Horrible! Spent an hour walking around this store looking for an item that I saw online that's said available in the store. Asked for help multiple times and the store clerk was kind enough to walk around with me looking, when we couldn't find it he decided to ask the store manager saloma or something. She disregarded the clerk and I decided to ask her myself and instead of addressing me, she didn't even acknowledge me but rather she simply turned to the store clerk and scolded him like a child telling him to go check aisle 7! While she continued standing there with her clip board pretending to be important. Ps "Saloma, or Paloma " that water cartridge wasn't in aisle 7 so thanks.

This Store Happens to be very close to my home, I would stop there atleast twice a week for my kids snacks, my problem is that they have ALL these employees just looking at you doing the self check out they looking as thou you're stealing, they have more staff walking around the store than on their registers and about 5 store managers but none call assist.. and their seafood dept always STINK..

DO NOT SHOP AT WEIS #289!!!For the last 2 years there have ALWAYS been rotten or moldy fruit in the produce section. Cans on the shelves are expired, and even pet food is past expiration dates!!I live closer to this Weis store and go out of convenience, but I have been so ANGRY after shopping at this Weis, #289 on Russel Avenue across from COSTCO, only to come home and find out the stuff I bought at this store is bad. Waste of time and money.I regularly will check out and go home, and find I have one item that is past expiration date, or a produce item that is bad on the inside. This store sucks in keeping up with their stock!It is so inconvenient to be so scared to buy stuff from this store that you have to double check all of your expiration dates, and if you get produced, get literally 3 times the amount and waste money just to ensure that the food is not EXPIRED!!! This store has bad management and I have complained about their produce before. They are not making any improvements!!

Why 2*'s 1,the products on discount with points ,the discount isn't added unless you get an employee to charge the item with points. So essentially, you're being robbed for those items & won't notice it. 2,there never is enough registers open for check out. The staff are all rude when they're dealing witha customer& more often when they're not. Employees will never look in the back for a product that's on saikl

Quite compact for a grocery chain but well stocked. The odor right when you enter had me a little concerned. Signing up for a club membership is not as straightforward as other chains.

Convenient, local grocery store. They sell the refrigerated puppy food my puppy likes, so they are good in my book 🙂 I frequent this location when grocery shopping; no complaints!

Great selection of food and home essentials. I want to say that it's one of the cleanest stores within the chain of stores. The one guy I always see when I shop always speaks. Very polite. The other stockers are just as polite. The reason why I love shopping here. Explain why they want you to pay for the use of the cart

My wife and I shop here quite often for our basic food items, but due to their smaller grocery store size, they lack a variety of vegetables and meats.The small bakery in the front of the store has good customer service with a variety of cakes, cookies and pastries, but not too many pies.Check out can be slow at times with usually 1-2 cashiers and 4 self checkout lanesParking seems to be at a premium as the lot is only large enough in front to accommodate 30-40 cars.

Very helpful employees, Mark is super helpful and is always friendly to the customers. I never seen someone like there job so much and it shows. Kristen the front cashier is very nice and helpful, she is always in a good mood- this is my local store and she deserves a raise. I made myself remember to show appreciation for the good people who should get reviewed as well.

Worth traveling the extra distance. A little gem of a market, with shelves well-stocked with the brands I want, not usually found in other stores, at very competitive prices. Friendly customer service and sought-after amenities round out the excellent shopping experience.

Went to this Weis today in the afternoon. I had bought $700 worth of food. Yes huge order!! Cashier never greeted me and just seems unhappy. Mind you customer service is huge for me as I have high standards because I give my best service. I asked him if I should get another cart he looked at me like I was an alien and said “not sure it’s whatever ” in a weird tone.Anyways.. the weighing machine had to be fixed in the middle of the order which was fine but I was already irritated. Long story short he did ask me for my Weis card and I appreciated that because I usually don’t forget. I went home and saw that he put a lot of things that should not be with the other cold versus warm and delicate with the heavy things. He put my eggs on the bottom of my bag. Omg. This was my store for a good while years ago and went to try it again today. Don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. Maybe train your cashiers to pack better and put employees who are are friendly on the registers? Ugh

I would like to be able to give this store 5 stars but the customer service here is TERRIBLE. There is usually one staffed register and the other open registers are self-service. The employees just watch the customers scan everything instead of lending a hand. The customer service manager is so rude. She just stares everyone down like they are not welcome in the store. She needs some training on how to deal with the public. When she's not staring down people, she's standing in the way while gossiping with people she knows that comes in to shop. The good aspects of the store is it's a convenient location and it's always clean and well stocked.

Buy 2 or Must Buy 4 is intentionally confusing. Sometimes one is half the sale price of 2, sometimes not. We are a small household and don't want and can't carry or store multiples and are forced to miss the sale prices.Also, rotate and check the stock. Some items on the shelf are long out of date. They just don't care.

Just not great. I stopped by here this morning on the way to somewhere else in Gaithersburg. Depressing. The deli counter was out of a number of D&W items, including items that just went on sale yesterday. Not that the staff member could clearly explain (or understand that 1.2 lbs is not 1 lb). A number of shelves elsewhere were semi-bare. Not a great look. It's a somewhat older, smaller outlet, but even within that framework, it doesn't hold up well.The packaged deli meats/hot dogs section had a large number of items that were expired. I get it that Gaithersburg might not be a hot market for ring bologna or hot dogs from PA-based brands, but check your stuff. I bet the on-sale, expired Berks plain half rings are still on the shelf now, three hours later. The staff didn't even bother to start going trough the items I had pointed out. I came back around 10 minutes later passing back through looking for something else and the staff I had advised were still chatting over by the seafood counter. Didn't even bother to get another staff member to go take a look. Nice.On the plus side, the produce section seemed thoroughly okay. Smaller than average, but not a mess like some of the other parts.

I just had the best grocery shopping experience in quite a long time! Probably years!! The woman at the deli counter was amazing, I wish I could remember her name! I needed to ask where to find a can of dices chili’s and another fabulous woman showed me the way and out check out the shining star was a woman name Lee K who assisted me at the self serve check out several times. I witnessed her addressing other employees with sincerity and respect and I also witnessed her helping other folks. She had five balls in the air at one time and was in her game! I was so impressed!The prices were also amazing! It was almost out of a dream! It seemed almost everything on my shopping list was on sale!I rarely write reviews and here I am sitting in the parking lot still taking the time to write this up! Believe me that really says something about this store. It’s employees and my 5star experience! I’d give it 10 stars if I could! THank you!!!

Only ever have 1 on self service checkout lane opened - usually only 2 self service checkout lines as well - always long lines and long waits - which is frustrating because if they are going to try and force you to use the self service checkouts they should at least have all of them opened and available - instead they would rather have lines backed up into the aisles which makes even shopping frustrating as you have to navigate around people who are angry it takes so long to check out - Ive tried to overlook the issues the store has because the employees are nice and do their best but I had to stop shopping here because it takes me less shopping time to drive 15 minutes to the closest Safeway (despite this store being only 1 mile from my house) - pretty clear this is one of those stores that is about to close down -management should just go ahead and board this place up since they clearly do not care about their customers or employees at all
