service was not great, had to keep asking for more water. It was never offered.

Quaint harbor location for great food and decadent desserts. Try the Rockfish Johnny's hot sauce. You will not be disappointed! It's Chef John's secret recipe and you will put it on everything and be back for more.

I adore this little restaurant with its nautical vibe and waterfront view. We were even able to see the drawbridge in action while we enjoyed our delicious pancakes and coffee.
