My dogs seem to like it ok. They smell really good after and still do up til about a week later. The groomers do ask you to finish brushing them out to get the underfur or something to release.My large white dog rolled in the wild raspberries that had fallen from our backyard tree right after she got home smh. So she's got random magenta dye in different places. My other one, he looks so light and fluffy after, I think it's great for him, they have trouble getting his nails though.

Refused to sell me a feeder mouse because I'd be feeding it to a lizard.I'm a firm believer that carnivores should get live food every now and again for mental stimulation as well as for micronutrientsI never expected the pet store to force its wonky values on me. They're vermin, for chrissakesAlso, just for this, my lizard is getting g TWO feeders tonight!

After hearing my sisters horror story of coming here, it’s no wonder that the average rating is barely 2 stars and unfortunately zero stars is not an option. She’s too nice to say anything about it but I will. The actual groomer she had was great but the other woman working there was rude and condescending, scolding her for being 10 minutes early (even though she had no problem waiting) and when my sister said she was there for the groomer, the woman had responded “Does it LOOK like she’s standing here?” She has never met her before so she wouldn’t know if she was there or not which is completely beside the point.When asking to speak with the manager the only response she got was that they weren’t available so “just keep calling until you get them.”That’s a garbage response but not unexpected coming from a garbage human.She may not have been the groomer but if that’s how she treats other humans, how could you feel comfortable leaving your fur baby in her care? That’s a hard no.

I had my seventeen year old daughter drop off our puppy, a standard poodle, today at 11:30 for grooming.She was told that our dog would be ready in 3-4 hours, which is usually the length of time that our puppy spends at her usual groomer. We decided to get her groomed at PetSmart due to its convenient location to our home.At 3:30, I didn't get any call or update on what's going on but I waited patiently. I received a call at 5:30, 6 hours later to say that our dog was finally ready. When my daughter got there, I told her to find out why our dog was there for 6 hours. The groomer, Alissa, informed her that our dog "misbehaved" so she placed her in a cage whilst she proceeded to groom other dogs. With this timeline, our dog was caged for at least 2 hours. Alissa also informed my teenage daughter that her shift was over at 3:30 yet she was forced to stay an extra 2 and a half hours on behalf of our ill-tempered dog. I find Alissa's comment about her having to stay extra time to my teenage daughter extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and INAPPROPRIATE!!My dog gets groomed regularly and her groomer reports her behavior as calm and well tempered. This "misbehavior" that Alissa claims is difficult for me to believe as I have never once seen or heard of my dog misbehaving for neither myself nor her typical groomer.Also, when we picked up our dog, she was panting more than usual and went straight to her water bowl as soon as we walked in the door. It was like they didn't give her water for the whole 6 hours she was there!I would NOT recommend bringing your pet to be groomed here.

Don’t know how to handle fidgety dogs or use soothing approaches to grooming practices. For the record, a bit of lavender oil can go a long way to make anxious dogs feel calmer. They called when my dog was ready for pick up but claimed they were unable to complete the nail clipping or foot trim as my dog was apparently “aggressive”. My dog is a 14 year old Yorkie. He isn’t aggressive but rather anxious in his old age, and I mentioned this from the beginning. I’ve never had this issue with other groomers, it is just a shame that my usual go-to places were booked up for months.

I brought my two Yorkshire terriers there to be groomed. Megan groomed one of my dogs and did an excellent job! I can't say enough about how happy we were! However, my other yorkee was groomed by a different girl. I specifically told her not to cut the hair on the sides of the dog or the hair on her legs too short as it took a long time for it to grow. When I went to pick her up, the girl had cut all the hair off on the sides up to her belly and had chopped the hair off her legs where you could see every razor cut she made. I had to stop her before she razored the hair on her head off. We took her home and found pieces of long hair hanging off her legs that the girl had missed. My little yorkee looked terrible. The next day I went back and told the store what happened and they gave me the money back for the terrible haircut.However, several weeks later when I tried to make an appointment with Megan for the two dogs, I was told that Megan didn't have any appointments available for months and that THEY thought that MY DOGS were not a good fit for THEIR grooming salon. Unbelievable. They hired someone who knows nothing about cutting dogs hair, except to shave it off unevenly every where and then act like my dogs are the one's with a problem. My little yorkee's hair still hasn't grown back and it's been four months!I will never go there again.

I took my puppy to PetSmart Gaithersburg to get groomed because I thought it would save me more time and be closer than the one in Frederick, who btw is outstanding. The groomer called us shortly after we dropped him off and said he was biting her and screaming. We made it clear he was a drama king, but my 18 lb dog has never bit or snapped. I go to pick him up and think to myself he was just nervous - i get in there and clumps of fur hang off him, the groomer did NOT follow instructions and shaved his paws (he's a Chinese crested dog, I said specifically to not shave his paws, tail, or mane). No, 3 paws are down to the claw. He was majorly stressed. The groomer kept repeating, "watch out for that dog, he bites.", "You should sedate him next time", "Your owners need to get you better training". Note - I went in and while mad, was going to take the high road. I even went to pay for the skill-less job she did.I'd recommend NEVER to go there, the Gaithersburg location has unskilled help. Take the extra time to head to Frederick, where they actually understand animals and do their job. I'll never refer or recommend the Gaithersburg location again, garbage.

I wish I took few minutes to read these reviews before I wasted my time at this place. I’m not going to waste more time writing all the details but yes believe these reviews below. They don’t even give proper customer service to people so I highly doubt if they care for our dogs with love once we drop them off. Jazmine who works upfront is extremely rude, impolite and disrespectful to people and dogs. Just take your pet to a salon where they style them with love and skill.

I wish I read the reviews before I spent $100 for a terrible haircut for my dog. They just literally cut short the hairs in the worst way. The stylist can’t even cut the hairs even. I am not sure if the stylist had any training on this before. So regretful!
